    Kimchi Fried Rice (V)
    Oulimata D.

I am not a huge fan of rice, but the Kimchi Fried Rice was pretty good. I also don't like kimchi, but again, this rice was good, so I imagine if you enjoy this kind of food, you would like Kimchi Red. They give very big portions and are willing to make accommodations. I ordered about 5 minutes after the person I was with and realized that she wanted her egg cooked well, so I asked if they could update her order and they did! When I went to order, I wasn't familiar with any of the food on the menu and the server took time to explain everything and even made recommendations. Once I figured out my order, I requested no egg and they also made that accommodation. The service and food were both great. I would recommend for anyone that likes fried rice:) Just a heads up, this location isn't in its own store, it is within a mini shopping area with multiple food options. I absolutely loved the space. On certain days, they have a DJ and other days they have Karaoke. I stumbled upon this spot and will definitely return!

Kimchi fried chicken (signature) - a bit overpriced but quite good

TLDR: 9/10 very crispy, very juicy, chefs secret and soy garlic are my favorite. If you prefer with no sauce, get the KCrispy. Second time at kimchi red, first at this location and it's still my favorite Korean fried chicken in Atlanta. The batter is super crispy and not too heavy, while the meat inside is very juicy. I prefer drums over flats even though they can be a little more dry, but all of my drums were moist. We shared with as a group of 7 and got 2 whole orders and 3 half orders. We got a whole of the kimchi topped fried chicken, and the soy garlic, along with half orders of snow cheese, chefs secret, and k crispy (original). All the sauced up orders held up well while we were there. The soy garlic was a bit salty at first but only for the first wing My personal favorites were the chef secret, soy garlic, and kimchi fried chicken. The KCrispy was really good too, I just prefer saucy Korean fried chicken. Sadly the snow cheese was the only miss, I thought the flavor was too sweet and a bit like corn(?) and it was the only dry order. Oddly it was also the only one with thighs instead of wings. Located inside of Politan Row, there was ample seating at 430 PM on a Sunday. You bus your own tables and the vibe inside is pretty nice.

It was my first time trying this chicken joint after I had heard great things on the internet! I went for the chicken plate with no sauce. The plate was great, but don't know if it lived up to the hype. It was about $17 with tax and included white rice, glass noodles and 3 chicken wings. The chicken was indeed the showstopper! It was flavorful even without any sauce on top. The glass noodles didn't have the best texture to me and were probably my least favorite part of the dish. The kimchi was just pickled purple cabbage to my impression. Overall this was a good choice for lunch but I'm not sure I would go out of my way to try it again.

Kimchi Red is delicious and lives up to the hype for me personally! The portion size is enormous and be warned, when they say it is spicy, IT IS SPICY! I'd definitely come back if I had more people to eat with me. Recommendation, eat it there, fresh and don't get it to go as I'm unsure if the sauce on the side is the way to go!

Unfortunately, I experienced food poisoning at Kimchi Red AGAIN, which helped me realize why. Authentic Korean fried chicken traditionally does not use dairy, yet it's present in their recipe. While the flavor was improved compared to my first visit, the chicken was dry and lacking depth. I actually enjoyed the flavor, but it's far from the best in Georgia. If you have a sensitive stomach, dairy allergies, or prefer food that feels more authentic, this may not be the right place for you. Warning: during my visit, a little girl was screaming about a cockroach at this location.

Good not great. We have been going to the original location in Alpharetta so chose this new location inside Politan Row at The Forum. FOOD OPTIONS: the menu options were a bit confusing with the +1/+2 next to the original chicken options. The cashier did help us with this. VALUE: the price for the food is a little on the $$ end (ex: $9 for 1 serving of fries).

This place is hands down have the best Korean fried chicken period. This is my second Kimchi Red location I've been to. I have to say they are pretty consistent with the John's Creek location. They have so many flavors to choose from. They make everything fresh to order so it takes a while but it's worth it!

Question: "So, is this the best fried chicken you have ever had?" Answer: "I can't think of any that I have had better." I have had this place 3 times and each time they are consistent and remain delicious. I have come with family and friends introducing them to Kimchi Red and they all leave with the same feeling, "the chicken is so juicy and fried to perfection." I have had the Rose Chon, Soy Garlic Pepper, and Red Buldak. All of the dishes are unique and offer something for everyone's tastes. My favorite is the Red Buldak. The creaminess of the ramen, combined with the crispy fried chicken, then topped with the egg is a delightful combination. Don't let the spice steer you away. You can ask them to tame it down to your preferred spice level. One order of the chicken is definitely enough to share between at least two people, three if you are not big eaters. Do not be afraid to get at least two orders so that you can try more than one dish. Leftovers heat up great in the oven or air fryer. They provide plastic gloves for eaters who do not want their hands dirty. Inside the restaurant is small and the place has been full every time I have been. Either get there on off hours or be prepared to wait a bit. They cook the food fresh, so you will wait a bit after you order. However, the staff does a great job pumping out the orders. They are very friendly and provide great recommendations on their favorite dishes. I will keep coming back until I try all of the dishes!

This place is not bad but a bit overhyped by social media. Got to try the snow cheese, spicy jeonju, kimchi fried chickens, tteokbokki, and a side of rice. This location is located in Politan Row so lots of seating. Staff were nice and food came out in a reasonable time. I enjoyed the snow cheese and spicy jeonju. Crispy chicken and nice and flavorful. Kimchi looks good for the camera but uncrisps the chicken and it gets soggy. The meal was def on the heavy side so I was pretty full after a piece of each and a small tteokbokki. The tteokbokki was pretty good and standard - I appreciated the option of a small size. My husband loves rice and needs it in every meal lol but was very disappointed that his rice was undercooked. Probably won't return but it was fun to try.

We drove almost forty minutes to try Kimchi Red's new location in the Forum's Politan Row Food Hall that we were super excited about. Safe to say that although this location is in a food hall, flavors and quality are exactly the same as the Suwanee location that we love. First of all, the Forum's Politan Row is soooo cute, and there are multiple restaurants with halal options. We came on a Sunday night, and there was a little bit of a line, but one of the staff was able to help us answer questions and put in our order before we got to the front. Super nice ! We got the whole order of Jeonju Chicken with Fries. It definitely took some time to make, but that is consistent with the other location since everything is made fresh to order. The chicken was juicy and crunchy at the same time and I love the Jeonju sauce !! The fries were sooo crispy ! The whole order is meant for 2 people, but we definitely had two pieces left over that we brought home. Excited to come visit again soon!

    Korean BBQ in a bowl

This was our second time at Politan row in the Forum since they've opened & the first time we came Kimchi Red's line was really long so we were definitely looking forward to trying them out this time. One of the workers recommended we try THE BOWL which I don't think would have been our first or second choice if we were ordering on our own. This Korean BBQ in a Bowl is very much worth trying. We choose the fried chicken as our protein and the bowl includes Japchae noodles, stir- fried kimchi, over white steamed rice, drizzled in spicy mayo and their KR gochujang sauce. THE BOWL is very eye catching as well because as soon as we sat down the couple next to use couldn't stop staring until they eventually asked if it was good haha, yes it was

Kimchi Red has expanded out and come to the new Politan Row food hall at The Forum in Peachtree Corners! A beloved classic in Alpharetta/Johns Creek/Suwanee boasting the #1 Fried Chicken in America, the new location also does not disappoint. Menu is slightly different from the main sit down restaurant locations but overall the same sauces, chicken servings, and sizes are available here. Can get your chicken plain fried, or with a variety of different sauces like their recommended Jeonju sauce (mild sweet soy with red pepper oil), soy garlic, Rose Chon (creamy tomato alfredo), gochujang, buldak/cheesy with Buldak, and more. The chicken itself is delicious, moist, flavourful, and with wonderful breading. Some plates and the regular sides are available too, including the fan favourite K-Mega fries. "Half" serving is meant for one but they are very generous and usually ends up being 6 pieces of chicken. "Whole" serving is around 8-10 pieces and you'll leave very satisfied. Staff were in line explaining the menu and helping everyone out which was greatly appreciated to try to decipher the menu. The restaurant is in the corner of the hall so can get a little chaotic to order if busy. As with a food hall like this, it can get quite loud as well. They will give you a buzzer to hold onto to come back and get the food. All food made fresh, which is definitely a bonus! Definitely worth a try especially if you haven't tried it.

    Red Buldak $34.99

We came back to try something with more heat, and the cashier recommended the Red Buldak since it's their most popular dish. The fried chicken was just as good as last time--crispy, tender, and juicy. The buldak ramen was mildly spicy for me, probably because of the cheese, which seemed to tone things down. It started off tasty, but once it cooled, it got a bit too creamy and kind of boring. The fried egg was a little overcooked for me--I'm more into runny yolks. But I've gotta say, I really loved the pickled radishes!

So I found this place less than a mile away. I called them around 1pm and asked for an order for pick up by 8:30pm. We ordered 300 dry lemon pepper wings, 200 mild wings, 150 fried shrimp, a whole pan of fries and a whole pan of rice. We came in and paid after we ordered and everything was ready by the time my boss went back to pick up the food. I just want to say the woman who took the order was very pleasant and my boss was very happy with the service when she went to pick up the place. The facility was very clean and the food was fresh. They even gave us a good discount for such a big order. All the food was well seasoned and the wings were a nice, big and crispy. The shrimp was fried perfectly and didn't have a greasy after taste in fact the tasted buttery and delicious. The rice was fresh and tasty and they even gave us a big tray of celery and all the condiments we could handle. My boss ordered a Turkey burger while she waited for everything to be boxed up which she thought was spot on as well. Sometimes when we put in big orders at other places they give us teeny tiny wings and hardly ever give us free veggies or a discounted rate so I really enjoyed this interaction and if we are ever back in the area we will definitely order again.

You can see the cooks making the food in the back because that part of the kitchen is open. Because of how close to the desk is to the door, you can't help but be greeted by somebody. And they were friendly too even though they were a little bit busy. The food was okay. I ordered the fried rice. I got the house fried rice which has chicken and beef as well as shrimp. It didn't have a lot of protein in it. You have to kind of pick through to see if you could find a piece of beef or some chicken. Other places you get house fried rice or any type of fried rice and they have big chunks, this was not that. Also got a double cheeseburger. I actually called trying to get a bacon cheeseburger but they don't have bacon. Who knew? LOL! But at the same time, I wanted a burger regal list. The Burger flavor was okay. The bun was not as soft as I would have liked it to be though. You know how you'll get food and get a sandwich and the burger bun be too soft and the food meshes with the bun and it's kind of nasty, it wasn't that. It was kind of the opposite. It wasn't the same type of bite pressure if that makes any sense. Maybe it was an off day, I don't know. LOL I probably would go back because of the late night hours and try something else there, They are very convenient but the first time I went I wasn't wild but it wasn't terrible so I would give it another shot.
