Went in and saw a nice synthetic stock for a 10/22. Showed it to my wife and she wanted it. We bought it, asked how it is installed, and they told us "You just take the 10/22 apart and slip it inside this new stock". Easy right? WRONG. It is an Archangel stock, and it requires a bunch of work. Came with no instructions so we needed to look them up online. It was missing the extended magazine release, and the rear sight needed taken off. We couldn't figure it out so we took it back to Gunhawk, and they said, "Yeah, that release is on the gun we took it off of." What? Yeah, it turns out they sold me a used stock (looked brand new) without telling me it was used. They offered to install the stock for us, and remove the rear sight. We figured it would be fine, and left the rifle with them. After calling every day for a week, they said the rifle was done. We went in, and yep, it was all together. I asked for the 10/22 magazine release latch they had removed, in case we wanted to replace it in the future, put it back to stock. "Sorry, we put it on the other rifle." What? We then asked for the sight they removed to get the stock on... "Well, that's the thing, those are really hard to get off, and it got all mangled up. Sorry". Say again? Needless to say, my wife just wanted her rifle, and they lost my business. I've since then just turned to the internet, as even with shipping most items and ammo is about 20% cheaper than their prices. I wish them luck in the future, but I won't be going back.

The people working their are very friendly and quick to strike up conversation, prices run the gambit, but nothing I would call crazy (Other than the occasional consignment item being priced by someone who CLEALRY loved it lol). Their in house ammo quality is sound, I have yet to have an issue that was caused by their ammo and it shoots well. Worth a visit for sure.

The paperwork process was prompt and simple and our firearms were ready 7 days later! Great place with a ton of inventory, reasonable pricing too! Okay, I have been visiting this Sportsman's Warehouse outlet its opening on August 28, 2004 (and I…read morehave the giveaway coffee mug to prove it!), and they generally have a good selection of guns and ammo at decent (and sometimes great - watch for the sales) prices. It's worth signing up for their emails because you can stay ahead of the specials that way - however this can be injurious to your wallet. I just visited to select, buy and pick up a new heater and I want to make a point to thank both Lance and Ray at the gun counter - they were friendly in addition to being professional and their spirit made these visits nice. Sportsman's Warehouse doesn't get five stars only because they are so brutally understaffed at the gun counter - it simply takes a long time to get anything done because there aren't enough staff there to handle the amount of business they have going on. I'm sort of surprised that management doesn't address this, as I see people getting tired of waiting and walking out of the store every single time that I visit. Management, you're leaving money in their wallets: they came to spend it, and you don't have enough staff to take it - get with the program!

I went ahead and paid for it online and was notified that I could pick it up tomorrow. I went to the store this morning and discovered that my order was not ready and they could not tell me if the ammo was in stock or if it had to be shipped to their store. I later received an email advising that they were in the process of shipping the ammo to the store and that the estimated pick-up date is on June 9th. This is completely unacceptable. I wasted my time driving from the East Mountains this morning to their store; their staff could not tell me if they had this ammo in stock and then I am notified that I will have to wait an additional 9 days to get my order. If I had known this, I would have purchased the ammo elsewhere in Albuquerque today. I was unsuccessful in trying to find a way to cancel this order on my online account. In any event, this is the last time I will ever give Sportsman's Warehouse my business. You can make your own decisions, however, I do not recommend this store.

No supply of used guns, maybe 8-10 used guns. I tend to gravitate towards the used stuff. Firearm pricing was MSRP, as were the accessories - mostly. Stocked ammo was priced on the higher side. But if you need a box or 2 right away they'll probably have it. I didn't see any real bargains or something I couldn't live without. Maybe another time.

He gave us some BS story about not being able to sell handgun ammo to anyone under 21. Which even if that were true (which it is not), I'm 40. If the guy didn't want to sell me ammo they should have told me on the phone instead of changing their story twice after I already drove the whole way there. Plus he was a big jerk about it. Just drive the rest of the way to Albuquerque. Hopefully these guys will go out of business soon.
