    Wine tasting room

This is a little gem in Glen Ellen / Sonoma. Owner Ryan and his wife Lindsey are the owners, wine makers, and tasting room servers. If you are tired of the impersonal, reservation only, $50-60 tastings and want to experience truly unique and delicious organic wines with a tasting experience that is relaxed, personalized, filled with connection and stories from from winemakers, please do not miss this place!!

Wine Snob* is such a cute and welcoming spot! Lindsey and Ryan have done such a good job making the place cozy and bright. My husband and I just attended a member's night with live music, Erica Ambrin, and food from Chad's Soup Shack. I really love their Syrah - but everything is great. You can tell how much Lindsey and Ryan care about what their doing. Stop by, enjoy the ambiance and the delicious wine.

Great welcoming place! We were passing through on a road trip, and wanted to find a laid back place to sample wine in wine country. We were so thankful to discover this little gem. Lindsay and Ryan were super informative and gave great backstories about each wine. They've put a lot of thought and care into not only the wine, but also the decor. The tasting menu was a great value and were delicious. I would definitely come back again in the future.

Great wine, great atmosphere, and great owners. This place brings a whole new meaning to the phrase "wine snob" - people who love great wine so much they made some of their own. Down to earth, non-pretentious, knowledgeable, charming, and dog friendly!!

I was invited to the grand opening by friends who are club members. We had a wonderful time. All the wines were good and reasonably priced. I left with 4 bottles each of the 2020 Rhose, 2016 Chardonnay and 2015 Tempranillo. It is worth the trip to Glen Ellen to taste Wine Snob* wines.

Loved this little gem! Me, my husband, son and my son's girlfriend were vacationing in July. We took in the sights and saw this cute gem. I wanted to do some wine tasting before heading home. This place did not disappoint! I felt like royalty. The owner personally served us and told us a story about each wine . We were not rushed and he took the time to check on us. We had great conversations and left with a couple of bottles of wine. There's also some souvenirs and jewelry you can purchase too. I also bought some earrings and a couple of wine snob stickers. Thanks for an amazing time!! Can't wait to go back.

Very fun tasting room with friendly hosts and stories. Really enjoyed the heavier reds but all wines were enjoyable and organic as well.

This was the only wine club we ended up joining over our entire trip because they were so good! Laid back atmosphere - overall a great time!

I had the pleasure of bringing six ladies celebrating a bachelorette party from Wisconsin over the weekend to this beautiful Winery ! Patrick their educator gave a top-notch experience and Casey took the time to explain to me the small production of 3000 cases annually and the planting of approximately 14 acres of grapes just a portion of what they own . In addition, the landscaping is beautiful, and though it was smoky due to a fire very much worth being there and taking in the experience ! For those that are passionate about boutique wineries this is definitely one to consider highly recommended !!!

The whole experience took SO long.. when you book…read morethe reservation it states "for 60 delightful minutes, you'll share stories and laughter with a small group of fellow wine enthusiasts" but we were there for 2.5 hours!! I'm not even exaggerating about the time because I have timestamps on photos I took of when I got there and when I left the property. The host took too long in between pours, would repeat information, and generally talked too much. I'm usually one to be intently listening during wine tastings out of respect to the host, but I honestly zoned out a couple times. It wasn't just me, after speaking with the other couples in our group after the experience finished, we all felt the same! There is also a note on their website regarding arrival time.. "to ensure exceptional hospitality to all tasting experiences we must begin and end on time" and because one of the couples were 30 minutes late, the experience started 30 minutes late.. which I get it, there could have been traffic, but other places this has happened the host has offered an additional pour to accommodate those who had been there on time, or they should have started without them because that's their written policy online! Note to those who are sensitive to the sun.. do not come here without sun protection, the umbrellas over the outdoor terrace seating do not provide any UV protection whatsoever, I was sunburnt after this tasting (yes, even with sunscreen). The views don't make up for the lack of hospitality. Neither did their wine, not memorable, too acidic, and I am typically one who enjoys a big Howell Mountain cab.

They can't really advertise from the street, and I probably wouldn't have found it without Yelp! The wines are excellent and come with a great story. One detail I especially loved is that they age their wines in Hungarian oak, which gives them something a little different and special. Gwen, the tasting room manager, was fantastic. She was welcoming, knowledgeable, and really took the time to tell us the story behind the wines and Obsidian. The tasting room has only been at this location for about two years, but it feels like one of those Sonoma spots you're glad you discovered. The space itself is small, modern, relaxed, and friendly. There's outdoor seating for beautiful Sonoma days, but if it's really hot, I recommend sitting inside and enjoying the AC. Definitely worth seeking out if you're around Sonoma Square. Great wine, great storytelling, and a wonderfully low-key experience.

We were first introduced to them back when they had their tasting room at Cornerstone Gardens in Sonoma. The setting there was incredibly welcoming--especially with our three young kids at the time--and between the atmosphere and the wines, we were hooked from the start. The wines are consistently outstanding. Their Lake County lineup really stands out, and the Volcanic Estate Cabernet has been a go-to in our house for years--it's always been reasonably priced and somehow overdelivers every single time we open a bottle. On the other end of the spectrum, the Half Mile is more of a special occasion wine for us, and it never disappoints. Winemaker Alex clearly knows what he's doing--his reds are fantastic across the board. The Cabernet, Petit Verdot, and Malbec from that volcanic Lake County fruit are bold, expressive, and incredibly well made. We've been wine club members for years now, which says a lot. Great wines, great people, and a place that's been part of our family's wine journey for a long time. Highly recommend.
