First time to be at WWW and I'm impressed on the wide variety of wine they have in here. I need a couple of wines and got my usual red and grabbed a moscato for my wife. The staffs are nice and helpful even they seem really busy. I'm not an expert on wines that's why as much as possible I always ask my friends or in this case the sataffs to help me out on choosing the right one or to give me advice. Recently I went here on a Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday. I tried to pay with Apple Pay. The register I'm at doesn't take it. I'm move to another one. I then have to wait as they help another client which is fine. But there are several other registers and I'm just standing there patiently for about 3 minutes. I then ask if I can be moved to another since other cashiers are taking customers. Thursday. Same issue with the register not taking Apple Pay. What looks like a manager just stands there drinking his coffee. I'm moved to another register that doesn't take apply pay. I take out my physical Apple Card because I feel defeated. Now this cashier is asking me for the last 4 of the card. I give it to her and she tells me it's wrong LOL. I go back and forth for a minute until I ask to use another register (one from Wednesday that took Apple Pay.) What looks like a manager continues to drink his coffee and offers no assistance. This review is coming from someone who is far from a regular wine drinker. What I can say is that as the word warehouse indicates, it's a massive store. Yet, it is well organized and unlike a warehouse, it is bright and tidy inside. They, obviously, had a large variety of all types of wine. For someone with limited knowledge and experience with wine like myself, it was actually a little overwhelming to make a choice. For my purposes, I was just looking for a few inexpensive bottles for an event, and I had no trouble at all finding decent wines for just about $10/bottle. Depending on your purposes, I can also say that the store workers were very friendly and helpful. The stock really runs the gamut and I'm sure it could accommodate anyone's wine needs. read more

I've shopped here before and was pleased. I bought a case of wine and when I checked out, I was charged $1 per bottle more than the price o the shelf. Manager said the wrong ticket was on the shelf. He showed how easily the tag could be switched. Was he accusing me of switching the tags??? I realize that the tag was incorrectly placed . I discovered Westchester Wine Warehouse around the holidays. I'm a reverse commuter who spends my workdays in Westchester and nights and weekends in NYC. I was intrigued by the idea of an entire warehouse of wine, because I've become used to the smaller, crowded Manhattan wine stores, and even sometimes the corner liquor store (bullet proof glass and all). It is certainly a more spacious building than what I've experienced. However, the wine and liquor selection is not as extensive as you would be lead to believe; there are just more bottles of each offering. But the selection is adequate. The store markets its online service as offering an extended selection. However, there have been a number of wines that I searched for and couldn't find. And while they do offer the ability to order what they don't list on the website, the price quotes aren't always competitive. (For example, I found a wine for $14.99/bottle in Manhattan, but was quoted a price of $16 per bottle, with the requirement that I purchase a case). They do however, offer nice gift sets and accessories that are convenient if you're looking for a housewarming gift, Where Westchester Wine Warehouse stands out is their customer service. On my first visit, there were several displays set up with samples, and knowledgeable sales people to make recommendations with respect to wines. Salespeople also walk the floors to help customers in search of bottles (although some can be short of patience). They'll also carry your purchase out to your car, which is a nice touch. Parking in front of the building is somewhat limited and tight. It's often easier to park in the back of the building and walk around. Particularly since they'll schlep your bags to your car for you. read more

I regularly buy the same rum here and I've told their floor reps 2x that the name of the rum on their store shelf label is incorrect and doesn't match the bottle of rum on the rack which I buy. Their shelf label hasn't been changed. And the price of the same rum has increased several times over the last year, and now the 2nd time since the recent Christmas holidays. I am a successful business owner with the ability to purchase any item in this establishment. I might also add I am African American. On 6-30-19, as I was shopping, my wife and I were made very uncomfortable by two of the staff. I was followed around the store and was questioned more than once if "I needed help", or "was I looking for something." Never once did they question any of the white patrons. This is a review of their Delivery Service. I emailed them early Saturday asking if they can deliver a bottle of JW Blue Lable to my dad for Father's Day. I got a call back several hours later telling me they can and that it would be delivered on Father's Day between the hours of 12 - 2PM. Here is what transpired. Sunday - Nothing Arrived, my dad waited by the door and no one showed up. He had to go to a Fathers Day dinner so he left a sign to leave the package with our Neighbor if he was not there. Monday - I called and they apologized for it not being delivered, told me that the owner felt bad and would be hand delivering the package himself on Monday. My dad waited by the door till 7 PM (which is the time they said it would be delivered by). Tuesday - After two days of waiting and them giving us excuses on why it had not been delivered, they called my dad and told him to wait again until 7 PM for the delivery. Are you serious?? How can you give a window of over 8 hours after you have failed to deliver on your promise for two days now? They finally called my dad back and said it would be there by 2 PM. 4PM - Finally my dad got his fathers day gift two days after Father's day and the person delivering it has the audacity to say its a little early but Happy Father's Day. Every sticker has a sale price so you don't get 20% off ...I was a regular customer and the same wines I buy there everyday that's their regular price so where's the 20%. What a gimmick the county department of consumer affairs should go in there. I think it's a scam. I was buying 2 cases of wine and maybe 5 bottles were on the 20% off. Came in here on a whim at around 7pm with a friend who comes here often and is recognized by staff. Now, I don't drink very often so I wasn't purchasing anything but the Cashier Helen (that was the name on the receipt) asked for my ID when 1. I'm not purchasing anything and 2. no one else around was ID'd and I clearly look well over 21. I kindly understood it was store policy. I then realize in my LARGE tote I didn't have my wallet as I left it in my car and my friend who lives up the street quickly picked me up. The manager came over (mask underneath nose) and said a picture is fine so I'm scrolling in my emails for a picture and Helen decides to PULL HER MASK DOWN and make snappy condescending remarks such as "Who doesn't have their wallet when they leave the house" now I'm hearing her out because she's absolutely right it was an honest mistake and I proceed to try to be nice and just laugh it off telling her how last minute these plans were and it's not in my tote it's in my car. I was able to pull up a picture but Helen then pulls her mask down for a 2nd time and says "I mean my mom always taught me to never leave the house without my wallet you weren't taught that?" I'm a successful business owner and absolutely understand store policy and my mistake of leaving my wallet but the lack of professionalism and condescending remarks were unreal and reading all of the other reviews they clearly do not take COVID-19 seriously who pulls their mask down to speak to a customer? read more

Came in for a few bottles of wine. The store is quite large and if you are not an expert you can easily get turned around inside. While walking up and down the isles, I was never approached by an employee for assistance. Staff do not wear any type of uniform or insignia that they work there, but I was finally able to find someone to ask for help. Walking in they have signs stating "mandatory mask requirement, but staff have them pulled down under their chin. I don't really care, but if you make me wear on when I don't want to - you better wear one. Ultimately they did not have the main wine I was looking for and the second one I asked about was just a finger point to isle 4. They didn't walk me over, or even show me were to find it (isles are long, and packed bottle to bottle). This made me walk out without making a purchase. Boycott This Place!! I normally bought (past tense) a case of wine (and more) per month from this place over several years. No longer. Last week I saw a customer shopping with his (AT MOST) 4-year old child. I saw the child open the trap door of the shopping cart, which let loose of all things, a $5 bottle of Sutter Home wine. The bottle broke and the manager came over and berated the customer, yelling at him for being careless. Then he forced the customer to appear at the register like a perpetrator of some terrible crime to pay for the broken bottle. While I will never shop here again, I also I overheard a woman in the parking lot saying she would never shop there again either because of the way this customer was treated (she called it 'ridiculous'). I suppose the irony of all this is that due to ONE broken bottle of SUTTER HOME!!! this business will lose my $600/month average expenditure, PLUS the VICTIM'S business, PLUS the woman's in the parking lot, not to mention anyone else who happened to be silently disgusted by the manager's behavior. The manager should be fired. And they should rethink their store policy to say the least. There are plenty of other smaller, kinder wine stores to patronize in the Tarrytown/Westchester area. read more

Pretty decent selection of wines but terrible cashiers. Talk about grumpy! One standout is the African American gentleman who has on several occasions helped me select vodkas and gins...and I think he is a security guard!!!! But once you get to the counter you are greeted with a sour puss. One particular young lady with black fuzzy hair just pointed across the floor when I asked for a manager. The manager was pretty helpful. But the security guard should be promoted, as he is the most energetic and happy to be there fellow in the place.
