Unfortunately, now that she moved to Walnut Creek, it's a bit too far for me to see her :( However this review is for her incredible work on my anxious doodle cashew. She's so patient and caring. On top of that, cashew comes out of the salon looking fresh every time! The first time I took cashew to see Emily for her first ever grooming session, cashew was timid and skittish. By the time I picked her up, she was giving Emily kisses! Truly a testament to Emily's care and her ability to make these anxious pups feel comfortable. I cannot recommend Emily and her grooming salon enough. I have an anxious frenchie and Emily handled her with care. I love the open concept of the place and vibe is IMMACULATE. Birdie's nails were perfect and it was a comfort for me to know she was well cared for, especially because she gets very anxious for nail trims. Wonderful experience at the salon! I brought my husband's dog in to be groomed, and what a transformation, Miley aged backwards. I had not realized how critical seeing a professional groomer was for some dogs, but the results were so impressive that Miley already has her next appointment booked. I felt very comfortable dropping Miley off, as the interior was clean and you could see how the dogs were being handled. I also appreciate Emily's professionalism when she first met Miley, because I now realize how overdue Miley was for a trim, and Emily was very kind and professional when describing how she would care for her. Emily is the best!! I found her when she was still in SF and followed her to Walnut Creek (luckily the drive is much shorter now). She's so sweet and kind to me and my dogs, Honey and Boba. You can just feel the love oozing off her! You will not go wrong selecting Emily. Shes also been very cautious since this mystery illness came about and notified us that she's sanitizing everything in her salon before and after each dog. I took my dog Skyler to see Emily for a walk in nail trimming. It was a busy Saturday morning for her but she was able to squeeze me in. I have tried to trim my dog's nails at home in the past but I am always worried about cutting them too short and hurting my baby girl. Emily was very nice and let me stay with Skyler while she got her nails trimmed which helped with her anxiety. She even gave me a handful of treats to keep her calm. Skyler is very picky when it comes to treats but she gladly gobbled them up. I am planning on bringing her back soon for a bath. We have tried multiple dog salons in San Francisco and the East Bay and Emily is the ONLY person that we trust with our two dogs. One of our dogs has separation anxiety and the other has grooming anxiety (great! lol) and she is so patient with both. Plus, she knows how to groom doodles! Their faces always turn out perfect. We tried 5 salons in SF before we found Em at her old spot and went to her for 2+ years, and when we moved to Orinda in July we were bereft without a groomer out here. We went through 2 different groomers in the East Bay who left our dogs with rashes and extreme anxiety. I can't tell you how relieved we were that Em moved her salon to Walnut Creek - just 10 minutes from us! Our dogs are always happy to see her, and always come home looking (and smelling) perfect. Emily is a true artist in the dog grooming world. She does such an amazing job grooming my Georgia ( 85 pound goldendoodle ) the thing that sets her apart from other local dog groomers that I've tried is her passion for creativity and love and care she gives each dog that comes into the salon. I don't enjoy my dog being in a crate for hours at a time waiting to be groomed and wink dog salon allows the option for a stress free experience allowing Georgia to be in an larger open gated area instead of the full crate. If there are no other dogs in the salon I noticed when picking up Georgia is roaming the salon with Emily or sleeping by her side until I come get her. Gives me peace of mind! She also does amazing dye jobs! She did a rainbow tail and leg for pride on Georgie and it was amazing. Stayed on for about 6 months which was awesome. From start to finish such a great experience. Whether you want a standard groom or something fun and special this is the place to go to! Love love love! This is exactly what downtown Walnut Creek needed:) read more
