Absolutely Horrible Experience - Zero Stars!! I took my 6lb Yorkie to Posh Pup Grooming and paid $180 for what was supposed to be a professional grooming with Vivian. I dropped my dog off under the impression that Vivian would be doing the grooming, but when I picked her up, I was shocked to find that someone else had actually cut her hair -- and completely ruined it! The haircut was uneven, choppy, and nothing close to what I asked for. My poor dog looked like a mess. I contacted Vivian (the owner) right away and asked if she could at least try to fix some of the damage, and she flat-out refused. No apology, no accountability -- just a complete lack of professionalism. If I hadn't paid in cash, I would've canceled the payment without hesitation. For $180, this was an absolute ripoff. I will never be going back, and I strongly advise others to stay away. If you care about your pet, do not take them to Posh Pup Grooming. read more

Everyone has a different experience and opinion especially when it comes to getting a service done wether if it's done on you or your fur baby. So you really got to try it out for yourself and decide if you like it or not. With that being said, I made an appt through their website after desperately needing of a new groomer for my dog, Peaches. I'm very satisfied with Vivian and her grooming salon. First, I do want to disclaim that my dog was very matted, very "dirty" and she's a elderly dog. So part of me was scared to take her to a grooming salon. But with a lot of care by Vivian and her teams. Peaches seems very happy and not as stressed as she used to be by previous groomers. What I really love about experience with Vivian were she's very detailed and explains the knowledge in what's good for my dog, what I should do, a lot of advices. She's not pushy either. And usually my dogs "cries" a lot when I leave her but as soon as she got inside. She was roaming around with other fur babies. Checking the place out...Which is rare but it made me feel comfortable. So I'm glad I stopped by. As for the price, it was pricey (it's because peaches was matted)... I hope next time, it's less (LOL)! I wish I took a picture of before but here's the after photos! I have a 115 pound older male Bernese Mountain Dog who can be difficult when being groomed. He is also a little nervous in new situations. I was a little nervous myself about dropping him off, but Vivian and her staff made me & my dog feel comfortable and welcome. When I came back to pick up my dog, he didn't see me at first thus I was able to watch him walking around with the other dogs (it's open). He looked very relaxed and happy. Vivian is amazing! This was our first time after switching out groomer due to poor treatment and red flags within the establishment . We felt like our furbaby was safe and we trusted Vivian and her team with the care of my baby during the time she was in her care. Took my dog here once. Grooming service was ok, but the owner kept trying to upsell me regular maintenance services and subscriptions. I just wanted to drop my dog off and be in and out. Reason for the 1 star review is that my dog got kennel cough a few days after going here for grooming. He's vaccinated, but still got it. The salon was dirty and there was no cleaning or sanitation of the station or grooming tools between dogs from what I could tell. read more

It was my pup Momo's first haircut ever and I was a little hesitant to take her (at first) but Posh Pup Grooming is amazing ! It was exactly the length we wanted and she did a good job trimming the hair around his eyes. She was accommodating and clearly communicated drop off and pick up times. Vivian- You have said two different things which is suspicious: 1. That you don't know if you need to shave a dog down until after the bath. 2. You usually shave a dog before the bath because you can't clean matted hair. None of what you're saying makes any sense. My dog, with his "7/8 cut" was neither held all of the time in 29 days, nor given a bath or allowed to get wet. You didn't suggest four weeks as a remedial measure. You made no suggestion at all. We didn't make an appointment after his last grooming until two weeks later when I called because I felt it was time to have him groomed again. The bottom line, even if all you say is true, is you failed. You failed to properly groom my dog. You failed to notify me until after your butchering. You failed in your explanation of how this all happened. You ran out of time to properly groom my dog. Given the other negative reviews you have, which are all consistent with my experience, I'm surprised at your 4-star rating. It's deceiving. read more

All of the dogs there were completely shaved. For this, she charges more than double the going rate and the dogs looked horrible! Also, the quote she provided when I got there was not the same as the one she gave me over the phone so I took my dog home, bathed & brushed him myself, scissors cut him, and removed his three matts. He looks super cute and I saved $160. Don't waste your time with this groomer. She's not good. Not that it matters, as I will never go back there, but my dog was not badly matted, just dirty. Vivian, you even commented on his beautiful fur. I was able to easily remove his matts and clean him. Happily, my wonderful groomer is open again so I can get him back on his regular schedule. All of the dogs in your shop were completely shaved. You laughed, saying you were giving all the dogs, "summer cuts". Not a good look. Talented groomers would do better. read more

Vivian greeted us with a smile and there was no doubt in my mind that my fur baby was in good hands. With the past groomer, I was dog shamed for having a hyper, nervous puppy and since I am new to small dogs, I was worried all groomers might be like this? Wow, was I wrong! I will not be sending my mini labradoodle here anymore. When I arrived at 11:15am for an 11:30 appointment she said that he will be done within 3-4 hours. I get it, she has other appointments ahead of my dog. But when I reached out to her at 3:25pm, she said she was working on 3 large dogs ahead of him and she just started his grooming. It's been 4 hours by then but I patiently said okay. I called her by 4:15pm and she said she needed an extra 45 mins! What is the point of booking an appointment if you can't honor the time you allotted at the time I dropped off my dog? She said she understands that I was upset but she insisted that she works on clients the time they walk through her door? Her appointment system does not make sense. She negated the 3-4 hours timeframe she gave me and that it normally takes her 6 hours to finish a grooming due to other commitments. If that's the case, she could have at least communicated via text that my pup will not be ready at the time she originally provided. Not worth the headache. Follow up to Vivian's comment below, yes you were very reasonable but could have communicated after 4 hours have passed that you will not be done with my puppy on the time frame you provided. He hasn't been there in 6 weeks, but yet you only tended to his grooming in 2 hours, still you held him in your shop for 5.5 hours. You ought to manage your appointment system better. read more

My dog has very lightweight fluffy fur that grows so fast and she was long overdue for a full service grooming. Vivian had her out in just a little over an hour looking so nice and ready for the holidays! She responds quickly and all of the grooming information is up on her website. I wanted to give a positive review, but cannot, as my Maltipoo was nearly shaved. Before our second shelter in place, she was groomed at the considerably less expensive PetSmart at Ygnacio Valley road. The staff at Petsmart had no issues handling her and never resorted to nearly shaving my dog. We comb her on a daily basis, so I was very surprised to see her shorn. With a base price of $110 for a nine pound dog, I expected better. I have a $20 tip, even though I was not happy with the grooming. Will wait longer for mobile grooming services until the shelter in place order is lifted. read more
