    Wing King Express storefront.

Yesterday, after shopping at Buford Highway Farmer's Market, I was driving through the parking lot away from that store and, for the very first time, noticed a store sign for Wing King Express. It was lunch time, and I wasn't in a hurry to get home but I was hungry. I decided without even looking at the Yelp reviews to get some wings at Wing King Express. Parking looks like it's always available, since there is a small parking lot shared with only a couple of other close neighboring businesses. I walked in, and a woman behind the cash register quickly greeted me. I'm glad she said something, because I probably would've missed seeing her if she hadn't said anything or if she decided to stand still and not move. It took me a few minutes to look over all of the menu items, and I think the woman just silently looked at me while she waited for me to order. No other customers were in the store at the time, and I could hear someone moving around and making noises in the kitchen area. I finally ordered 10 wings with the dry lemon pepper rub, and fries. While I waited about 15 minutes, other customers came in and picked up their orders that they had previously called in. The woman at the front counter consistently got each order from the cook, then opened up the container so that the customer could visually confirm that was the order and that everything was ok. Very good process to follow! My order was up, so the woman at the counter looked at me, smiled and nodded. I walked up to her, and she showed me the food in the container. Looked and smelled good. The employee asked if I wanted to put seasoning salt on my fries, and she pointed to a shaker on the counter. I decided to season my fries there, but didn't put very much on my fries. The employee then asked if I wanted a drink. I didn't realize that the drink came with my meal, and, after I said, "No," she told me that the drink was included. What I really wanted was an iced tea, but that wasn't an option out of all the carbonated canned drinks and the bottled water. I decided to get a can of soda that I will eventually drink, and left so that I could eat at home. It only took about 5 minutes for me to drive home. The wings were still hot, but were inconsistently covered by dry lemon pepper rub. Because of this, the flavor on the wings ranged from very good to barely flavored. I'm not sure if it's because of the delay in eating the wings or not, but the wings were consistently on the chewy side, instead of crispy. The wings were decently sized - bigger than pigeon sized wings and smaller than wings from steroid-fed chickens. I didn't like the flavor of the fries at all. No amount of seasoning could help positively flavor these fries. I suggest skipping the fries and ordering the fried rice. The fries were the frozen crinkled fries, but they tasted like they weren't cooked long enough. The prices are good, and there are other items on the menu, and if I decide to come back I would definitely not order the fries again.

Went here over the weekend to pick up food that we called in. When we got there to pick it up we had to wait because they did not have our order correct at all. At first the guy was saying its already done as if we had to take a order we did not ask for. Then they were all speaking in Spanish until they realized my husband could totally understand everything they were saying. He began to speak to them in their language. The lady there had been trying to tell the gentleman that my husband placed the order she wrote down when he called. Which was incorrect. I was right there so I heard him After this they decided that they were going to redo our order and we had to wait. Other than that the food was decent. My cheesesteak was good once the finally fixed it

My boyfriend and I were craving wings one day but all the different wing spots around us were closed due to a holiday so we drove about 40 minutes to this spot since it was the closest one that was open that day and it was honestly worth the drive. I am glad we found this spot because it has the best tasting Philly and Wings. It was similar to American Deli but it had a distinct flavor. I got the Philly and Wings combo and my boyfriend got the fried rice and wings combo. Both were very delicious that we came back days later.

My co-workers ordered from here and I must say I felt like I was back home in Decatur, GA. Very straight to the point wing flavors. The hot wing sauce on my chicken just had that old school ATL/Decatur flavor. Very spicy, yet tangy. Today is my second time dining here. Ordered the same thing; 6 pc combo HOT, with vegetable fried rice. The rice was fresh and had the perfect medley of the usual carrots and peas, and some additional broccoli, onions and green beans. Yummy! Requested my wings crispy and they were! Health score: 90 Young lady at the front register was very polite, fast and they show you your food before they bag it. Awesome food and service. I'm a fan!

20 piece combo w/ dry garlic parmesan & honey lemon pepper and shrimp fried rice

Ordered takeout from here recently. I called beforehand and it was ready when I arrived 10 min later. I ordered the 20 piece with shrimp fried rice. I got honey lemon pepper and dry garlic Parmesan. The wings were a good size and they were nice and crispy. The rice was good too and although it was a small side order that came with the meal there was plenty to eat. I really enjoyed the garlic Parmesan they were perfect. I don't think I'd do the honey lemon pepper again simply because I'm so used to regular lemon pepper and the sweetness kept catching me off guard. But they definitely were a nice combo of sweet and tangy. I was offered plenty of soy and duck sauce for my rice and option of blue cheese versus ranch for the wings. This meal also came with a drink so I got a can of soda to go. I think this is going to be my go to place for takeout wings. There is some seating inside however it's a little cozy and you'll probably end up smelling like fried food. Also there's plenty of parking out from. They're located on Buford Highway in front of the farmers market plaza that also has a Marshall's.

This isn't on the menu but is on a poster behind the counter across from the restrooms. Very poor placement

Wowza! I am in total like of this new wing place, I have no idea what used to be here, but I'm glad we came across the Wing King Express tucked next to T-Mobile and within the same shopping ctr as Buford Hwy Farmer's Mkt thanks to yelp! The ordering and check out is pretty self-explanatory, walk in and you will see the counter for both. SO decided on the 10 wings combo w/ shrimp fried rice and I decided on the fish and shrimp combo. I do wish that they had a combo for the fish & fried rice, but unfortunately it only comes with fries. We arrived after the lunch rush, so our food was all made to order and served piping hot. My fried, butterflied shrimp were large and really good. The 2 fish pieces were quite large too! However, I couldn't stop stealing from SO's plate as the fried rice was delicious and charred perfectly! The wing pieces were also perfect - not the scrawny, dried pieces and they were not the wow.. was that chicken fed steroids huge either. Service was quick and cheerful. However, I wish that the condiments station was stacked adequately with things other than plastic utensils and a small amount of napkins. Also, there is a menu of lunch combo specials that was posted across from the bathroom. I really would have liked to order off of that, since there was much more mix-and-match options, but because of the poster placement I only saw it after we had ordered and paid. Next time tho!

You guys may be my wing spot sometime, when I'm in the city. But don't ever talk shit about a customer when they are standing there. Even if it's another language. It disrespectful! It makes me very angry! It made me so angry! Don't laugh and talk shit about me.... Your mother must have not taught you manners because it shows with the way you carry yourself! It's Covid! Why is no one wearing a mask! So unsafe

Highly addictive. I liked these more than the Sesig. I don't mean that as a bad thing, but I'd go back just for these! Ambiance is loud. Lots of people crammed into a smaller space that is optimally situated to accept as many people as possible. Very organized and well oiled. The use of the radios among the loud crowd might not make this a good "date night spot" if you're wanting to talk or if you're fine with your discussion getting lost in the noise. The decorations are very islands inspired. Well worth the experience overall!

Based on the reviews and pictures I saw I decided to give Three Buddies a try. Three Buddies was easy to find as it sits right on the main road. They have their own parking lot so there is ample parking so once I turned, I hopped into a park and we headed inside. Three Buddies has a simple decor as the design aesthetic is straightforward and leaves the focus on the restaurant name itself. The restaurant was very clean and had a diner style setup with ample seating. Once seated, the waitress approached us with a warm smile and cheerful greeting. She provided us with menus, took our drink order, and allowed us some time to review the menus in full. With a variation of halal items on the menu, Three Buddies had me wanting a little bit of everything. However, I decided to go with a classic approach and get the Chicken Sandwich (fried) with Onion Rings (both well done). Once our order was placed, it was back to the enjoyment of the ambiance as we engaged in our conversation. When our food arrived at the table, the visual presentation was extra enticing. The aroma was captivating and after saying grace, o was ready to eat. Chicken Sandwich: Meaty Perfectly Fried Well Seasoned Fresh Fixins Buttered Bun Crispy Outside - Moist Inside 10/10 Onion Rings: The BOMB Crunchy Tender Onion Well Seasoned Great Homemade Ranch Dip Well Seasoned Huge 10/10 Three Buddies was truly an amazing experience. This is my new hidden gem for date night. I will definitely be back again very soon. This place is low key and fitting for a good meal and relaxed environment. The price point of the food at Three Buddies is perfect as the portions are filling and the food is high quality. Good food. Good service. Good prices. It's an all around great place.

The honey garlic and sweet chili sauces really stood out and added a lot to the meal. The fries were the only food item I didn't care for. They come seasoned, which isn't my preference, and like many takeout fries, they didn't hold up very well once they cooled down. Parking can be a challenge in front of the restaurant because of the heavy traffic, but there is plenty of free parking available in the back, which makes things much easier. My biggest issue was the price. For 10 wings, a half chicken, and fries, the total came to about $47. In my opinion, that's a bit expensive for what you get. They also don't offer a military discount, which was disappointing. Would I go back? Maybe. The food was good and the sauces were excellent, but the prices make it hard to justify visiting regularly.

The location is Self-Serve, so you can order at a Kiosk or over the Phone. Once the order is ready, they place it in these ready lockers, similar to what you see at Inspire Brand or food hub pickup spots. You enter a code or click a link and it releases the lock on the pickup to take your order. Very cool, very fun. The location has a few tables to eat at, but I get the feeling the location is not really intended to be an earin space and more of a "Order to go". However, lots of space and you could easily bring a crowd here if that's your thing. The food I ordered was actually a winner in my book. For this order, I ordered the Crawfish Cheesey Pasta or whatever, the second part of my order was their $10 for 10 wing deal. I want to start with the wings. I don't know if you guys have had much luck ordering wings lately but the cost at most locations for seasons wings has been attrocious. $10 for 10 is a phenominal deal in regard to wings at this moment. On top of that, the wings I got were average size, but well over the size of some of these locations selling wings for almost $2 a peice. There is a good bit of options for the wings, I got the plane and lemon peper hot and I was very happy with that decision. The bluecheese was a good pair with this. Awesome job for wings in my opinion. The Crawfish Pasta was pretty great too. A good portion of meat included. Obviously pre-picked crawfish, but I really can't complane since we're in Atlanta and not Louisiana. The pasta was aldenta and not overcooked, huge win on this. That means it wasn't really sitting in place for too long and made fresh. The pepper and onions in mine were nicely sauted and overall, the flavor of the cheese sauce and creol seasoning was good. This place is an incredible value for what you pay. The comments I see that are less than 2-3 stars are silly. Honestly, how have you not eaten wings and gotten a feather or root of one? What's it matter? It's a dead bird, you can only do so much. eat around it. Also, salt is good. :D Have fun Atlanta!

We were also very interested in trying the crab rangoon mozzarella sticks. They are incredibly rich in taste! For my sauce I ordered yum yum dipping sauce, but using both together was a bit too much for me. The order only comes with two pieces, but they are definitely big enough--I could only eat half of one because it is so rich.
