Rooms upgraded to no carpet and now the hard floors are not mopped nor swept. At least the carpet was a sound dampener now you hear everything above you in upper rooms. They ran out of towels and we had to wait for towels. The room staff are excellent people and its not their fault. The front desk people are not friendly specially the night staff. One person kept going out to his Chrysler 300 and was doing who knows what. The elevator on bottom floor stinks very bad due to a sewer drain leaking sewer gas into building. Excellent stay! I arrived super early. I explained to the front lady why I was there and why I was so early. She found me a room to go in almost 2 hours early with no problem. She was absolutely the greatest ever! The room was nice and clean. The thermostat was responsive, thank God, as it was a super hot day. I wandered around the hotel, and every area was well-maintained. The pool looked amazing (salt water), but I wasn't allowed to swim the day before surgery. Sigh. This will probably be the go-to hotel in Tulsa. I've stayed at many in the area, but this one definitely exceeded any and all expectations I had. read more

I had a fantastic stay while here on business in Tulsa & nearby Owasso. For starters, the hotel is conveniently located close to the interstate highway, and within a few minutes of downtown Tulsa. The building seemed as if it was newly constructed, in that the appearance that it conveyed within both its exterior (love the green hue at night) seemed to be borderline immaculate. The room? Nearly flawless. You could barely hear a peep from the walls of nearby rooms. Also, the room had all of the expected conveniences of a much larger suite with the addition of a bench seat, secondary chair, and semi-firm king-sized bed. All together, it was just a good room. Breakfast was pretty decent, with pancakes, waffles, bagels, muffins, and a few apples & bananas. I also think yogurt and oatmeal was available, in addition to grits & gravy. Again, not bad. The facilities are perfectly fine. That is all that is acceptable. The service is terrible. We tried to enter at 9:30 p.m. and the front doors were locked. You have to buzz in. And this is not a particularly bad neighborhood from what I can tell. I made a comment about having to be buzzed in, and the service attendant said it's "security. We don't want just anyone being able to come into the hotel." That's odd. I figured they would want business, but what do I know. Next, we check in and it was $50 more than the rate I booked the room at. I was told that we would be refunded that when we check out in the morning. I'm not aware that I agreed to that upon booking. But it's too late to fight about. And heaven help them if that is not refunded. We get to the room and there are four pillows on the king-sized bed. These pillows are about half the size of a normal pillow. My husband went to ask for some extra pillows (3) and she was sitting in the dark in the breakfast area. He asked and was told "No. You can have ONE if I can find one." If it weren't late, we would have just asked for a refund and left. This is ridiculous. Next morning: the morning staff is pleasant and they did automatically credit back the $50. I bumped from a one to a three star rating. They really need to reconsider their nighttime policy and staff, though. read more

We stayed here when we visited Tulsa. The hotel is located near the highway and can be nosy so if that is a problem I would suggest another hotel. However, if your room is in the back side, you won't hear the noise. Anyway, the staff here are friendly and welcoming. The rooms themselves are rather large and the beds are super comfortable. The bathroom was a bit smaller than I would have liked but the water pressure was awesome. The only thing I would complain about is the breakfast. They wasn't a lot of variety and too many in one area which with covid still on going that was a huge turn off (we ended up going somewhere else for breakfast). I would not give them any stars if I could. I booked through a third party and I guess somewhere on there it says no pets. I have an 7 pound Chug that is my ESA she's trained and obedient just not ADA trained yet. The lady at the front desk was totally rude to my mom. We had been on the road several hours and the first thing we all needed was a restroom....the lady gave attitude like she owned the place and because we weren't checked in didn't want us using the facilities. Then she totally violated every ADA guideline by demanding...yes demanding what training my dog had had. They refused us and sent us packing. Yes the manager was sweet and tried to cover up the fact that her front desk staff was super rude all around but we ended up having to get back in the cars and driving another 15 minutes (doesn't seem like much except we had been in them for 8 1/2 hours already ) to find another place...beautiful facilities but that can't be saved by rude staff. read more

Poor customer service. Customers and their needs are an inconvenience. After a drive, I was greeted by Myrna with "name", not a hello, not a welcome. The next words were driver's license and credit card. So do not expect a welcoming greeting. Also do not expect to get extra pillows or a blanket. I got lucky and there was one extra pillow and just my luck a blanket, but it was sure a chore to get it. Towels are limited too, but I do not dare go back down stairs and make her get up from the lounge where she is planted. Marquee indicated hot tub.. ummmm no not working. Why can't the marquee be edited? This is just day one, but I do not have high hopes for the next couple of days. Found a great deal on the room online and gave it a shot as I had never stayed at a Wingate hotel. Hotel was very easy to find and had no problem finding a parking spot. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was big which was nice having kids. The room had two queen beds and a pull out couch with a tv for the kids sleeping on the pull out bed. AC worked great, beds were comfortable. Shower was iffy as the shower head didn't work to well and when trying to fix/change the settings on the shower head a piece came off. Pool and hot tub was indoors a fairly small but we were the only ones there at the time which was nice. Breakfast was good. Would definitely stay again. read more

This by far is one of the best hotel stays we have had in a while! From the entrance of the hotel down to the perfect room. To start off the service provided at this hotel is great. All the front desk receptionists are awesome especially Toni. She was so helpful and cheery every time we saw her. The housekeeping ladies were great! They do an excellent job of taking care of your room and are so nice. Our room was so clean, smelled like clean and spacious. We stayed in a double queen bed room and we had plenty of space. The bathroom was perfect for 4 women that carry tons of makeup and bags. The tub was spotless. Our bed sheets were so clean and perfectly made. The breakfast was the best hotel breakfast I have had. My 3 yr old granddaughter and I stayed here the end of May 2013 for several nights and we had no complaints whatsoever. In fact, we were very excited to stay here once we saw the room. The room felt very upscale compared to other hotels in a similar price range. From the futuristic space-age telephone that hardly looks like a phone to the extra cubby holes for extra towels in the bathroom vanity its just a whole other level above the rest of the crowd. The king size bed was huge, as in high up, a little too high for her to climb into but we managed ok and she could slide out of it on her own (she's a dancer). We also liked the upholstered bench, the recliner and the ottoman. We both loved the indoor salt water pool and hot tub. I will be staying here for all future visits to Tulsa. read more

On our first night, a Friday, at 2:30 a.m. a group of bikers, blasting 3 different songs at max volume, parked at the main entrance of the lobby and rattled the windows of the hotel. We asked the oblivious security guard at the front desk, who was having what must have been a savagely important conversation with two other hotel employees, if he was going to handle the situation and he replied, "What are you talking about." The other hotel guest who had gathered in the lobby collectively said, "Are you kidding?" He reluctantly went to speak to the guys. It turns out there was a Biker Boyz group meeting at the hotel that weekend and the hotel management and security guard were reluctant to intervene on behalf of the other hotel guests. Eventually enough complaining by those of us gathered in the lobby and the incoming calls to the front desk were enough for the security guard to persuade the bikers to lower the volume, not turn it off though. The next morning, around 8 a.m., after having been up half the night, we were woke up by the emergency speaker in our room going off. It was the front desk clerk making an announcement,, "Umm, yeah... Hotel guests if you are in the south parking lot we need you to move your cars to the north parking lot. Yeah, if you're in the south parking lot you need to move your car to the north parking lot. We are about to have motorcycle demonstrations and training in the south parking lot and you need to move your cars now." We were not parked in the south parking lot so we did not have to move our vehicle. My friend travelling with me is a USMC veteran of the first Gulf War. He has a trained service dog who always travels with him. When we went down stairs Saturday morning, the entire area designated as the dog 'exercise area' was blocked off and we were unable to access it. In addition the entire foyer area was blocked with bikes and I was unable to pull up to the front doors to pick up my friend and his service dog. After spending the day in town and growing anxious about going back to the hotel we began to question if we would cut our trip short and check out early. When we arrived back at the hotel the entrance was still blocked off and again I was unable to drop my friend off close to the front doors. I parked as close as I could get and decided I would go in and speak with the desk clerk and voice my complaints. I did not receive her name but she was not very helpful or concerned. I told her of the night before and she said, "Yes we have a biker group staying with us this weekend and its going to be loud. In fact to night they are having a party in our conference area so its probably going to be even louder." I told her that I work for a casino hotel and we have groups stay at our facility too but that we make sure every guests: stay is respected not just a special group. She then said, "They have 80 rooms booked with us and we can't control everyone." I then asked if we could receive a discount rate because of the disturbances to our stay and I was flatly told, "No, if you brought a group in like the one here now you could receive a discount but we need 'people like you' to pay regular rate to balance out." I was shocked and told her we were thinking about checking out early to which she replied, "You probably should since they are having that party tonight, its going to be loud again." She wasn't rude or hateful but she was completely dismissive of the issues that were going on. We checked out and left immediately. There were complaints from many others on Saturday as well. Which included: Multiple people on the 7 floor did not have air conditioning (the entire area was under a heat index advisory from the Nation Weather Service), the 2 a.m. incident was widely overheard , and the parking situation. read more

I had a fantastic stay at Wingate by Wyndham! To start, I was not able to check in until after midnight. I called to confirm my reservation and tell of my concern, and the front desk receptionist was very helpful. This hotel was so easy to get to. I chose this hotel because it was near family, near the highway, and, most importantly, next to a Starbucks. This area is midtown, near residential areas. And if you book through the company, they guarantee lowest price. I had a standard room with a King size bed. The room was surprisingly large. There was so much space that I was able to pop up the ironing board and leave it up for my entire stay without it being in my way. The first thing I did upon arrival was check the sheets for cleanliness. They passed the test. And the bed was comfortable. And the TV was huge for a hotel! Plenty of channels if you're like me and want to wind down before you go to sleep. The bathroom was large and clean. The bathroom counter was large enough for two women to lay out all of our hair gels, face creams, and make ups and still have space for our toothbrushes and lotions. The shower pressure was great for a hotel. The hotel room was so quiet that I only heard footsteps at one time on the floor above but only very briefly. In fact, the hotel was so quiet that I could hear the A/C units turning on outside. There were other people occupying the hotel because I saw them waiting for the elevators; they must've done a great job insulating the walls. Now let's talk about the lobby: first, they are supposed to have a heated pool and jacuzzi, but I live in Florida, and we have that year round. What I want to note is the FREE BREAKFAST! This was probably the best "continental breakfast" I've ever had. Of course they serve everything a normal hotel continental breakfast would; but, in addition, they serve make-your-own mini waffles (I never had to wait in line.), and they also have make-your-own breakfast sandwiches! They have buffet style containers of either eggs with sausage patties or cheesy eggs and bacon, and you can pair them with toast, a bagel, biscuit, or English muffin. I'm sure there are other options too. They also had a refrigerator with yogurt options. They had coffees and juices, cereals, and fruits; the breakfast possibilities seemed endless. I ate so much for breakfast that I was not hungry until dinner. When we arrived late Thursday night/early Friday morning, the receptionist informed us of the Sundry Shop located to the left of the desk. They have chips, cold drinks, and various toiletries for sale. We stocked up on cold waters for $1 each before heading to our room. Each room has a microwave and mini fridge. If I had to list a downside, my room only had one nightstand. Two would've been preferred for our stay. But honestly, it was so much better to stay at this hotel than to stay at my family's house. I felt very comfortable, the room was large so I was able to spread out, and the room felt so clean that I was comfortable enough to walk around barefoot (even though I have special hotel flip-flops for sketchy hotels). I highly recommend for anyone looking for a room in midtown Tulsa. read more

What a fabulous hotel! Priceline customer ratings average 9.3, and I would concur. The hotel us conveniently located but quiet. The hotel is extremely clean, and the staff is friendly and on top of operations. But the room--we had a king suite, which was 2 rooms without a connecting door. Each room had a separate temperature control, a feature I have not seen elsewhere. The mattress was one of the most comfortable hotel mattresses on which I have ever slept. The bathroom had a Jacuzzi tub! The outer room had a second TV, microwave, and refrigerator. The hotel's fitness and swimming pools were in excellent condition. Who could ask for more? read more

We thought we have reached a resolution with the manager of one night refunded only to be called back 3 minutes later by her telling us she no longer wanted to offer the refund. Normally I am a fan of Hampton and this was my first time staying at Wyndham. This hotel is great in almost every way. Cleanliness, decor, location, comfort, breakfast, business center, lobby, outdoors, and amenities were on point. I would especially like to recognize front desk clerk Toni. I observed in several ways how she is very good at her job and I would like to say that the management is very fortunate to have her in the position that she's in. The only issue was that there was one problem housekeeper. She wanted to clean our room before 11 AM each day and if we were not able to be out of the room she refused to come back. This problem was quickly resolved by the front desk clerk, Toni, After the second day. She even reassigned staff to our room. Hopefully the uncooperative housekeeper is able to keep her job. If it were not for this problem with the housekeeper I would've been able to give 5 stars. read more

Everything you would want or be able to expect from a hotel in this fairly low price range. The pantry is always a hit for me if I use it or not. Bed comfortable. Rooms clean. Though the 3rd floor hallway does stink. Hard to say what the smell was, but it was an old sick smell. The smell was present our entire stay. read more

This was probably one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at. Before making our reservation we called the front desk multiple times to make sure both of their pools would be open for the kids to swim in (this was the reason we stayed at this hotel over others that were available. When we got there we went to go swimming and saw that the outside pool was closed. We swam in the shallow inside pool but it quickly got loud and unsatisfactory. The pool towels were small & barely larger than hand towels, the beds were uncomfortable, and the staff was barely any help. My mother hit her head in the bathroom & we called the the front desk asking for some sort of first aid supplies. They gave us a hand towel & said they had no first aid supplies of any sorts, but we could purchase a bandaid. They were polite but not much help. read more

Very upset with the service I received today. I arrived this morning at the wingate hotel to see about renting a room for the evening and possibly doing an early check in because we are without power at our house for the entire day and I have a 6month old and a 2 year old. It is also way below freezing today so going back to our home is not an option. The woman at the front desk did not care and was rude from the very beginning and said I had too many people for a room rental. She was including my husband who will join us later tonight once he is off work. I am in shock that someone would turn a mom and her two babies away. Our kids sleep with us and if anything she could've offered a roll away bed but she didn't once try to help the situation. You would rather send us out into the cold then rent us a hotel room because it's "illegal" to have two babies in a room with their mom and dad. I don't buy it and I will never stay at a wingate again. I am still in shock by the rudeness. read more

Great chain hotel. This hotel is in a decent, safe feeling neighborhood that my wife and I felt safe going for a walk in the evening. It is an easy on and off from the interstate and not too far from the old Route 66 in Tulsa so it's an easy drive through town. The room was clean and in good shape. Even the elevator smelled clean! Breakfast was good in the spacious eating area. I would easily stay here again on trips west. read more
