Most of my family uses Hello Darlin, or specifically our stylist Pam Gomez, and we have always been pleased. It doesn't matter if it is my short, feathery greying hair, or my son's thick, long flowing locks, neither one of us has failed to receive compliments when Pam is through working her craft. As soon as I walked in to work after my last appointment, I was met with a chorus of compliments. While Pam is amazing and I would highly recommend you ask for her, it was not just her alone that impressed me with the salon. Built in a former home, the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly and the salon is clean and seems well organized. When observing other stylist that work there, I noticed that their interaction with customers was very similar to my experience with Pam. They are all very friendly, engaging and capable from what I have seen. I have heard many customers explain what they want in terms that I could not decipher, just to see them beaming with pleasure at the results the stylist produced. It's clean and quiet, I almost fall asleep. Iv been twice so far and am doing the builder gel to try and hep my nails grow. The pink/white color was my first time by Nora, I was happy with them especially for them being so short. Nick did the French tips and I love them, they're not thick and look and feel very natural. The French is my natural nail growth with the builder gel, no added tips. They've always been very nice and attentive. These take about 30 mins so it's pretty quick too. I'll definitely be returning.

The technician repeatedly argued with me about the design. She kept saying the nails in the picture were thicker because of color and told me the shape I wanted would not look good on me. Instead of listening to what I asked for, she kept trying to do them her way. The nails were coming out much thicker than the photo, the shape was wrong, and my nail beds were starting to feel bruised. I told her several times that they were not what I wanted. She then stopped working on my nails completely and switched me to another technician, Nick. He tried to fix them but could not correct the thickness or shape. At that point I told him I hated them because they looked nothing like the picture. He ended up soaking off what she had done and I had to pick a completely different color because of how my nails looked. For my toes, I was told there would be three coats of glitter, but only two were applied and the glitter is barely visible. During the appointment I also told him I needed to be back in class by 2:00 PM and had not even had time for lunch, but the service still felt rushed. When I went to check out, I was charged more than what I had originally been told. I reminded them that I was quoted $48, but after speaking with someone in the back they refused to honor that price and only offered 10% off. I still ended up being charged $52. Overall, the service did not match what I requested, the technician did not listen to my instructions, the work had to be redone midway through the appointment, the promised services were not completed, and the final price did not match the quote I was given. I left with nails and toes that look nothing like what I asked for and am very disappointed with the experience.
