My friend spotted Wing Hua 2, on the way to work and she stopped in to pick up our lunch for the day. I ordered the sesame chicken lunch combo- chicken fried crispy and spicy. The chicken wasn't as crispy as I would have liked it and not spicy at all. It was tender but the sesame sauce was sugary sweet. The pork fried rice was scrumptious. My egg roll was really good. I would definitely eat from Wing Hua 2 again but I'll try something besides the sesame chicken. read more

Looks clean. Looks efficient. And definitely does the occasional Chinese food fix. Food is pretty good not that the place next door isn't that great anymore. Actually over the years this place hasn't disappointed me. This time is a bit different. First of all, I am addicted to yelps ordering with GrubHub and it's been a life saver. Except need to pay some tax hehe, I don't have to make that call in the middle of a crowd and screaming my sesame chicken over with extra sesame over the phone. Back to the food, i found out they have a dinner combo special for like $10 which is reasons and beside that, the portion is actually enough for 2. Reason I love Chinese food. You get your bang for every dollar you spend. On top of that, they throw in a egg roll. Food for pick up is fast. I got there around 10 minutes after ordering, I got my stuff and on my way. So, on a hunt for my local hood Chinese spot, the reviews on this place were doable. We ordered Shrimp Egg Foo Young , Chicken in Garlic Sauce and crab rangoon. My Sister liked the egg foo you d and my chicken in garlic sauce came spicy and nice flavor. The fried rice was one of the better ones I've had. So I've found my spot for Chinese in the area. I could have sworn I wrote a review for this place already, but it must have slipped my mind! Wing Hua 2 is literally down beneath my apartment and one building over. If you have guests over and are drunk and have the "I need take-out immediately" vibe going on, but only until midnight, this is a great option. Mostly, because there is a lot of disgusting take-out along Church Avenue. I don't need to pay for delivery. (Jeez, I'm not that lazy) Also, it's ridiculously cheap. They have combination meals ($5.45-5.75, which comes with either soup/egg roll/soda and fried rich for lunch, $6.75-7.55 for the all day combo) all with pretty fresh vegetables and which I've tried the generic stuff before: chicken/or beef with broccoli, general tso's, who knows what else. I don't make a habit of this though because I generally cook my own meals unless I am out. Their dumplings I wouldn't recommend. They have tough skins like most of crappy Chinese hole-in-the-walls. Their sesame noodles are not bad. They don't put in globs of peanut butter and actually have some kind of sesame sauce and not paste that works well and isn't insanely heavy with shock of the century vegetables on top. But what I would recommend that I had never tried before until late Saturday night are their warm roast pork buns under the appetizer menu and run you only $1.50 each. Thinking these would be dumpling sized I ordered 2. But no, they are huge! So I gave one to my friend that looked at it skeptically. If I could eat anything every day for the rest of my life that isn't fro yo, this might be it. To explain it though is a tough one. They are kind of like over sized Hawaiian sweet rolls stuffed with pork and a hoisin sauce like glaze. The inside tastes like smoky sweet bbq pork cubes. I never knew this even existed but I guess its official name is "Cha siu Bao" and is Cantonese. This makes me love Wing Hua 2 even more. I have no idea by the way why it is number 2. read more

If I could give this business less than one star I would. I ordered food from here and it took me 2 and a half hours to even figure out what was going on with my order (keep in mind, their business is only 5 BLOCKS AWAY!) Finally my patience grew thin and I called the restaurant only for them to have me on hold for 20 minutes (I can only assume they hadn't even started my order or forgot it completely). Eventually, the phone disconnected and I, for whatever reason, couldn't get a hold of them again. I contacted eat 24 and they got in contact with them and told me my order was on its way. It finally arrived (after about 30 more minutes) and the delivery guy was extremely rude to me and even hassled me for not giving him a tip! Finally I opened my order, only for it to be WRONG and missing items. Thank goodness for Eat 24 for refunding my order. I tried to order something again today (hoping that my previous experience was a one time occurrence) and they've actually blocked me from ordering, or at least i assumed they did since on yelp it says "sorry this place doesn't deliver to you" lmao. The food here isn't good. Unfortunately the only good Chinese delivery place we've found in the neighborhood is vegetarian-only, and sometimes we want something else. Our order included mushu shicken (edible but weak, with machine-made pancakes and a cloyingly sweet sauce), chicken chow-fun (pretty good), and vegetable dumplings (so bad they went straight into the trash). I don't think I've ever taken a bite of a takeout order and just thrown out the rest, so these dumplings were a brand new low--thick, chewy, doughy, gluey skin, with pallid and flavorless filling. Are these stuffed with your cutting board scraps? Or did you buy them frozen from the lowest bidder? Come on, people. This is the food of utter thoughtlessness and neglect. The neighborhood doesn't need this. Why not act like you care? Two stars rather than one, because the best alternatives aren't much better. For the moment. read more

I used to go to another Chinese restaurant but they unfortunately closed down and with that I needed to find a new one and Wing Hua 2 is really good. I usually order the same thing because it's so good (C30) but the ladies at the cash register is sweet and they would eventually know who you are. This is my go-to place for Chinese take-out. I ordered the sesame chicken and they only give like 2 broccoli pieces. I was shocked because other places I go to give a lot more vegetable sides. The portions are huge and the prices are cheap. I can eat the food for lunch and save the rest for dinner and I would be completely satisfied. The food is delicious as well. My sesame chicken was fried to perfection and the accompanying sauce was sweet as well. I also LOVE the hot and sour soup here. I'm writing this review about a fast food Chinese food establishment. Wing Hua II has been a walk away from my place for more than a decade now. Came home late today and saw and decided to step in and grab something to go. I ordered the double sautéed roast pork. This is the first time I've ever ordered that dish and I must say for fast food Chinese it was quite delicious. It had the spicy indicator on the menu but it wasn't spicy at all except for a slight heat at the back end. This was one of the dishes that only came in the quart size (btw always keep those plastic containers they are great for Tupperware lunch or leftovers) The staff is always friendly. I've never had delivery since I live so close but I see the delivery guys on their scooters zipping away all the time, so I'm sure they are efficient. Since moving into the neighborhood I've ordered from here dozens of times. The food was consistently yummy (and cheap), and delivery was always surprisingly quick. The perfect kinda place to order from when you don't feel like cooking dinner. Over the past month or two they've taken a total nose dive. My last couple of orders have taken over an hour and a half to arrive but I figured they were just having off nights. Tonight I opted to try pick up on my way home from work and unfortunately it wasn't any better. They forgot the sauce on one of the chicken dishes and the veggie fried rice had maybe two pieces of broccoli total. It's pretty tough to mess up wonton soup, but the filling tasted like old playdough. To top it off, the fortune cookies I always order (which they charge for btw) never managed to make their way into the bag. Guess it's time to find a new take out joint. First time ordering from here and very disappointed. Ordered a large Curry Beef (#66) and the flavor was awful. Hardly any curry taste and the vegetables had a funny metallic taste. My grandson ordered Sesame Chicken (S1) and the the dish looked really good. He really loves Sesame Chicken and was disappointed also with this dish. He said some of the chicken pieces had an off taste. Also ordered Fried Dumplings (#9) that seemed they were refried. I've eaten here a few times.. I'd say the food is what I expect chinese food to taste like. Seasoned right, not too salty.. The hot and sour soup is one of my favorites in the neighborhood though. I wanted beef today, so tried the beef and broccoli lunch special. It tasted good, plenty if broccoli, sauce and rice, but had me saying 'Where's the beef??' They are quick, easy, fast and cheap. Thats the way I like my food. I order from here once a month when me and my bf are lazy. Their lunch special is pretty good $5 for the meal and soup/ drink. There are so many options in this neighborhood for Chinese Food but this place IMHO is the best one! Their employees including their delivery guy are pretty friendly.
