Very friendly staff that remembers their regulars. I was served a big pice of haddock piping hot with an audible crunch. The creamy tartar sauce was the perfect compliment. Sadly the cold slaw was t as tasty or fresh. The fries definitely made up for it, though. It wouldn't be right if I left an Irish bar without drinking whiskey so I ended my meal with a shot of Jameson's. Good food at affordable prices. PS the bathroom sign made me giggle

They do this Guinness challenge where you pay some money and then you drink 100 beers with no time limit. Then when you're done you get your name on a plaque on the wall. Pretty good way to get some fools to drink nasty beer at $8.50 a pop + $2 tip and keep spending money! That means each plaque costs over $1000!! Probably quadruple or more when you add in food. This is an Irish pub through and through. It's a little deceptive as it has a dive bar old pub feel, but really it's pretty clean and polished and most of the stuff in here is new and well taken care of to create the illusion. Which I'm grateful for. The service here is excellent. Go to Aviator if you want to experience a vast difference in service quality (bad). Staff here is attentive, fast, friendly...everything you'd expect. They're also not understaffed either. The owner is frequently available if you have any concerns or issues. He's there to make sure everything runs smoothly and is done correctly. Even when they are slammed they have extremely good service. They have an extensive Irish menu. The fish and chips are excellent as is the reuben. Bangers and Mash, Shepherds Pie, Gaelic Chicken, Scotch Eggs...everything you'd expect in an Irish restaurant and it all tastes good. A lot of people like coming here for brunch which has a different menu. I think on Monday's they have all you can eat crab legs for $50 per person...you order a cluster one at a time, not a buffet. They frequently have bikes nights and you'll see a ton of bikes during Angier Bike Fest. They charge a 3% service charge on the bill...not sure what that is for... Either way, this is a great restaurant one of the best in Angier and even the greater Fuquay and Lillington area.

Fried pickles and a kids cheese quesadilla. Everything was cold. Didn't eat all day and got this to go and by the time we walked down the road 40 seconds to eat outside of the building, everything was cold and soggy like it was sitting for 15 minutes all packaged up. Very poor service. Poor environment. Surprised at how this place is even open after that showing. Sweet potato fries stiff as a board and unedible. Side of deviled egg was atrocious and had zero flavor. Waitress was nice but only had 3 tables and was nowhere to be found 5-7 minutes at a time. Again, don't come to this place. I'm saving you money.

We got 18 wings which you can choose 3 sauces for- we chose honey bbq, awesome sauce, and gold rush. We also got a plate of fried shrimp that came with two sides and we chose a side caesar and fries. For apps we got the shrimp and grits fritters. The total was around $55 for all of these items which was good. The shrimp and grits fritters were so good. This was a unique menu item that i've never had anywhere before and each bite was creamy and had a piece of shrimp in it. The fried shrimp was crispy and seasoned great. The side caesar doesn't look like much, but I tossed it in the dressing the next day and had it with some chicken and it was great. It was also a big portion for a side. The fries were perfect as well. The wings were cooked great. We loved the gold rush and honey bbq the most. The only thing I wish was that it was a bit more saucier. I would definitely come back again and it was a great late night find. We called the order in and it was ready within 15 minutes and perfectly warm.

They have expanded over the years and always seem to have a place to sit. There is a bar which is always pretty full. Plenty of monitors around to catch your game, even in dining area. Elected to start with Nachos as an app. It was ok but seem to be missing a little more cheese. The food order was Fish & Chips, Beef Sliders, Reuben Sandwich, Pimento Bacon Burger and basket of Sweet Potato Fries. Everything came out at once and was medium hot. Sarrah stayed ontop of drink refills and checked in regularly. I do say wish there was a little more pimento cheese on burger, hardly tasted it. Sorry for no pics, too much talking with family. Will be back in future.

The Key Lime Pie was soft, had bite, and a firm crust. It was delicious. The experience as a whole was okay - probably a winner in its "genre," but I'm not one for the bar scene. You might like it. It's dated and feels 2000's cozy. Service was great both times I came. Nothing to worry about there. They take really good care of you. They have a lot of specials and the menu is quite extensive. It's a bit off the beaten path hidden a few blocks away from 42 where it's not easily seen. It was decently busy so people know it's there, but if it was on 42 like where Cleveland Draft House is, this place would be packed out all the time. Both times I came here I got the wings because I heard the wings are good. They are a solid 8/10. The one and only thing that would push them over the top--smoked wings. Everything else was perfect. They were quite meaty, sauces are delicious, crispy skin...just need a bit of smoke that's all. Good thing they aren't because I'd be in here weekly if they ever did start smoking them. Buddy got the chicken fried steak and thought it was great. I posted some updated menu photos since there were none. I'll be back!

We arrived during a slow time of day--around 3:45 PM for "linner." First issue: a chip in my pint glass cut my lip. They gave me a fresh glass, which I appreciate, but comping something (anything!) for the trouble would have gone a long way. I'm not reviewing the food out of fairness to them , because everything had a (bloody) metallic taste Second issue: the staff "entertainment." Someone went off in the kitchen, yelling loudly enough that it spilled out into the bar area. The unhappy server then proceeded to vent to patrons at the bar. Look, it's Garner--I get it. Having worked in Garner for several years, I know the "Garner Way." Everyone knows everyone, and a strong sense of community exists once you cross the city limits. I love that, and I'm even curious about the history behind the "Cleveland" name in this area (though that's for another review). However, after venting behind the bar to what I assume were regulars, someone finally came out to quiet things down. That same server then made an interesting pivot: since she couldn't vent in the kitchen or at the bar, she pulled out her cell phone right in the middle of the dining area. She stood just far enough away to qualify as outside the bar zone, but close enough for us to hear every detail about her car trouble and personal life. Dinner and a show--Garner style!
