Great Lady and Owner of this very social wine bar where most folks drink beer and some drink vino.

Ambiance is my first choice to describe how awesome and welcoming this socially conscious wine bar is to new folks dropping by. Bar keep/owner just is happy go lucky as she wil yell at ya to Come on In and sit a spell. Super fun place with local folks sharing their stories and giving advice without permission... lol. I share return when I journey thru here again. Cheers to joyful memories.

What a gem y'all! We were staying in Post, Texas at the historical Hotel Garza B&B for my birthday weekend and noticed a few cars in front of this establishment. We were curious so we walked over to see what we might be missing. I'm glad we ventured inside! It's a 1/2 block off the highway on the charming E. Main Road. I don't know what the historic building looked like before, but the owner has done a fantastic job on the inside and out. The owner Michelle is a hoot. She will make anyone feel welcomed. She said they had just opened in June. The locals that were there that day were just as friendly. When we were there on Friday about 7:00, it was low key and chill, but our understanding is that a small crowd had just left. We sat at the bar and had a good time visiting with the other folks there. There's also chairs and couches if you want to sit with your group or a friend. The wine selection was great. My husband was glad to have some cold bottled brews. And the charcuterie board was delicious - a perfect balance of savory and sweet. We loved it so much, we went back on Saturday for the live music from 7:00-10:00. and that place was packed! I'm glad we got there early enough for our little group to grab a couch and a few chairs. Everyone was having a great time. Michelle was working hard. I'm not one for public attention, but she mentioned a Happy Birthday serenade to the customers around her and it just took off. Before you know it, the whole place was singing. It was sweet and everyone was having fun. The ambiance is perfect. The place is clean. The wine is good. The beer is cold. The charcuterie boards are tasty. The company is great. The prices are reasonable. Whether you're staying in Post or just driving thru, WH127 is worth the stop. The locals have a real gem with this place. Hopefully Winehouse at 127 will make its mark and stay for the long haul. We'll be back for sure.

While sitting in the Walmart parking lot researching places near where I'm staying for work in Lubbock, I came across The Funky Door Bistro Wine Room. I'm so glad I did. When I pulled up, I appreciated the ample parking and immediately noticed the unique wine‑glass door handles--such a fun touch. Inside, the décor is warm and inviting with wood accents, dim lighting, and a beautiful display of wines. The upstairs seating overlooking the main floor adds to the charm. The service was excellent from start to finish. I ordered a grapefruit mimosa and an egg‑white omelet with avocado, feta, spinach, and breakfast potatoes with caramelized onions and peppers. I was charged extra for egg whites, but it was absolutely worth it. Everything was flavorful and cooked perfectly. From the hostess to the server, the service and timing were spot‑on. I truly enjoyed my brunch at The Funky Door. Thank you for a great experience.

Menu prices incorrect on wine, and about $100 more than cost. Kids meals came with a drink according to the kids menu, but we were charged $3 per drink. Extra bread for fondu was $5. And to top it off a 3.5% credit card fee!

I would also highly recomend going on Saturday for their brunch menu! The only thing I would say is that it seemed like they were understaffed a little and the drink menu isnt the best, but thats my own opinion.

I will give major props to the server, Mollie, and her manager for doing a phenomenal job resolving a minor issue with the order quickly, politely, and effectively. The atmosphere was fair with good music and humorous decor in the bathroom. The lights weren't for me, but others may like the statement. Where The Reserve was lacking was the food. The pepperoni pizza was pretty good, but again there are better options around town. It did taste like it had been prepared in a genuine brick oven. The tortellini was bland. The queso was good enough, but nothing to get excited about. The salsa was downright terrible. The chips were actually phenomenal. The margarita made no attempt to cover up the strong taste of tequila. The Chilton tasted like club soda and not much else. Lastly, some of the surprise fees made me feel like I was booking air travel or paying a wireless bill rather than getting a nice meal. The final charge was a few dollars more than what was shown on the ticket. I assumed this was probably due to a service charge for paying with a card, although I didn't see it with a quick glance at the receipt. In all fairness, I'm sure this was disclosed somewhere and I overlooked it. I have come to accept this as the way of the world now. Also, when we ordered the chips and queso, we were asked if we wanted salsa with it. We accepted the salsa with the assumption that it was complimentary. Granted, since we were asked, I should have assumed that there was a charge for it. The charge was reasonable, although wasted because the salsa was so terrible. I did receive approximately a 5% discount for the order mix-up, and I actually ended up with a free pizza as well. The service and attentiveness were truly exemplary. I would give this place a second chance if I were in the area, but I certainly will not go out of my way for it.

On Saturday, May 16, 2026, my family and I had dinner here after my niece's dance recital. We just walked in & found a table. No reservations. My daughters and I were first to get there even though my brother said he would probably beat me there. Ha! We ended up getting tables scooted together for 18. Almost half of our party were kids and one baby. I enjoyed the food but I could tell the fries were the frozen variety. My daughter's turkey club came with sweet potato waffle fries so she asked me to switch my regular fries with her. I obliged. My beer battered cod was really good. Flaky. Wonderful tartar sauce. And while the cole slaw was a bit soupy, it was delicious. The best I have tried in a very long time. So there are three key things... For large parties a 18% gratuity is automatically added. If you use a credit card, a 3% charge will also be added to your bill. And lastly, they were a bit slow in getting food out to us, but not terrible. I just wish they had brought the youngest kiddos their food FIRST and not last! Other than that, Maria V. did a fine job. Very kind and respectful and remembered most of our items. At home I make dirty martinis with both gin and vodka, but when I was asked I had to choose just one. Lol. I asked for vodka. The female bartender did make them really good though. The restrooms were clean. I love the inside with the dark ceilings, bird cages over the chandeliers, and the rustic feel of the brick walls. We were there from about 6:47 until almost 9 PM. I had to throw this in from the movie "The Last Word": Harriet Lauler: "Do you find any problem in procuring me a disadvantaged youth to mold?" Anne Sherman: "Oh, um, Home Depot is probably getting another shipment in soon. The shelves will be stocked." Harriet: "Sarcasm, the wit of the witless." Anne replies as Harriet walks out of the Anne's apartment: "Condescension, the repartee of the rude." (Harriet stops in her tracks.) continues, "Sorry. Sh... shit. Sorry." Harriet: "No. No, no. Never apologize for speaking your mind." This review was certainly written with Harriet's mantra taking into account.
