Rollarena Skating Center - Kids had a great time!

    Rollarena Skating Center

You have to appreciate that in small corners of this land, there are still rollarenas. For people…read moreof a certain age bracket, these rarified destiniations are assumed to meet a certain quota of nostolgia and absurdity whence you push through the doors. Richland's own Rollarena Skating Center delivers across the spectrum of stereotypes. A beautiful mid-century structure (with some bruises), you are immediately struck by the curved wooden beams and neon cursive lighting spelling out "Rollarena" at the far end. If you're lucky, you'll witness the Hokey-Pokey or Shoot-the-Duck to really envelope you with a flood of childhood memories. Hit the snack bar for some seriously unimpressive pizza or nachos or a slushee to really get those skates moving. Marvel at the bizarre and colorful carpet (where does one get this pattern for their house?!). Hit the gaming corner at the back of the rink and rock some mini-hoop or skee-ball. It hits all the points that you remember and want. Bring the kids or bring your friends and have a fun night out doing something you rarely do.

When I arrived with 3 granddaughters little after 2:58pm man at the window told me they are closing in 2 minutes, I had same experience last time. I had to drive to distance to pick up kids, here we go again I couldn't believe person working there never can tell actual business hours over the phone. They keep telling me the incorrect hours. I don't know how they expect us to come when they are really open for business. It's amazing they are still in the business.

Basically, if you bought a ticket through a specific link, it would give some of the proceeds to the Humane Society. Great event, and great community give back. This event was so fun! For a few extra dollars ($5-$10), you could bring your beloved doggy companion as well. This was a really nice gesture to allow guests to bring their pets. It created a really cute and fun atmosphere. Although not all of the doggies behaved well (problems with barking and whining due to stimuli overload), it was still a fun event that I highly recommend if you're a pet lover. The game itself was really exciting and well played. The guys try really hard to score wins for the team. The excitement and energy really makes me want to go back and watch another game even though I'm not really a hockey fan. As I just said, you don't have to be a hockey fan to enjoy the games. It's an easy to understand game with lots of immediate action. Going home with a win does feel very good. The food could really use some work at concessions. When I go to other sports games like baseball, I have very fond memories of the concessions. But, the food is kinda of meh here. As a kid, I wouldn't really feel a special connection with the food because it tastes kind of... not great. Although the food isn't the best thing you'll ever eat, the prices are not super high. It's fairly affordable if you feel the need to eat.

I was over at the license business, and noticed your store. I had no way to bring them down so my wife called and arranged a van for transport and we were so happy to know that someone can enjoy them, who might not been able to afford them at other stores. So we were overjoyed to help some others to have a recliner! Also the gentleman who helped my wife on the phone was courteous and very helpful. Thanks for the kind help! We will be donating again.

What we found was a very solid Habitat for Humanity restore with some very nice employees. For those who haven't been in a restore before, it's exactly that. A thrift store for household goods. Many of the items are a little on the dated side, but retro is certainly in and there's enough good stuff among the piles. My better half has more than once stopped in to get Barnwood or reclaimed wood for building signs and other pleasantries around our place. Here, they've got plenty of reclaimed doors, A good selection of lighting and just about anything else you need for projects around the home. The proceeds go to Habitat for Humanity and it's nice that things stay within the community. They're open Wednesday through Saturday here 9 to 5 and accept donations Monday through Saturday 9 to 5. The donation area is around back and it's worthwhile to call before hand just to make sure somebody's around. They also schedule pick up at your home for larger items, which is nice! Well worth checking out and note that while the address is on Mead, it's about two blocks off of the main road alongside a warehouse. It feels like Google maps is taking you to some dark alley, but don't worry it's a dark alley with a Habitat for Humanity restore at the end!
