There is the perfect amount of walking and eating on this tour. I highly recommend these tours for anyone visiting Petaluma who is interested in 1) our history, 2) seeing the sights of downtown, 3) meeting our wonderful restaurant owners, and 4) tasting our restaurateurs' culinary delights. After that walk, we drove to two delightful small wineries, off the beaten track in Coombsville- where we had a lovely time with two wine makers. It was like visiting with friends. The wine makers were gracious, and spent a great deal of time with us. They told us how they got started, and shared stories with us. I have been on a lot of tours in the bay area and the wine country, and this tour was one of the best. I will recommend this tour to all my friends.

Walking around downtown Napa felt good! I hadn't seen those hotels before and being able to go inside was great. Bob was both friendly and well-spoken and is a great tour leader. I felt like I learned a lot more about Napa on that tour than I had on any of my previous trips. My girlfriend and I had an absolutely wonderful time - a perfect getaway from San Francisco. Our two day visit was so lovely viewing the wineries and seeing all the beautiful scenery. We visited the Buena Vista Winery, Clif Family Winery, Gundlach Bundschu Winery, Sterling Vineyards, Chateau Montelena, and Mumm Napa. The staff at each of the wineries are so friendly and knowledgeable too. Especially Millie at the Buena Vista Winery. We arrived as strangers and left as friends. She is absolutely adorable!! It's so hard to pick a favorite as they were all so beautiful. The different wines we tasted were just amazing, and the food was delicious! Everything was so perfect. Julie even took the time to drive us by the gorgeous grounds of Castello di Amorosa, as it was closed during our visit. That will be on our bucket list for our next visit. It's just the right combination of the amenities of a great hotel with the feeling you've never left home. It's also great to wake up after a day or two of wine tasting and know that you don't have to be out by noon! There are three different locations on the property to stay from to fit your group size and price range. I stayed at the largest house, known as the Syrah. It has 3 bedrooms and more than enough bathrooms. The kitchen was stocked when we arrived and the entire house was immaculate. We went right out to the pool which was breathtaking! This was the ultimate post-winery relaxation spot, there's an outdoor grill and kitchen and of course it was all about the hot tub! All of the common rooms are big enough for your whole group to sit and relax in, whether it's playing games or watching TV. There's even a Wii, exercise equipment and a selection of good books! There's a fountain in the main parking lot, which you can hear trickling and it's just the ultimate relaxation for say, chronically stressed people like me! The location is just minutes away from the Sonoma Town square where you can grab a bite to eat, of course a drink and relax in the beautiful park outside City Hall. The best part is that the owners are very accommodating and can make anything work as far as your plans are concerned. I can't wait to stay here again!

I made all of my arrangements with Mike Marino and he was great to work with. He replied immediately after my first email inquiry and from there we planned the visit. He also met my husband and I upon arrival at the house and showed us around the property, including the other two rentals on site - very easy going, polite, friendly, all of the above! The house is very well-equipped, nice furniture and linens, very clean, ample room both upstairs and down. The bedrooms are large and 2.5 baths worked out fine for the six of us. The outdoor area is great! Unfortunately, it was cold and pouring down rain all weekend, that's the risk with the end of March! We still utilized the great in-ground hot tub both nights! My girlfriend and I sat under an umbrella, sipping our wine! We can't wait to come back over the summer and use the pool, outdoor kitchen and dining area. The location was perfect for us - close to grocery stores, the downtown Plaza, restaurants, but also not far from the wineries in Glen Ellen and Kenwood. For the Savor Sonoma event, Mike suggested we use CA Wine Tours (he owns the company :-) to rent a limo for the day, which was worth every cent. Again, great service and professionalism. They arrived 10 min early and even took me to Starbucks for an espresso on the way home after all of that wine tasting! Except for Mother Nature, I give the whole weekend 5 stars!

The property is beautiful and well maintained with amazing views of the valley all the way around. Bob, Wendy, and Elizabeth were great hosts and very friendly and really made you feel like you were part of their family. They offered us many suggestions for wine tastings along with a few places to eat in Sonoma. The bikes were an added bonus and the map Bob provided was spot on and he really put thought into the bike routes into town. The Studio had everything we could have asked for and more. We cannot wait to go back to Windhaven and spend more time in the area.

I was setting up a special birthday wine tour and found Jim to be extremely nice, easy to work with and very knowledgeable about the area. I told him what we wanted, what we'd already experienced and what we were really looking for in a wine tasting day and i can say without hesitation that he over delivered and provided an unbeatable experience. Our driver, Randy, was totally in with the Napa scene. We started the day with an itinerary of four fantastic wineries and Randy suggested we skip one and instead visit somewhere else, and it ended up being such a great suggestion. We were able to spend all day talking to vintners, viewing vineyards and properties, eating fresh organic tomatoes, smelling herbs and DRINKINg DRINKING DRINKING delicious wines. From chardonnay to pinot to merlot..shiraz...cabs...even a port - we tasted our way into blissful oblivion. I had originally requested a town car (there were 2 of us) and we were upgraded to a luxury SUV, provided with water (thank god) and Randy was suuuuper nice, fun and added such a wonderful element to our just about perfect day. I would recommend that anyone use Jim's service and I fully plan on only using him and his employees during every trip to wine country.
