I'm not one to leave reviews on Yelp! or other websites, but I want to let everyone know about my experience BEFORE getting sucked into this salon. (I don't wear ANY makeup.) I moved to Nashville about a year ago, and had been getting lashes done for a year before that (2 years total). I really wanted this place to work and be amazing. I went to 4 different salons before finding Wink and thought this would be the place for me. I first saw Jordan, and was able to easily get an appointment. I talked to her about how my previous technician was awful and damaged my natural lashes- she told me how to treat the damage and help restore them. Nobody went over what type of lashes I needed, what size or shape they were using or what had been on my lashes before. They looked AMAZING for the first week.. then the troubles started. The lashes started pinching and falling out more quickly than I had EVER seen. I go back for a fill, and they up-charge me without telling me. Apparently. I had lost too many lashes to do a regular fill, so they extended my appointment for an increased price. I go back two weeks later with noticable gaps on both lash-lines and very few lashes remaining. I go like this for 2 more sessions, then the REAL TROUBLE STARTS. I double checked all of my products to be certain none had oils of any sort, or any other chemicals I saw online and made sure I was following all protocol. Nothing helped. Again, I was trying to make this work. (Not to mention the terrible and unprofessional workplace- the two women in the room would complain about their dates, sex life, and other clients- in front of a client!!) I tried to book with Wink and there was an error on their website. I texted Jordan (the owner) and got no response. I texted another tech I had seen and they said they would look into the issue. I try 6 more times over the next few days to make an appointment, but their website was still having issues. It turns out that they BLOCKED ME from making any further appointments. I never defaulted on a payment, never complained about them up-charging me, and ALWAYS tipped well (25% or more). I don't know what their problem is, but I sincerely hope they figure out their customer service, quality, and professionalism issues before it loses them any more (well-paying) clients! I still can't believe they BLOCKED a paying customer! I've seen comments like this on other reviews and thought they were unwarranted or fake.. but here I am writing this! I originally was giving this place 4 stars bc they were very easy to get an appointment and the lashes looks great for about a week. Then it all went downhill. I have been getting lashes for close to 10 years. Had a terrible or experience with a place in green hills and was going here for a full set. They looks great but as they started to grow out I noticed that several of my lashes were glued to one of the extensions which caused a huge issue with brushing them and having them grow. I called and was told to schedule a fill and somebody else can correct them and fill. I paid for a fill but the girl put 17's on my lashes as fills without even asking. I have never had anything longer than 15's. 17's were too long with fragile lashes. I expressed my concern and she said she used the thinner ones so they are lighter and will be fine. Well, they lasted for 3 days and all shed off. It was terrible and a total waste of money. I questioned the process and they said they tried to help but they are all independent and can't help what another person does. Btw- they were all wink employees. Don't waste your time or money. I now know why they are so easy to get an appointment. There are too many lash places in Town that actually care about their clients. read more

Came here because before my vacation back home, I got my lashed done and the person who did my lashed messed them up so bad that when I came here on my vacation, I had to find someone to remove them. I forgot the name of the person who did my lashed but she was so kind and understanding of my situation. She was able to remove the horrible lash job that I had gotten done from someone else. Next time I come and visit the state and I don't have my lashed done, I'll be sure to stop by and make an appointment to get them done here! Tl;dr - I was disappointed with how my extensions turned out, but even more disappointed by the lack of effort made to fix things once they knew I was a dissatisfied customer. I have been interested in lash extensions for quite a while, and when I was invited to be in my brother's wedding, I decided it was the perfect opportunity to give them a try. I did a lot of research on area salons and chose Wink based on their excellent Yelp reviews, as well as a recommendation from a friend of a friend. My initial impression was positive - the salon was clean and the décor was cute. The stylist asked me what kind of lashes I wanted, and when I mentioned that I was going to be in a wedding, she said that she would add a few volume lashes in with a full set of classic lashes. The last thing I said before she got started was that I wanted my lashes to look "realistic but awesome." When I was finally able to open my eyes and see the finished product, I was instantly concerned. The extensions were extremely obvious. They reminded me of those old-fashioned dolls whose eyes blink - a uniform fringe without any of the fluttery texture found in nature. I was hopeful that they just needed a little time to "relax," but unfortunately there was no change when I woke up the next morning. I quickly got a couple of second opinions from family and friends, who all agreed that something needed to be done to fix them. I called the salon and asked to speak with the owner, hoping that there was something that could be done to achieve a more realistic look - and if not, I was willing to get the extensions removed. The owner told me that her schedule was fully booked and passed me to the stylist who initially applied the extensions. She said she would need to check her schedule. I reminded her that I would be heading out of town later in the week for the wedding, and she promised to text me (she never did). Neither she nor the salon owner made any attempt to see if another stylist might be able to accommodate me. read more

I don't usually take the time to write reviews, but if someone would have told me this before I booked my appointment, it would have been extremely helpful. So, most people who get eyelash extensions know your paying for the service of getting individual lashes put on your real lashes, aka an extension. Volume lashes being when the lash artist is able to put more than one eyelash extension on each individual real lash; harder and more time consuming, resulting in being more expensive. fair enough. I made an appointment for a volume lash full set. so what they have here is already prepared volume lash clusters. ok. in my 5 years of getting volume eyelash extensions, I've never seen them, but hey, maybe... ...no. basically they glue each volume cluster onto several of your real lashes, making the result more of a cheap cluster set rather than a more expensive volume eyelash extension set. this defeats the purpose. it's not healthy for your real lashes and they look messed up and grown out much quicker. not sure how the quality of their work is for regular eyelash extensions, but take my word for it, don't pay more for lazier, less healthy, less realistic looking "volume lashes" at this place. I should have stopped mid procedure after she told me she had never taken a volume lash class after I asked...umm. not cool. I wasted a lot of time and money. and now I'm stuck looking at a set of disappointing lashes. read more

I originally went here to get extensions before my wedding. I am now hooked. It's amazing to feel put together without makeup on, and these lashes do that for me. Jordan is awesome, super easy to talk to, and great at what she does. I seriously have gotten stopped at the coffee shop and grocery store by strangers to compliment my lashes. They look super long and feminine without looking fake. For people like myself that cringe at the thought of using an eyelash curler, these lashes are life changing. I have a friend that has the most gorgeous lashes and she referred me to Wink Nashville. While I didn't have an appointment with the girl she usually sees, I went to Ashley M. for a super early appointment before work one day. I wasn't so sure about that early of an appointment, but I just had to lay there and relax so the hard part was not my responsibility. :) It's now almost 3 weeks later and my lashes still look pretty darn good. I go for my first fill in two days and hope to have the same great experience. For someone that has very thin and very short eyelashes that used to fall out due to eye allergies and sensitivities, I am thrilled with the application experience, durability and longevity of the lashes to "stay put" and create a natural awake look that allows me to wear less makeup daily. I went yesterday for my first fill in. They were supposed to last 3 weeks. It's totally my fault I feel I needed a fill in after 2. It was my first time ever having lashes. I would blink constantly, brush them, obsess over them being crooked. So I made some fall out. My appointment yesterday was with Teryn. She is wonderful!!! I loved how she didn't just work on one eye at a time. She would put a lash on one eye and then make sure the other was even and equal. She really has a great touch, and it wasn't uncomfortable at all. When she was finished, she checked her work with me sitting up, saw a piece she wasn't happy with, and fixed it immediately. I am so happy with my lashes and Teryn as my stylist!!! I made my next appointment for 3 weeks. This time coming home I don't notice I have them on so I'm not constantly touching them. Better still, my husband LOVES them. I will continue going to Wink in Nashville. The fill in costs $75. My one issue is the web site booking. We talked about this yesterday while I was there. I have been unable to book online. If you find this is the case, don't give up and go elsewhere. Call them to make a appointment. They are worth it. They won't answer if they are with a client. UPDATE - I posted this review before all of the lash technicians quit...... I absolutely would NOT recommend going here after they had to hire all new technicians, I can say from experience the work is very shoddy. Tl;dr: go here if you want perfect, long, voluminous lashes at the best prices. Wow, this place is just what I needed to find in Nashville. They're one of I think 3 places in all of Nashville that do volume lashes, & Danielle does a perfect job at that! I have been searching for around a year for a place that I really like in nashville, finally prioritizing quality of lash work over anything else. The lash technicians have a tendency to talk about their personal lives a lot but the phenomenal work (I'm talking perfectionist level) & unbearable prices completely makes up for it, & I don't mind at all. I've been to around a dozen lash technicians & she is right up there with my hometown favorite, which I thought was impossible to match. On top of that, I needed an emergency touch up between appointments, & she got me in (even though it was the week before thanksgiving!), works on my lashes for 35 straight minutes, then says that it was complimentary because it was just a touch up. I really wanted to love this place. My first red flag should've been when I came in to have them done the first time. I wasn't asked about what kind of lashes I wanted or presented with any options. Of course, I read all the information about lashes on Wink's website, but never having extensions before, I feel I should've been informed about lash lengths, lash types, etc. a little more before I let someone start gluing lashes on. The actual process was fine (although the two technicians in the room complained about wanting to go home and seemed to have very negative attitudes about what they did). But afterward my lashes looked good for about two weeks. I will say, when I got home, I had to call back because I realized that some how one of the lashes on the end of my eye had been glued to my lower lash line. But the receptionist, Caitlin, was very helpful and I was able to remove it. I went back and got a touch up and was charge only $40 - and this point, I think it's great. My lashes look awesome for a little while. But then the trouble starts. My lashes start pinching me during the day and I can't even get a brush through them. I look closer in the mirror and see that several of my eyelash extensions have two of my real lashes in them. It sucks and it hurts. But I deal with it and just figure these things happen-like I said, I was really trying to be an optimist here. Then the next day I lost a CLUMP of lashes 4 lash extensions literally glued together. I called back to explain the problem and schedule a visit with a different girl. She was super sweet and tried to fix my lashes. After that visit, they looked good for another couple days but then went back to pinching and feeling not quite right. They also didn't even look that great anymore. I'm in middle of using olive oil to dissolve the glue to get these lashes off (which is what Caitlin advised me to do). All in all, I'm not impressed and sorry that I wasted my money. I had pretty long natural lashes before this, so I hope I still have them after these lashes come off. Would not recommend this to a friend. EDIT: As my lash extensions continue to fall out, the extensions are attached to TWO of my natural lashes at a time. DO NOT GO HERE. They literally treat you like garbage. 0 customer service. I have been going to them every 2 weeks for 5 months, I've never once missed an appointment. The day before my appointment I got in a car accident and was in the hospital. I called them to tell them (20 hours in advance) that I couldn't make it because I was in the hospital and That i booked an appointment for the day after instead. They did not respond for over 12 hours and when they did they charged my card for the appointment at the same time!! On top of that the owner REFUSES to call me back about charging me. I used to get my lashes done in NYC when I lived there full-time, and when I realized I would need something more local I did my research. I am an extremely loyal person...in fact I still use my NYC hairstylist and will fly up there if I have to (although I haven't missed many appointments because I still live PT there and plan around it). Since we met Jordan Smith has been nothing but beyond sweet, nice, accommodating, and above all of that a master with the lashes. I eased into the transition of moving by having her do them once while I was visiting, just to see if I would like what she did. Not only did I like it, I LOVED IT. Not only are my lashes more fuller than they were in New York, but I get compliments every single day on how natural they look. In my opinion it's obvious they are extensions, but not one person has asked that. They want to know HOW I grow them naturally. Jordan is not only a lovely person, but she is a hardworking person who appreciates her clients. As a business owner I can appreciate this. She is very busy, so you have to plan in advance if you want to see her. However, Jordan has employed a group of women who know their way around your eyelashes. I actually saw Teryn last week because of a last minute change in time....almost a week later you would have thought she or Jordan had JUST worked on my lashes. I am either being extra careful, or she did a great job, or both. I don't think I've ever posted a review on Yelp, so this is not to be taken lightly. Very unprofessional. First she didn't do my eyelash right. Had to send MULTIPLE videos and pictures of my eyelashes falling out to finally get her to refund my money. Went to someone else to remove the eyelashes she did and properly apply new eyelashes on the little that I had left in hopes some will grow back. As you can see I have a gap missing! After 1 week!! She finds a picture online of my new eyelashes that someone else did. She makes sure to send me a photo of my new eyelashes that she found online (I have NO connections to this lady personally online) sends me a text and starts harassing me. NOT HAPPY with their service at all!!! During heavy rush hour and recently moved in Nashville, drove around 3-4 times, couldn't find their sign, and it was hard to find it on my GPS. I couldn't call to ask for directions or reschedule because I had to go home to use a special relay service because I am Deaf. I drove back home and tried to call their business but it was out of service. Finally CAT, the eye lash extensions specialist texted me and asked where I was. I'm a long time customer of Jordan's, since her days underneath the Bluebird Cafe, and took a break from lash extensions for a short while. I missed the ease eyelash extensions bring to my life - not having to deal with mascara each day really is freeing. My visit the other day was my first to Wink's new location on Bandywood and it's beautiful - lots of natural light and a peaceful vibe. The chairs are reclined just right for Jordan to get my lashes on perfectly and they're comfortable for me too. Chica the sweetheart (ask to meet Chica if you're new to the salon) was looking adorable in her new pink princess outfit and overall, I just had a good time being back in Jordan's chair. I am not an avid yelp reviewer but I did feel the need to review this experience. Last Thursday I had come in for my first time at this salon for a set of lashes with Cat. I have had lashes in the past and have been wearing false lashes since I was 12 (I was a competitive cheerleader, they were part of the uniform). I have never experienced an issue with any glue or product in over 14 years of use. Fast forward 12 hours after my application, which was upgraded to a hybrid costing $185 instead of the $170 appointment I scheduled without checking with me first on the up-charge, I woke up with a very swollen left eyelid. Throughout the day the swelling continued to get worse. I decided to call first thing in the morning for a removal. That Saturday morning I woke up with lashes all over my face and extremely red, puffy, swollen eyes. I called the minute they opened and was told I had to come in to have them removed, never once was a fee mentioned (happens to be $30). The removal was painful, but thankfully only took 20 minutes because of how many lashes had come off already. I left missing a few natural lashes, and with the remaining ones looking a bit out of place. Today, 5 days later, the swelling is finally back down. Unfortunately this experience caused me to reschedule engagement photos, and put me out $215.00 (before the 20-25% tip left). When I came in for the removal my fill in appointment had already been canceled, so the stylist knew of the issue. I was placed in the chair next to her and she did not look me in the eye or acknowledge the issue. I would have expected her to offer a free removal or some type of refund considering I got about 5 hours of use before issues began. This review would have been a 1 Star if the girl performing the removal wasn't as sweet as she was, it was not her fault for how poorly the lashes were applied or how unprofessional the previous stylist had been. Unfortunately I will not be going back, there does not appear to be any real oversight from the owner towards the stylists leaving a lot of liability on the table. This place is awesome. I came here to have my lashes done before my wedding in October and it was the best last experience I have ever had. I had gotten lash extensions before and just thought it was normal for lash extensions to only last about 2 weeks and ruin your personal lashes. I went to a girl in California (where I live) and it took a year for my lashes to get back to how they normally are, but these lashes lasted about a month on me, lasted through the wedding, through the honeymoon, about two weeks after, and didnt ruin my lashes a single bit. If I lived in Nashville, I would go here all the time! read more

I struggled for a few weeks about making this review and what rating to give this company. My review is based on installation visit and removal visit. Ashley did my lashes. Before I went, I checked out the FAQ on the website about what to expect. I loved the idea of the "quiet and relaxing experience" they promoted. Ashley did a great job explaining the different sizes of lashes and worked with me to get the desired effect I was looking for. The experience was so relaxing that I fell asleep. Two hours later, I woke up to gorgeous lashes. Ashley went over how to maintain them and I left feeling great. Over the next few weeks, I got many compliments on my lashes and gave out info to where to get them done. Over the few weeks, some lashes shedded as to be expected and they still looked great. In the end, I decided to have them removed because false eyelashes just wasn't part of my lifestyle. It was a fun thing to try. I scheduled a removal and this is where the negative part of my review starts. Coming in for my removal, I was expecting the same quiet and relaxing experience that I had before and that was promoted on the website. I entered the room to be seen by Teryn and there was another worker, Norma, there waiting for her client to arrive. Norma's client was late and Norma talked non stop to Teryn while she was trying to remove my lashes. At one point there was a conversation about whether or not to give her client the current special or just charge her full price. This was definitely not a conversation to have in front of another customer...especially when you are talking about getting the most money out of a customer. Then Norma talked about her issue with her "baby daddy" ...again, more conversation that shouldn't take place in front of a customer. My removal was PAINFUL. I tried to remain as still as possible through all the pinching and pulling. It felt like she was plucking out my eyelashes. Teryn complained the whole time about not being able to get them off. Then there was conversation with Norma about some solution used to remove the lashes that she did not have. It seems to me if you know you have a removal scheduled, you would have all the tools and supplies needed for the removal. Then she wanted to blame my eyelashes for not being grown out enough. However, most of my lashes were grown out. If the proper tools and solutions were used, there shouldn't be a problem even if I came in a few days after installation to have them removed. When she said she was done, I was so happy to run out of that place. I felt like I was be tortured by Teryn's tweezers and Norma's unstoppable chatter the whole time. My eyelids remained sore for several hours after. I had to call back because they overcharged me for the removal. The website said and still says(as of 1/3/2016) 20 dollars for removal but I was charged 30. I was told that the prices on the website were not correct. It's been weeks since my visit and they still haven't corrected the price on the website. After my removal, my eyelashes were left very very thin and broken off. I had nice eyelashes before I even got the extensions but after the removal, I was left with half the about and all were broken off. I was sad, disappointed, and pissed off. I went to work the next day and a coworker asked what happened to me. I started crying and told her what happened. I've always had nice eyelashes but it is hard for me to look at myself in the mirror because I look so weird and strange now with all these short short thin broken lashes. I feel stupid because when some of the ladies made faces about how much I paid to get them done and how they "know a place" that do lashes for half the price, I would reply "You get what you pay for." Well I didn't pay to be left with severely damaged eyelashes. I thought going to a "nice" salon in Green Hills and the amount I paid, would leave me with a wonderful experience. Now It's the waiting game. Now I wait for my eyelashes to return. A nice treat for myself turned into a nightmare read more

After reading reviews here, seeing tv stars talk about this place and seeing all the Instagram photos, I thought Wink was the place for me. This was my very first set of extensions ever. Did I like them immediately? Yes! I did for about the 1st week. By day 8, I had already lost about 10 lashes that I was aware of. I was in dire need of a fill by day 12. One eye even has a huge gap where my lashes have come out. The ones in the outter corners have lasted but that's it, so while I have fanned out corner lashes, I have nothing but little tiny lashes all around. Due for my first fill after 3 weeks, and I cancelled. Going to go to another salon that other friends have highly recommended. I don't know how some people are saying that their lashes are lasting way longer than when they need to go 3 weeks or even 4. For what I paid for a full set, I expected my lashes to last and not need a fill before the 2nd week. And yes, I followed the directions; keep lashes dry for 24 hours (I actually waited 48 hrs to play it safe), don't rub them, dry them after showering with a hand fan and then use the brush to fan them out, use only water-based makeup remover, stopped using mascara and eyeliner (mostly because I didn't need it the 1st week) so I have no clue why they really only lasted a week. UPDATE: After reading this review, the owner or manager (not sure which) emailed me to give me a refund which of course I accepted. THEN she asks me to remove the review! No, I'm not removing it. So you want to hide the crap work that gets done? That's how you run a business?? This must be why they have good reviews; if people give a bad review, then they're asked to remove it. Absolutely LOVE Wink!! I previously went to another lash parlour in Nashville where the staff was rude and basically told me that I needed to stop getting lash extensions because my eyes twitched so much. I ended up switching to Wink and telling Jordan what happened. She was like no problem we can fix that, and used a headband to relax my eye muscles. I have always wanted longer eyelashes and I have to say, Jordan has me hooked! I'm 26 and feel like I have tried every curler and mascara on the market and have always resorted to false eyelashes for special occasions and just put up with my shrimpy lashes otherwise. When my sister and mom had Jordan do eyelash extensions for my sister's wedding we all fell in love with them, and I knew I had to grab my own. I love them so much, my style is more natural so I opted for the shorter ones which are still so beautiful and long. It's been three weeks and they still look great. Jordan is awesome at what she does and a pleasure to chat with! It really does feel like you've known her forever, she is just that way :) If you are considering it and are looking for that extra little bit I really suggest these. Jordan is awesome!! I love my new eyelashes, they look perfect on me - she does a great job of figuring out what you are looking for (fuller, longer, curlier). Prices were not nearly as expensive as others in the area. It didn't take too long either - heads up she is booked weeks in advanced so get on her schedule early!!! read more

Very disappointed that this didn't work out. My lashes looked great at first. I was looking forward to being a repeat customer. But after two days, my lashes started falling out even though I followed all their guidelines. I called and was told that someone would call me back the next morning. No one did. So I emailed. I was not able to come at the time they suggested as I was leaving town half an hour after that, but I stopped in at that time to just show someone my lashes. After that I got an email and a phone call. There was obviously a misunderstanding, but since they did not seem willing to listen, I just let it go. They told me they would no longer help me and did not appreciate my stopping in without a set appointment. All I wanted to do was show someone my lashes as proof and set a future appointment for the following week as previously they had told me I could. Based on other reviews, I think they probably do a good job much of the time, but I didn't have that experience. Their customer service is definitely lacking. I just think they don't know how to handle when problems happen. Even though I lost all my lashes within 4 days, I still wanted to give them a chance to correct. The feeling was not mutual, but I am glad that they agreed to refund my money since they wouldn't fix the problem. I am happy that so many others had a different experience and I wish I was one of them. If I had had a better experience, I would have been a regular. BTW, future customers , their website pricing is not correct so unless it has been recently updated, just be aware that you will be charged more than the price listed online. read more
