Super Bowl Sunday! Ordered ahead two days in advance, knowing that this was gonna be a busy day on the online webpage stated we could pay cash or card. We opted for cash. Come Super Bowl Sunday today. They called us and told us because we didn't pay card. We're not a priority pick up and that we would have to come and wait in the back of the line as if we never ordered . So my husband decided to call them back and just give them a card and be done with it then the lady tells us we can't take card payments over the phone. You'll still need to come in. I understand how busy today can be for a restaurant with a sick child. I also specifically requested the wings be fried a bit longer for extra crispiness, yet I was served 15 soggy wings. When I brought these issues to the attention of the two young employees at the register, they rolled their eyes as if I were inconveniencing them. I do love some Wingstop crispy wings.. but they're not staffed with rocket scientists. There's currently a special.. 15 pc wings (3 flavors), fries, 2 sauces and 2 drinks for $17.99. Cashier says the whole wings in the special are frozen solid and it will take an hour to get an order. I suggested they could give us just flats which would only 1/3 of the wing that's in the special and we would be happy to call it even, but he can't do that because the whole wings are what's on the special. Are we not processing the substitution I suggested is for less than, but I'll accept it? Instead he rings up the non-special 15 pc order for $21.99 that only allows 2 flavors and we get up-charged for requesting the flats. Really, dude? I explained the logic a couple of times but he was completely baffled. Apparently this location doesn't want to sell the special. Every person in line after us asked for it and were told it would be an hour. Could you maybe thaw some since you're open until midnight? He did make an offer to throw in some celery sticks for our trouble.. but when our order was ready the young lady who handed hubby the tray said "fries or celery sticks, you don't get both". The drink machine is awesome! I'll give props for that. Diet fruit punch? Yes, please! I gave an extra star for that and in anticipation of what are usually tasty wings. The chicken at this location is tiny, either over or undercooked, and had no flavor at ALL! Soo disappointing. No, he didn't look at it and even if he did, they had it turned around to hide the freezer burns. We do a pick up when our child wants wings, I get the 6 piece. I've never checked in at any of their locations I didn't pay attention to the food, cause I've never had an issue before this. 1. I called the location and asked if it's fresh or frozen. The answer was "its fresh". Don't lie, I have pics to prove otherwise. 2. This place is not even close to our home. Hubby took it back. They were making another order to go for me. He canceled it at the location. 3. Even the new batch had freezer burns. Canceled! 4. Ever eat freezer burn chicken before? No, it's like hard jerky. They should have thrown it out or given it to a food kitchen..yeah, nope. Just throw it out. One good thing for the 1 star...The fresh Celery n Carrots! We tried a few of their flavors (original hot (4/5), spicy korean Q (5/5), garlic parmesan (3/5), mild (5/5), and hawaiian (3/5). We also ordered fries with light seasoning (I think light seasoning was good, otherwise it was too salty). Their carrots are really good and fresh and are delicious dipped in ranch. I made the mistake of pre paying for 100 wings for Super Bowl Sunday. I figured it would be smart to order in advance knowing they may be busy that day. It didn't matter. I might as well of ordered when i got there. The line was out the door. Customers were getting rude and pushing. I fight through the crowd to pick up my wings and they cant find my order. Then they ask me to wait a second while they find. Try to give my order to someone else. It actually took me and a few customers to figure out who's order belong to who. I usually have a good experience when I go to this Wingstop, that's why I drive over 15 minutes to go there. However, last night I ordered a 30 piece family meal. I ordered online so I thought the time given was fair, but to my surprise the food was done 10 minutes after. That wasn't the bad part; my wings were cooked so crispy to the point that they were burnt and I saw them bring out fries that looked super soft. I thought to myself, "no biggie" they'll get crispy in the oil, but they were soggy. We threw our food in the trash, $46 gone down the garage. Nope!! 90 minute wait for a 10 piece and fries. At 90 minutes could have gone to BUFFALO WILD WINGS and sat in and ate. IF I would have had the time to spend 90 minutes. Recommended IF you have LOTS & KIDS of time to waste waiting or if you don't mind have "Grubhub" bring your food. Which will probably be 90-180 minutes (1.5 - 3 hours) later then go for it.
