I went through a terrible experience with a previous realtor and after 4 months my property didn't have 1 offer so I took it off the market. Many months later, I searched Google and found Morgan after reading a review on here (Yelp) and browsing her website. After reviewing her "buyer/seller guide" (which I highly recommend you ask her for), it literally answered every question I had as a seller. And in my case, I started to question after living in 4 states and working with countless realtors, why this was my first time seeing such a guide? It speaks to Morgan's ability to truly understand her market and clients. I went from no sell after 4 months to hiring Morgan and had an offer in 10 DAYS!!! You can't get any better than that. What I love about Morgan is that she's a straight-shooter. She won't B.S. you and she delivers. She also pays attention to details. I lived out of state from my property so she did all of the legwork for me. My condo needed some work with painting, staging (which I HIGHLY recommend her staging services), and minor maintenance. Her pricing was reasonable, she got it done in a timely manner, and she found ways to save (to the point that she went and actually swapped an item purchased for a less expensive one). She has a great eye for design, and most importantly, she's trustworthy. I can't recommend this woman enough. No shade to male realtors, but my experience personally has been that woman realtors pay more attention to details. I gave Morgan my timeline and budget and she completely exceeded my expectations. I don't even think this review does her justice as I'm beyond thankful for her services. She's phenomenal. If you're in search of a realtor or have a realtor already but you have a hunch they aren't meeting your needs, before you sign any papers, I'd make the switch or at minimum hear what she has to say. I was ready to move on from being a landlord after 8 years. I was referred to Chris by a client of mine. I was pleased to learn that he himslef was a landlord in the Twin Cities and offered excellent insight regarding what to invest in/not invest in on the property before selling it. He understood that I purchased at the top of the market and was selling for less than a profit and gave me the best advice possible. I was very happy with that sale. Next came my home purchase in 2016. I was looking from out of state and working with Chris. To be fair I would say I was more high maintenance than your avergage client, I wanted a very specific neighborhood, a home that was within my specific price range, and I wanted something with character and city amenitites etc. In addition to that, I would look at any place Chris thought would be a fit, even if it was a bit out of my neighborhood. He let me know that I saw more than the average number of properties, that many people get fatigued after x number. And I agree, I saw an exhasting number of houses, but I had to know. I had to know that I was making the best choice and not jumping in too soon to something. We made/attempted to make a couple of offers and finally got the perfect place in NE! I Couldn't have been happier. I spent 8 months flipping the property and used Chris again to list it. We sold it the first weekend for a great profit. Again, I couldn't have been happier! The selling process was much less taxing on my end, I can't speak for Chris however. After that it was back to the drawing board. I looked at multiple properties, making offers on 2 duplexes, and one condo. One falling through after inspection, one because of a request for a commercial loan, and the last because I wasn't feeling it- and he totally supported that. Chris was very pateint and professional throughout the entire process. I ultimately settled on a single family home. Because I am a neighborhood snob it was the best choice for me. I learned a lot in my year and a half of working with Chris and couldn't be happier with my new place and the knowledge I have gained from him. I HIGHLY recommend working with Chris. Less than an hour after I'd submitted my application I received an email informing me I'd been denied for a host of reasons that aren't even applicable to me. Two of the stated reasons for denial were insufficient income and lack of income verification. I'd attached a paystub that included my 'year to date' earnings proving my income is more than sufficient, they made no attempt to verify. They also stated I had insufficient rental history, I have a spotless rental history spanning over 2 decades in the Twin Cities, and again, no attempt to verify was made. But they get to keep my $50 application fee! Hornig Co is a whole scam, AVOID.
