Wingstop is my wing place of choice, hands-down. They have a ton of flavors to choose from (Louisiana Rub is AMAZING), and as someone with half their family hailing from Buffalo, NY, I can attest that their Hot Wings are exactly what Hot Wings are supposed to be. Probably a year and a half ago they switched to "jumbo wings" so no more wings with almost nothing at all on them: and huge points to them for not upping their prices when they made the change-over. While my fries are sometimes not as crispy as I'd like, they now offer (and have for awhile) a way to check "extra crispy" when ordering online so you have a better chance at getting nice, crispy fries. The service is usually pretty quick and hassle-free, and the place is usually pretty tidy (though people leave their trash on the table so you have to wait for someone from behind the register to come and bus it if you're eating in). Every once in awhile the cashier forgets I paid online or I have to wait longer than expected for my order, but honestly, for the cost and the fact that the staff is always friendly, I'm way-okay with that. Their ranch is amazing, and the large size is sure to be enough for even us heavy-dunkers, and their online ordering system is very user-friendly. This is a great fast-casual chain and I always recommend it when people want to get wings. read more

Please excuse the length....but I have to give props where it is due! Big Ups to these guys for how they handled the Super Bowl this year. I ordered wings for last year's SB, but like others, found myself waiting over an hour for my order. I didn't mind the wait as you could clearly see they were working hard. I've had the same experience in year's before at other wing joints. This year, I placed my order on Sunday morning expecting the same as last year but I was surprised when I was informed that the timeframe I chose (5:30) wasn't available. The cashier told me that 5:45 was available for my 100 wing order. I asked her if she was sure and she said yes. Obviously she wasn't going to tell me different at that point. I showed up at 5:40 expecting the place to be a mad house... instead, there may have been 10 customers in the lobby with a couple people waiting outside. I went inside, paid for my order and then waited. I noticed there were orders stacked up in the front. I asked one of the cashier's why so many and she said those were orders that had yet to be picked up. Can't say it was like that last year. When they called my name I was shocked as I had just sat down to drink a beer and watch the pregame. I looked at my watch and it was 5:42... there minutes early! :) Figuring something had to be wrong, I checked my order and it checked out. Totally impressed! Let me just say that until this experience, I really liked these wings. The wings are great just the experience was unacceptable. I placed my order via the app, which let me know that the order would be ready in 15 minutes. We arrived 20 minutes later (traffic) and when we arrived we gave our name to the cashier who looked around, then found our ticket and "oops". Really?!?!!? Our order was not even started. There were four employees standing around and just talking. We decided to just cancel the order and leave and go to another restaurant. Ordered 30 wings half parmesan garlic and half lemon pepper...let me say the wings were so flavorful and juicy. We even ordered well done which can easily be messed up. These were perfect! I was excited to go to here for some wings last night as a last minute dinner but left unimpressed! We ordered a 15pc order of bone-in wings, 1/2 old bay and 1/2 garlic Parmesan. Could barely taste the old bay flavor on wings I thought would be larger. Garlic Parmesan were wings tossed in some kind of 'sauce' (sure wasn't garlic b/c I couldn't taste any!) and with a bunch of actual powdered Parmesan cheese dumped on them. Not what I was expecting! I tasted more garlic in the blue cheese dressing (too much garlic, in fact) than I did on the garlic Parmesan wings. That's sad. Our order came with fries, which were tasty and well done. We ordered a side of cheese sauce for the fries but it tasted like the lukewarm nacho cheese you find at a little league baseball game (or any baseball game for that matter). I felt as though I should have had a plate of stale nacho chips to dip in it rather than fries. Service was really great but I found it odd there were no trashcans for customers to use, leaving the folks who worked there to bus the tables in a place where they don't even bring your food out to you. I would expect that from a sit-down restaurant where waiters physically come to your table to serve you but not at a Wing Stop. A trashcan or two would be beneficial. Overall, I'd go back to try another flavor of wing (regular buffalo perhaps) but it's not my first choice of wing places. Update 10/2014 - got carry-out from here after deciding to give them a 2nd chance and I was more impressed this time! Stayed away from the garlic parm wings and went for Old Bay and regular buffalo. So I have been back and forth with trying this place. Last night I finally decided to give it a go. Well I placed an order before I left from work. It said they would be ready by 6:16. Cool. So I left. Got there at exactly 6:16. Walked in and was greeted by the gentleman at the counter. I let him know that I placed an order online and he got my receipt, i signed and told me my wings would be a few more minutes. Probably waited another 5 or 10 minutes, but they let me know that they were just waiting on my fries and then it would be ready. While I waited for my carryout, I noticed its a rather small place. You can see well into the kitchen (which is kinda nice when it comes to looking at cleanliness of an establishment. The place was clean. I saw their sanitizer buckets and they even have a book similar to ones we use at my job for taking temperatures during the shift. Overall the place was very tidy and organized. I did get my food, and they young man read my order to me and off I went. I got home. We got the Korean Q and the Parmesan garlic wings. The Korean Q could stand to be a TAD bit spicier, but they were still good. The parmesan garlic wings could stand to be a little more saucy. Still good. The wings were meaty and worth the price, i believe. My only complaint is, I ordered cheese fries and the only thing I got was fries with seasoning on them. Always good service and good food for me. I would recommend that they find some way to cover the fries (foil would probably work) for takeout orders because fries can get soggy pretty quickly. Sometimes they don't put enough sauce on the wings, so that's a problem. Maybe if there were some way to purchase bottles of their wing sauce at the store it would make people's experiences a bit better. Wow! I'll be honest, I did not have high expectations for his restaurant. Before I decided to eat here, I read the negative reviews. I was a little worried. However, I was craving wings and this happened to be he closest store. I'll start with the service; it was also better than expected. The cashier was kind and helpful, as this was my first time trying Wing Stop. He offered me to sample the different sauce flavors available. The restaurant was very clean, as was the restroom! When I got my food, I was surprised at the size of the wings and they were hot. My fries were also hot! Usually, most fast food places, fries or entrée are hot, usually not both. Then, I tasted the wings.... WOW. Crispy and flavorful! I had mango habanero, Louisiana rub and original hot. All three flavors, including the original hot were very tasty. Usually, at least for me, I find wing sauce quite salty (wings to go, Glen Burnie Wings, Buffalo Wild Wings-which I'd like to make known I absolutely despise that restaurant, but I'll leave that to another review). Here, is just the right amount of flavor and spice, without tasting too salty! I have to say, I am very impressed with Wing Stop. I will definitely be returning. This WingStop is such a perfect place to order delicious wings! I am a student from the University of Maryland, and we held an event that students formed a team of five and whoever eats the most wings would win the competition. That being said, I ordered 2,500 wings from the WingStop at this location at the 6710A Ritchie Hwy. Every single wing came in as a hot, warm, delicious, and perfect condition that I could easily tell the event participants enjoyed so much during the competition. The owner, Ms. Cheryl and the the manager, Ricky were one of the nicest people I've ever met because they were friendly, professional, responsible, and understanding. Well, I was REALLY in the mood for some good wings. I stopped by the UPS Drop off store several times this week and kept eyeballin the wing place. Got home excited and ready.. Tried the boneless lemon pepper sampler....hard as a rock...Not Good. Dogs like them. This is my favorite wing place! The food is always hot and ready when I come to pick it up. I usually call in a complicated order and there is never an issue on the phone or when I pick up my food. I am extremely confused with the prior ratings about the staff! The evening employees are extremely polite and always greet me with a smile. They are personable on the phone and kind when I pick up my food. I come here all the time and not once have I felt that they were too busy, unprofessional, or rude. I was SHOCKED when I read that! I hardly ever leave negative reviews. In fact I've never reviewed on yelp before, because I generally just go back to places I like and avoid places I don't. But tonight at this location was so bad I actually feel the need to post about it. I placed a large order for several people around 4pm, with a pickup time of 5:45. I walked into the store at 5:40ish and gave my name. The young lady behind the counter gave me the wrong total, then found my correct order which I paid for. She handed me the wrong number of soda cups at first but that's not a big deal, I asked for another one and went and got my drinks while I waited. I asked if there were drink holders and she told me she had none up front but would check. So far, nothing to get worked up about. I come back from filling my drinks and the girl points to a bag that was sitting on the counter when I walked in. She tells me this is my order but the kitchen made it "kind of early" so my fries are cold and they're going to fix them. I say that's fine and they take the fries out. I then ask, "how early did they make the order?" The girl checks the receipt and says "um, like an hour ago?" Okay, so. An hour is a long time for food to just sit. I ask if the chicken is also cold. She says she doesn't know. I said well, if it's cold I'd like it redone. She replies, "well we can't reheat the chicken, just the fries." I was honestly taken aback. I said, "so you want me to take it home a reheat it???" Probably in a snippier tone than I meant but seriously. I wasn't asking them to reheat it, I frankly expected it to be remade. She goes and gets someone else, I guess a manager, who says, "I can't touch your food to tell you if it's cold so if you want, you can check." So while this has happened several other people have picked up their freshly cooked food and now I'm opening my carry out containers to touch every item. They're all basically warm. Not hot at all. But at this point I'm irritated and I also realize they just told me they are "reheating" the fries, not making new ones. I made it pretty clear I was unhappy. I asked if there were drink holders since none ever came and the younger girl never went to the back to check. The manager goes back and I stand and wait with my half reheated food and melting ice in my drinks and she comes back and just says "there aren't any." Nothing else. At no point did anyone apologize for the situation. Not a single part of it. And now she's literally not even looking at me, nothing. I just left. It kind of amazes me that I paid actual money for hour-old food. I probably should have asked that everything be remade, but at this point it was almost 6 and I had people waiting to eat, and I was extremely annoyed so I didn't want to stick around. Got home, half the order was lukewarm and the fries were hot but clearly just microwaved or something and we're completely limp and squishy. Really gross. This is not the first negative experience with this place. We have ordered from there a couple times before and have had to wait for food for half an hour when we ordered before we even left the house, had items missing from the order, the wrong sauces, things like that. After this, I'm probably never going to order again. The employees clearly need training, in their jobs as well as in the customer service aspect. read more
