I've never had crispier Korean fried chicken than here!! Portion size is very large so be prepared; got the red buldak and it was stacked with fried chicken, buldak and a fried egg! Will def come back to try their other dishes but can only do one at a time

Kimchi Fried Rice and Red Buldak Fried Chicken

Better than the Korean Fried Chicken that I had in Korea and LA tbh. Just wow. I can see how they earned the title of #1 Fried Chicken in the nation. This food stall is located in this gorgeous shopping center food court that has a big bar in the middle and there was even karaoke going on when I visited with my friend. Firstly, we ordered the Red Buldak Fried chicken. It was made with their signature fried chicken topped with buldak ramen and a sunny side up egg. The chicken itself was so crispy and delicious. The meat was juicy and succulent. They fried it well and I loved the rice flour batter texture. I also especially loved the spicy, creamy, and cheesy buldak ramen topped on the chicken which added so much flavor and depth. Just delicious. Secondly, we ordered the Kimchi Fried Rice and that was great as well! I thought it would be overkill in terms of flavor based on the pictures, but the kimchi rice flavor was good and not too salty, spicy, and sour. The rice was perfectly cooked and fried and I also love the nicely shaped egg on top. It paired well with the fried chicken. I would highly recommend this chain to anyone visiting or in the Atlanta area to try! Petitioning for them to bring a location to LA!

This location is inside a food hall. I went right when they opened at 11 am on a Friday for a to go order. I waited 25 minutes for the food due to them just opening up. I got a half order boneless of both soy garlic and Jeonju. I also got half order of regular k-crispy honey butter. It was very expensive, but the quantity was great. The sauce all comes on the side for Togo orders which I think is a great decision so the sauce doesn't make the chicken soggy. The best one was the spicy jeonju. The soy garlic was spot on. The honey butter just tasted like a sweet mayo, not what I wanted or expected. The Togo boxes were definitely too small even though it was a half order because they were left open with tape across the top. The seating areas was very nice and perfect location.

I am not a huge fan of rice, but the Kimchi Fried Rice was pretty good. I also don't like kimchi, but again, this rice was good, so I imagine if you enjoy this kind of food, you would like Kimchi Red. They give very big portions and are willing to make accommodations. I ordered about 5 minutes after the person I was with and realized that she wanted her egg cooked well, so I asked if they could update her order and they did! When I went to order, I wasn't familiar with any of the food on the menu and the server took time to explain everything and even made recommendations. Once I figured out my order, I requested no egg and they also made that accommodation. The service and food were both great. I would recommend for anyone that likes fried rice:) Just a heads up, this location isn't in its own store, it is within a mini shopping area with multiple food options. I absolutely loved the space. On certain days, they have a DJ and other days they have Karaoke. I stumbled upon this spot and will definitely return!

TLDR: 9/10 very crispy, very juicy, chefs secret and soy garlic are my favorite. If you prefer with no sauce, get the KCrispy. Second time at kimchi red, first at this location and it's still my favorite Korean fried chicken in Atlanta. The batter is super crispy and not too heavy, while the meat inside is very juicy. I prefer drums over flats even though they can be a little more dry, but all of my drums were moist. We shared with as a group of 7 and got 2 whole orders and 3 half orders. We got a whole of the kimchi topped fried chicken, and the soy garlic, along with half orders of snow cheese, chefs secret, and k crispy (original). All the sauced up orders held up well while we were there. The soy garlic was a bit salty at first but only for the first wing My personal favorites were the chef secret, soy garlic, and kimchi fried chicken. The KCrispy was really good too, I just prefer saucy Korean fried chicken. Sadly the snow cheese was the only miss, I thought the flavor was too sweet and a bit like corn(?) and it was the only dry order. Oddly it was also the only one with thighs instead of wings. Located inside of Politan Row, there was ample seating at 430 PM on a Sunday. You bus your own tables and the vibe inside is pretty nice.

It was my first time trying this chicken joint after I had heard great things on the internet! I went for the chicken plate with no sauce. The plate was great, but don't know if it lived up to the hype. It was about $17 with tax and included white rice, glass noodles and 3 chicken wings. The chicken was indeed the showstopper! It was flavorful even without any sauce on top. The glass noodles didn't have the best texture to me and were probably my least favorite part of the dish. The kimchi was just pickled purple cabbage to my impression. Overall this was a good choice for lunch but I'm not sure I would go out of my way to try it again.

Kimchi Red is delicious and lives up to the hype for me personally! The portion size is enormous and be warned, when they say it is spicy, IT IS SPICY! I'd definitely come back if I had more people to eat with me. Recommendation, eat it there, fresh and don't get it to go as I'm unsure if the sauce on the side is the way to go!

Very yummy food. I got the veggie mandu plate and it was delicious. They had lots of vegetarian options. Prices were a little high.

Unfortunately, I experienced food poisoning at Kimchi Red AGAIN, which helped me realize why. Authentic Korean fried chicken traditionally does not use dairy, yet it's present in their recipe. While the flavor was improved compared to my first visit, the chicken was dry and lacking depth. I actually enjoyed the flavor, but it's far from the best in Georgia. If you have a sensitive stomach, dairy allergies, or prefer food that feels more authentic, this may not be the right place for you. Warning: during my visit, a little girl was screaming about a cockroach at this location.

Good not great. We have been going to the original location in Alpharetta so chose this new location inside Politan Row at The Forum. FOOD OPTIONS: the menu options were a bit confusing with the +1/+2 next to the original chicken options. The cashier did help us with this. VALUE: the price for the food is a little on the $$ end (ex: $9 for 1 serving of fries).

Question: "So, is this the best fried chicken you have ever had?" Answer: "I can't think of any that I have had better." I have had this place 3 times and each time they are consistent and remain delicious. I have come with family and friends introducing them to Kimchi Red and they all leave with the same feeling, "the chicken is so juicy and fried to perfection." I have had the Rose Chon, Soy Garlic Pepper, and Red Buldak. All of the dishes are unique and offer something for everyone's tastes. My favorite is the Red Buldak. The creaminess of the ramen, combined with the crispy fried chicken, then topped with the egg is a delightful combination. Don't let the spice steer you away. You can ask them to tame it down to your preferred spice level. One order of the chicken is definitely enough to share between at least two people, three if you are not big eaters. Do not be afraid to get at least two orders so that you can try more than one dish. Leftovers heat up great in the oven or air fryer. They provide plastic gloves for eaters who do not want their hands dirty. Inside the restaurant is small and the place has been full every time I have been. Either get there on off hours or be prepared to wait a bit. They cook the food fresh, so you will wait a bit after you order. However, the staff does a great job pumping out the orders. They are very friendly and provide great recommendations on their favorite dishes. I will keep coming back until I try all of the dishes!

This place is hands down have the best Korean fried chicken period. This is my second Kimchi Red location I've been to. I have to say they are pretty consistent with the John's Creek location. They have so many flavors to choose from. They make everything fresh to order so it takes a while but it's worth it!

Bulgogi plate and Jeon Ju chicken
    Odamys P.

Visited this place and was surprised to find out it was in a food hall! Having visited Korea myself, I am quite picky with Korean food. The jeon ju fried chicken was very delicious, we got it medium spicy and it was the perfect balance for people who enjoy spicy foods but not overbearing. The chicken was hot & crispy and had lots of meat in it which made it feel like we got our money's worth. We also got a bulgogi plate which was disappointing. The meat had little flavor/no madinade and the glass noodles were nothing special. I would recommend skipping this dish off the menu.

Nice art work and fast service!…read more Food: first time checking out this place and it wasn't bad. I don't eat land animals and try to limit soy so I opted for the black bean burger which came highly recommended. The pattie's are nice, with a little spice to it and very moist and as a result, soft. I got a bunch of topping and paired it with the Cajun fries. Overall, I'd probably go back and try the impossible burger and request more sauce or sauce on the side bc there wasn't enough sauce on the burger. I had the secret sauce and I couldn't really taste so can't even describe the flavors. I also added vegan cheese and had I known it wouldn't have been melted on the burger, would have gotten regular cheese. The Cajun fries needed a bit more salt and were hard fried but still not bad. They were piping hot and in my hunger, def burned my tongue but whatever lol They're located on the far left when you first turn in and there's free parking. I just arrived in country and was in the area and starving, so I sought this out. Oh, and they don't take orders over the phone. It's either online or in person. I placed my order in person and they were super quick. Ready in about 10 minutes. I'd give it a shot again. For a double Patty black bean burger and fries and drink (+$4.99) for the combo, I'd probably go back, even though I think $20 for a burger is expensive.

They messed up my order and it was almost inedible…read more This place is definitely built for takeout. There are only two tables and this is more for waiting than eating food. They also have two ordering systems off to the side so you can place your order. I ordered the Freestyle with 3 patties and lemon cajun crinkle fries. Let me start with the good. The fries are really good. The Boss Blend patties are also tasty. I ordered grilled onions, grilled peppers, blue cheese, and bacon. They gave me a mound of blue cheese and some lettuce. Since this place is take out I did not see the mess they gave me until I got home. What a shame because this place really came highly recommended.
