I ordered takeout one evening. The 5 piece chicken with a bubble tea and red bean dessert. The food was ready and accurate when I arrived and the staff welcomed me. The interior was clean, modern, and bright and there were a handful of tables along with the ordering kiosk at the entrance and the counter at the back. All the way home, the delicious odor of the chicken taunted me and when I finally opened the box it tasted equally divine. The outside was wonderfully crisp while the inside was perfectly juicy and savory. I enjoyed the milk bubble tea as well, though it was less remarkable. The dessert was like a cup of silky smooth flan, not very sweet and with no strong flavor, topped with a layer of dark red beans. It was surprisingly good. read more

This Chinese fried chicken spot was a really nice surprise! We ordered 6 items to go: the 5 piece chicken, fried chicken burger, fish burger, takoyaki, brown sugar rice cakes, and red bean milk pudding. Everything was pretty delicious. Chicken was perfectly crispy. I only wished the burgers came with extra toppings like tomato for free. In addition the brown sugar rice cakes are difficult to have as leftovers - they get firm in the fridge - I tried microwaving them for a few seconds and they inflated and got rock hard, so I had to toss them. This place is awesome. I'm not sure why its called Hamburger because I think the official title is 98K Chicken. This is a great place if you're looking for a fast food like, crispy chicken sandwich. We got the couples meal which is honestly incredible value for the amount of food you get (2 chicken sandwiches, chicken nuggets and some wings!) the breading on the chicken at this place is truly incredible and crispy. Chicken was crispy and light, burgers tasted not greasy at all and you could tell the veggies are FRESH. I know I keep using that word but it's the best word to describe this place. It's just slightly lacking some salt but that's what condiments are for. Fries aren't super crispy but I didn't mind that they were still yummy. I love the variety of soda flavors because they are flavors you don't normally get, the watermelon lemonade Sunkist was a perfect complement. These come with lettuce and a white sauce I'm guessing is a flavored Mayo? - popcorn chicken, this is my favorite out of everything I just love Asian style popcorn chicken it's super crispy, fresh, and its thigh meat. These were tasty a little salty they tasted like braised wings - (3) crispy wings, these were delicious and crispy perfection And it comes with (2) canned drinks of your choice. Tried this new spot for the first time on New Year's Eve and at 7pm it was quite busy inside. There were people eating inside as well as a good amount of takeout orders. I waited 15-20min for my food. It's halal certified so that's cool. There's beef bacon instead but pork bacon being offered. I liked the fried spicy wings and the spicy popcorn chicken was just okay. The jelly milk tea was pretty good, ask to adjust the sweetness if you prefer things on the less sugary side. The roasted chicken and chicken wings were pretty good and flavorful as well. The popcorn chicken was okay, mostly breading and not much chicken. It was a little too oily as well. I had a bite of the double cheeseburger, as well - good ingredients, noteworthy that it's halal, but it had a not-unpleasant but distinct taste that I associate with cafeteria burgers. I also had the boba milk tea, which was decent. Overall, I'd put the food around a 3 or 3.5 star level - not having tried the friend chicken, I'll say 3.5 there. A factor that rounds this place up is the clean and well designed interior, along with a seamless service process. I'll note that since my companion and I ordered separately, there was a substantial gap in when we each got our food, but that's more on us than the kitchen. Overall, I'd say a good place to eat if you're in the area, not a destination- but there's a chance the fried chicken is good enough to reach a higher tier. read more

Randomly found this place on my way home and decided to try it out. Best decision I've made. I love fried chicken and have had all the fried chicken chains you can think of. This is up there with my top fried chicken places. The portions are big, very fresh (lettuce was crunchy and the chicken was made to order), well seasoned (option to make it spicy), and the chicken is juicy and tender. The closest comparison would be Popeyes but 10x better with an Asian twist. I love that everything is self serve, you order on the tablet at the front door, grab your drink from the fridge, and utensils are on the counter. Prices are very reasonable considering the quantity and the quality. Decided to check this new place out in Intown plaza (Shallowford and Buford) in Doraville. It seems fairly new as it looks quite clean and not worn down just yet. The food here is pretty decent. We ordered the couple set (2 chicken sandwiches, 2 fried chicken wings, 2 roasted chicken wings, popcorn chicken, and 2 sodas). All this for $22, you get quite a bit of food. Really enjoyed the popcorn chicken, as I like a real crunch when eating popcorn chicken or shrimp. Both sets of wings were tasty. The only exception to an otherwise delightful surprise: the chicken in the one of the chicken sandwiches was really fatty. I don't expect all chicken sandwiches to be white meat, but in some sense, I do expect most of the fat to be taken out before frying. The service here is excellent. The cashier greeted us, gave us a menu, and was attentive when we got up to get a napkin, sauce, or condiments from the large center table. It was a very delicious lunch for less than $10. That's almost impossible to find nowadays, so this place will hold a special spot in my heart. You can tell the couple things they do to control costs but it certainly doesn't take away from it being a great place. The one place they do not cut corners is on the chicken. They use an expensive, dark meat cut of chicken and the breading on that chicken is everything. It's light. It's flaky and it's tasty. The sandwich itself is a good size on a nice soft sesame seed bun and they have some kind of sauce on there that I think is closest to mayonnaise, but it's a bit thinner, a little peppery and more delicious than your traditional mayonnaise. Throw on one piece of iceberg lettuce and you have a fantastic sandwich. They also give you a very generous amount of fries but they're not that great. They obviously came just out of the fryer but it's your very bottom of the line fry with quite a few broken pieces or small pieces. No seasoning and barely a coating in there. They give you a very generous amount more than you can really eat and I think if they lower that portion they can find a much better fry Lastly, the staff is very friendly and is a great looking place on the inside. Everything seems brand new and it's very clean. As soon as someone gets up from a table the staff not only clean the table but the area around the table and was very attentive to ensure the restaurant looked great. They were very friendly as well. The other thing I noticed was that they didn't let you tip even though the POS machine had a spot for it. The lady selected no tip and went on. The food tasted just like it did in South Korea! I'm in love with the crunchiness they've mastered on the fried chicken. The fried chicken sandwich is HUGE, yet juicy and flavorful. The chicken wings are the way TO GO! Super crunchy yet juicy and packed with flavor on the inside. A little spicy as well, but nothing the honey mustard sauce can't balance out. The fried shrimp tastes like your typical frozen fried shrimp you'll find at a hibachi or buffet. Still good though. The fries were pretty good and you get a large portion. They just need a little salt. The service was amazing! You get your food in about 10 minutes and it's not and fresh every time. The music in the place is awesome as well! Very current with all the great music that's out now. This place is better than Popeyes and the only place I go to now for fried chicken. This was a great experience! We got the couples set which includes two chicken sandwiches, two New Orleans Roasted Wings, 2 fried Hot Wings, a bag of popcorn chicken, and 2 sodas. All for $21.98 not including tax - this was an awesome deal because we got a large portion of food for an affordable price. The spicy chicken sandwiches remind me of the KFC Zinger Burger in Pakistan, except spicer and using thigh meat. It was delicious and crispy. The roasted wings also had good flavor as did the fried hot wings, which were more mildly spiced in comparison to the chicken sandwich. The popcorn chicken was perfectly crispy and great to use with their dipping sauces (the honey garlic sauce and spicy sauce are good options). It was a 30-40 minute drive back home and everything was still tasty and warm. I can only imagine how good it is fresh. Service was good and I received the food in 15-20 minutes. The menu has a large variety and everything is halal. Not much room for seating - there are three tables that can sit 4 people each and about 2-3 hightop tables that can sit 2 people each. Next time I went I asked them to make sure the chicken was cooked through. It was still raw on the inside.
