Menu - NOTE, prices are not current. There is nothing in the restaurant posted that shows the ACTUAL current pricing.

Tried out this new wings place on Lakeshore next to Publix tonight as we needed a quick dinner. Place is pretty new so the seatings and furniture reflect that. Looked through the menu and ordered the 12 piece wings combo (honey hot) for $12.99. My total ended up being $16.50+ and all I got was the combo, so obviously I was a little confused. I asked and they said the prices have gone up.....which I am okay with considering the current environment except then they really should either update their menus or have something (anything) that shows the ACTUAL current prices. As it is, you don't know what you are paying until AFTER you order and it's time to pay.... can't say I am crazy about that. Food was ready in about 10 minutes after we ordered, so pretty efficient. Everything was served hot, so that was nice. We liked the honey hot flavor...exactly as it sounds, slightly spicy and slightly sweet. I will note the wings seem tiny to me....probably less than two quarters in length....I took a picture so you can judge for yourself! So keep that in mind when you order if you decide to eat here.

I got the honey hot wings and the Cajun ranch fries. The wings were really good and coated in the honey hot sauce. The fries were okay, they definitely needed a little more ranch and weren't as crispy as I preferred. But, I would go back for the wings.

8 piece medium lemon pepper wings combo!

Tried this place on a whim and was not disappointed! I'm a bit of a wing snob, so to say I'm pleased is an understatement. I got the 8 piece medium lemon pepper wing combo. All flats. I love that they have multiple wing denominations. You can get an even get smaller portion if you just want a snack. The drink choices are crazy and include singing called "suicide", which is a combo of all their juices. I opted out of that since I'm still running from diabetes. But I know some folk who would go crazy over that. The wings are perfectly cooked. They aren't too big and they aren't too small. The look of the sauce startled me at first, but now I'm a fan. Will be back next time I'm in the city for sure! Rusty's the most wings I've eaten in one sitting in a long time. They got even came out from the kitchen and turned the volume up on the tv so I could watch my sports news show while I ate. Great service. Friendly cashiers too. The restaurant was clean and the customers were nice too.

Food is always delicious. The Cajun ranch fries are perfection. The Parmesan garlic wings are our favorite.

Because of the intense Alabama heat, we chose to sit inside, though they have a really nice screened-in patio available. The restaurant is intimate but well laid out, featuring a couple of distinct dining areas and a bar. Since it was our first time, our server, Daniella, recommended the candied bacon bombs to start. They came with a side of cheese curds, and both were absolutely delicious. Even as small as the curds were, they had a perfect cheese pull! For our mains, I ordered the cowboy burger with an added egg and a side of sweet potato fries, while my son chose the shrimp and grits. My burger was incredible, a solid 9.5 out of 10. My son rated his shrimp and grits a 7, though he has a lot of experience with that dish to compare it to. Daniella provided fantastic service, checking in at just the right times without hovering. I later realized I forgot to ask if they do anything special for birthdays, but honestly, my son was probably glad I forgot! Overall, it was a great meal, excellent service, and a very cool environment.

Cheese with turnip greens and smoked sausage. Yum! The candied bacon bombs were delicious too. The appetizers were enough to get me full but to go I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap and my friend ordered the blackened chicken pasta. She said it was tasty but it needed more sauce. Overall this place was a 10/10. Lively with great staff really makes this place a gem. I will definitely be back.

We ordered off of their lunch menu and got the short rib sandwich with brussels and their cobb salad. While I personally can use a bigger portion, I was not starving at the end of the meal lol. I guess it is good policy to leave people wanting more, right? Food was tasty overall and they definitely have some unique items or ingredients in their entrees. You will run probably at least around 30 dollars for two at lunch. We obviously caught them at a busy time even though we were the only two there at the beginning as they were expecting a large party and they were prepping catering food, but our food still came out within a reasonable amount of time. I did notice one of the chef on his phone one minute and then touching cooked food that he's serving the next to package it for catering....without washing his hands. I can't help but find that a bit gross when I consider how very dirty a phone is since that's literally something you touch all day, all the time, regardless of what you're doing. I will leave it at that, ha.

This place is beautiful. It is located in the Stadium Trace shopping center between Alabama Goods and Grimaldi's. When you walk in, it gives a tropical vibe with the decor. You feel the relaxation wash over you. I went to the cashier and she asked for my name. My food was ready right on time, and I grabbed my bottle of Sprite from the front cooler before I headed back to work. I got back to the office and dug into the bowl. The flavor was bright and fresh. The creaminess of the avocado and that extra "crunch" texture helped to tie the flavors tighter together. Everything tasted really good. I will be back to this place soon to try some other bowl combinations. Keep being delicious, Ono Poke!!

This Hoover location is convenient to I-459, but the shopping area it is located in seems to lack sufficient parking spaces for the volume of people who come to all the restaurants at peak hours. But at non-peak times, parking is not an issue. And this Ono Poke has a cute little outdoor seating area that will be nice when the weather cools down some. The interior is very trendy and modern, selfie-friendly. They do have high chairs, and changing tables in both rest rooms. The service is friendly, but sometimes the servers don't always know the details about what they're serving. My go-to is the spicy tuna poke, and I load up my bowl with a ton of toppings and finish it with wasabi aioli. I don't usually add a side dish as the poke bowl is very filling on its own. But this time, I decided to try the gyoza and the fries, since I was with friends who could share with me. The gyoza was pretty good, perfectly fried to a light and crispy texture, with a tasty chicken filling. I don't think the spicy mayo that it is served with actually complements the gyoza well, so I ordered ponzu sauce instead, which went nicely. The fries were well-cooked as well, but the furikake seasoning is just sprinkled on top so doesn't really add too much to the flavor. Now here, the spicy mayo was a good complement, but needed a higher ratio of sriracha sauce to mayo. My friends had never been to Ono Poke before, and they very much enjoyed their bowls. Everyone left full and happy.

Let's address the elephant in the room: this place is healthy.... Which usually yields some preconceived notions about how the food will taste. Honey, you need to leave those at the door cause the food is legit. If you did a blind taste test of the food, guessing the macros, you'd never get it right- It's GOOD. Well seasoned, fresh, no kind of stale old health food flavor. They make their own sauces apparently. And these aren't the half hearted attempts like that one time you did Whole30 and tried to make homemade ketchup. These are professional grade. You're gonna be looking for some extra packets to stash in your purse like your MawMaw used to do. Prices are very reasonable, portion size is great, there's outdoor seating. You're able to customize your order easily (add more protein, make it low carb, etc). There's also meals in their freezers you can take home. And they have regular weekly meal plans where you order your food ahead of time, collect your order, refrigerate, and heat it up in the microwave through the week. On this eat-in occasion, I got the turkey burger with sweet potato fries and my friend got the chicken pesto wrap with pasta. It was hot, the service was excellent, and we didn't feel miserable when we left. We will be back here for sure!

I've never had anything I didn't like there, and I'm not afraid to experiment because you absolutely cannot beat all-you-can eat sushi for $30. My favorite things on the menu are the dragon ball and the yellowtail jalapeno. The coconut shrimp are unique and also delicious. My youngest isn't much of a sushi eater yet, but even he has plenty of options-- he usually goes for hibachi-- the hibachi meat is solid; the rice and noodles, not so much. Their clear soup is the best I've had in the city-- very flavorful and quite a large bowl. The ambiance is nice, but the place is small, so it can get crowded. Unfortunately, our table was very unsteady and wobbled every time we rested an arm or hand on it. We probably should have asked to move, but we did let the staff know before leaving. Thomas was our server. He was very pleasant, though he seemed fairly new. I asked twice for lemon for my water but never received it. He did check on us after our meals arrived to make sure everything tasted good. The food was fresh and delicious! I ordered the Fire Crunch Roll and the Alaska Roll. Both were good, but the Fire Crunch was definitely my favorite. My son ordered the salmon hibachi and received a very generous portion. After we finished eating and requested a small takeout container, we sat talking for several more minutes. When Thomas didn't return with our check, we eventually walked to the counter to pay. He then said he could take care of it at the table, but we were already standing there and ready to leave. It made the ending feel a little awkward, and in the confusion, I accidentally left my container of sushi on the bar. Such a bummer! Overall, we had a good meal, and the food was definitely the highlight. With a little more attention to the service details and that wobbly table, the experience could have been even better.
