Stopped by without much expectation, but they had a pretty solid selection of camping gear. Their prices were pretty competitive. You can probably find some items cheaper online, but I would gladly pay a bit more here to see things in person and get the quality products they offer. Staff experience was mixed. Some staff members were very attentive and friendly, while others felt unapproachable and seemed to completely ignore customers which was a bit off-putting. The security guard was very friendly. Okay, I have been visiting this Sportsman's Warehouse outlet its opening on August 28, 2004 (and I have the giveaway coffee mug to prove it!), and they generally have a good selection of guns and ammo at decent (and sometimes great - watch for the sales) prices. It's worth signing up for their emails because you can stay ahead of the specials that way - however this can be injurious to your wallet. I just visited to select, buy and pick up a new heater and I want to make a point to thank both Lance and Ray at the gun counter - they were friendly in addition to being professional and their spirit made these visits nice. Sportsman's Warehouse doesn't get five stars only because they are so brutally understaffed at the gun counter - it simply takes a long time to get anything done because there aren't enough staff there to handle the amount of business they have going on. I'm sort of surprised that management doesn't address this, as I see people getting tired of waiting and walking out of the store every single time that I visit. Management, you're leaving money in their wallets: they came to spend it, and you don't have enough staff to take it - get with the program! read more

This is a nice sports and outdoor type of store for those that enjoy the outdoors activities such as hunting, fishing, hiking, shooting...ect. It's descent in size. They had so many items labeled as clearance but prices even with clearance were on the higher end. However, customer service Was excellent and people were willing to assist you locate merchandise. All of the staff including Adrian which is not included in the picture were very rude and would do any and everything they could to ignore me and act like they didn't see me they took customers that showed up after I did Even though I was there to pick up the weapon I had already purchased. I have been a customer of this store for a long time, however, today is the last straw. Their website showed that they had available in their store a box of 100 Winchester .380 ACP ammo. I went ahead and paid for it online and was notified that I could pick it up tomorrow. I went to the store this morning and discovered that my order was not ready and they could not tell me if the ammo was in stock or if it had to be shipped to their store. I later received an email advising that they were in the process of shipping the ammo to the store and that the estimated pick-up date is on June 9th. This is completely unacceptable. I wasted my time driving from the East Mountains this morning to their store; their staff could not tell me if they had this ammo in stock and then I am notified that I will have to wait an additional 9 days to get my order. If I had known this, I would have purchased the ammo elsewhere in Albuquerque today. I was unsuccessful in trying to find a way to cancel this order on my online account. In any event, this is the last time I will ever give Sportsman's Warehouse my business. You can make your own decisions, however, I do not recommend this store. read more

Not the biggest or the most complete, but still a place to find some reasonably priced gear. Disappointedly the shelves are still sparse. I'm not sure if it's continuing supply chain issues or reducing merchandise purchases while negotiating a sale to larger outdoor chain. It fell through. Hopefully the shelves will be filling up soon. The store was busy, but not crowded. Employees were friendly and more than willing to answer questions or help locate an item. As much as I like the "little guy" there are retailers with better selections within a few miles away. If you're in the area it's not a bad place to shop - but you'll need to set the expectation level low. read more

Got lucky, walked in today only one in line. Sales guy Dustin was on the phone looking up something for a customer. Guy in front didn't like waiting (5 minutes) so he walked away. Win for me because Dustin finished Then turned & looked at me. I said rough day? He laughed "It can be" ask what can he do for me? He was able to help me with selection process, but the gun I wanted wasn't available. Instead of trying to sell me on something I didn't need he gave me information on how to order on line then pick up at store. I told Dustin I was also interested in a semiautomatic shotgun which after 15 min we had the M12AK as my gun of choice. Dustin showed great patience & customer service skills in my purchase. He made the background check smooth & easy. Key to things I saw: Sales people are busy, so choose the time of day carefully Ammo sales are through the roof, so they are mostly sold out. I was about to spend $120 on windbreaker pants for motorcycle riding at REI before I came here. I am SO happy I found this place because not only did I find what I was looking for, but also found it on sale! I spent $25 on the pants and they work just fine. The workers are a bit sparse, but once you find someone they're very helpful. Check this place out before going to REI. read more

One would think that inventory for a firearm should be accurate but, not at Sportsman's. Twice in the past few months I've been told on the website that the item was in stock and available for pick-up only to be told in the store that the item is not there. Seems sketchy. Also I cannot count the amount of times I have had the "pleasure" of dealing with completely rude employees. Oh wait.... Twice today. Further update, I contacted the number and email provided and, they were equally unhelpful, provided no answers or resolutions. Also, they hide the info labels/price tags on their guns in the case. I assume because their guns are overpriced. I have been going to Sportsman's Warehouse for years. Darren at the knifes and optics counter is the best person to work with if you ever have any questions about anything! His knowledge about anything outdoors is amazing. If he is available on site it is well worth the time to talk to him first! Do not purchase a firearm from sportsman's warehouse. They don't use the Brady law like literally every other gun store i've ever gone to. I'm now coming up on one month that they've had it and will not give it to me. And just to be clear, I am able to purchase firearms, but I always have to wait. If the item you bought goes on sale right after you buy it they won't refund the difference. Also had an online order that I picked up in store. They sent me the wrong shoes and the only option was to return it and rebuy them online (hopefully it's still on sale or they have your shoe size available!) I waited in line today 9/14/2020 (starting at 4:30pm) for an hour and a half to look at and buy a firearm. I forgot my zip code on my drivers license was not current. To solve this issue I went up front to print my hunting license which they suggested. When I returned to the counter to make the purchase the employee told me I would need to get back in line. (I clarified with the employee asking if he meant the back of the line? He confirmed to me he did indeed mean the back of the line.) This was because the employee that was helping me "had to go home". The line was now 2x as long. I understand not dropping everything to help me but tell me to sit tight and finish up with the other customer. What HORRIBLE customer service. I guarantee EVERY SINGLE customer in that line would have understood letting me finish my transaction without needing to go back to the end of the line. Needless to say, I left the store very disappointed that I wasted my afternoon after getting off early from work. read more

I received an email from Sportsman's that advertised a firearm I had been looking for. I clicked over to the website and made the purchase immediately. That was Feb 28, and my emailed invoice stated estimated pickup to be March 7. On March 9, after having heard nothing further, and when checking the order online it still stated "pending", I called to see what was up. I was told "the firearms acquisition team was working on acquiring the gun and would be in touch." Excuse me? You sold me a gun you don't even have? And you have a team that is doing the same thing I can do myself, I.e. find a gun online? And my credit card was charged? I hung up, found the exact same firearm at another source for the exact same price (although I had to pay shipping), made the purchase, called SW back and said to cancel the order. Now I get placed on hold for a few minutes, and when the person came back on the phone was told the firearms team had been notified and would "attempt to cancel" my order within a few days. Gracious! As an aside, I got an email the next day stating that my new pickup date was March 24, almost one month after placing the order. Folks, this outfit doesn't know how to do business apparently. They lost me as a customer, permanently. I suggest you look elsewhere for your sporting goods supplies. read more

Was in Albuquerque, and wanted to hit up a local ammo shop in search of said mythical beast. I'd heard of this place, but never been in one. HOLY COW! It's a Costco for hunters! This place is HUUUUUGGGEEE!! There's definitely something for EVERY outdoorsman. It took a bit, but I finally found the guns/ammo section, and indeed, the mythical beast wasn't present....but I spent a good ten minutes wandering around in wonder. Purchased a new liberty safe online and when the safe movers delivered it, they obviously sold me a floor model with obvious damage to the interior and exterior. It didn't come wrapped in plastic or have the warranty info and instructions as how to set the combo. After talking to a manager, the only thing he offered was a 100.00 gift card! Not acceptable for a damaged 1300.00 safe that was supposed to be new. Had I not paid 300.00 to have it delivered, I would have returned it in a heartbeat. Ordered a pistol 30 days ago. Went online to check the order status and my account said I had no outstanding orders. Called the store to see what was up and was told after a few transfers to multiple people that it arrived 3 days ago but they did not know where it was. I said ok what my next step since I paid for it already. They said there was nothing they could do which made no sense. So after 5 minutes of trying to find out what that meant I was told to call back in 4 days so they have time to track it. This is my Toys R Us! I love their selection of everything. Any time we are going fishing hunting camping in the mountains or at the lake this is our first stop. Endless supply of goods. Their layout is simple their Decor is awesome, and there is plenty of parking. A little pricey but this is not Walmart quality goods. I notice a lot of made in the USA tags in here. read more
