Always a go-to spot when we can't make up our minds!! The service is usually good and the food/drinks are always great here. We haven't been disappointed in the handful of times we have been here! We got the Bo-Man's Smashburger on garlic bread (it was massive!!) and the Mini Burger Basket (sliders). Both fabulous!!!! The patio with a roof was awesome on a hot, sunny day. I came here for the Cleveland Monsters Watch Party. Unfortunately the Monsters did not win and were eliminated from the playoffs. But the food was delicious. I ordered the beef nachos. And I am sometimes hesitant to order nachos because the chips become soggy. I was very impressed that they were not soggy at all. Still very crispy. The amount of toppings also impressed me. Some places give you so many chips and not enough toppings. Well I can tell you the chip to topping ratio was perfect. I didn't have any issues. I sat at the bar and was happy with the service. The one thing I would prob give feedback on is the TVs. I sat in the end section of the bar. And the TVs that I had to watch were either behind me. Or very far away in front of me. So if I had to choose a seat again. The ends of the bar are not for sports lovers. Because you can't see the TVs properly. read more

We walked in here after being ignored at Forage and we were very pleased to see many customers including a table of emergency responders. The bartender was very friendly and pleasant and immediately gave us menus and moments later took our order. The kitchen cheerfully split our sandwich order in two for us as requested. I really enjoy the atmosphere of the building and think it would be a great place to watch a game. They had really nice Christmas lights which added to the ambiance. Their baked beans are my favorite anywhere. The bartender Will is always in a good mood, very personable and gives impeccable service. We walked in on 4/30 at 805pm and requested a table. We were pointed to a table and were told they were getting it ready. We waited approximately 15 minutes while they prepared the table as we were looking for somewhere to watch the cavs playoff game. Just as the table was cleared, we watched another host seat people at the table. We then saw the original host and said something, and they both conversed and said they were sorry and pointed to a few tables that they could clear off for us if we wanted to wait . I then asked them to tell the people that just walked in to say they are sorry and that table was promised to someone else since we've been waiting. They both would not do that. We Said we would go elsewhere, and they said ok. They could care less. I have been going to winking lizard for over 25 years. I have always had great service. Winking Lizard is one of my all time comfort spots, Lakewood's location specifically. I visited on a Monday morning, and was seated immediately by a very nice young lady. Our server was quick to attend us, and was very friendly towards us. Their drink menu is tremendous, I feel as if there isn't one beer missing from that list. They have many low calorie options on their menu as well. I decided to go for the Maui Maui chicken sandwich, it consists of a brioche bun, grilled chicken breast dressed in teriyaki sauce, a pineapple ring, and comes with a side of steak fries (or a substitute of your choice). Their barbecue sauce was great as well, highly recommend using it on the fries. The sandwich was delicious and only around 350 calories. As for atmosphere, the restaurant is huge on the inside. They have a popcorn machine, and arcade games when you walk in, so if you ever have to wait a while, you definitely won't be bored. The dining floor is HUGE! It is covered in classic american decor, and sports memorabilia. I absolutely loved my experience, and can't wait to come back. read more

Blue cheese dressing was like a glass of water. I called and talked to a manager. Her responses. With the blue cheese dressing it depends on who is making it?? I would think it is a consistent batch. Fish tasting: it depends on the oil used. If you're allergic to fish like me .. huge problem. Took a Benadryl. Me not thinking my food was going to taste like fish since I didn't order fish I had no idea it depended on the oil. Manager also told me not to be harsh with her because she deals with people complaining all the time. Red Flag!! Stay away or ask them not to cook your wings and fries in fish oil. My wife and I went to the Lakewood Winking Lizard to watch the Cleveland Guardians game. Around the 5th inning a "manager" switched the TV we were watching to a YANKEES game, and the one next to it a Pirates game. When we asked her to turn the Guards back on she told us that corporate policy dictates that you cannot have a game on more that two TV's. She threatened to kick us out if we kept on asking to have the Guards game back on. Again, this is Cleveland not new york. Hopefully this by the book manager will be back at her Giant Eagle bag packer job next time we go for beers, food and a Cleveland game. Still can't believe it. read more

Fantastic location, much better than the one closer to downtown Cleveland! The food here was delicious! My friend and I stopped by late at night (another perk, they're open late), and we got the deep fried pickles appetizer. It was delicious! I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Wrap, and it was excellent! The fries of the side could use a bit more salt, and I used ketchup to add some flavor. The reason why this review is four stars instead of five is because the game that was playing at the time was insanely loud. I'm all for having sports play at a tavern, but my friend and I could hardly hear ourselves, let alone the other person. It wasn't a great social environment during game time. read more

WE had kind of a big group going to the Cavs game Sunday night. Good amount of people in the place when we got there, but got a table in 5 minutes and had prompt good service, and the food was very good. We told the waiter we were going to the game, so we had a hard out. So when he served us he asked if we wanted the check right then so we could boogie as soon as we needed to. I love that, I hate finishing the meal then watching for the waiter then he finally comes back, then we have to wait for the check etc. None of that. We hustled right out and made tip off. Yesterday a group of friends and I went to the winking lizard to watch the ncaa wrestling national finals. The finals were being broadcasted on espn and had started before we were sat down. We asked one of the hostess' if they could change the tv closest to us to that channel. To note it was already playing on two other tv's a bit farther away. The manager then walked out and informed us that they are not allowed to have on any type of mma or fighting on their tv's. NCAA wrestling does not fall into either of those categories but she insisted that she was now going to switch the two tv's that had the wrestling on over to a basketball game. We decided we were no longer going to stay and order food since we could not watch what we went out to watch. 3 of our friends stayed back since they were not there to watch the wrestling and informed us that they put the wrestling back on the tv after we had left. They also had wrestling on for the conference tournaments the other week. I am very dissatisfied with how the manager handled the situation. Seriously can't complain. A cleveland mainstay and easy go to sports bar. Wing and pizza nights are Monday and Tuesday. A million bottle/craft beer for the beer snobs out there. They offer the World Tour of Beers and you get a jacket. I think when you add up all the beers on that tour it's close to like $750. Wear that jacket w pride. My only serious complaint is they have this anti Budweiser on draft thing. They have beer specials of draft for different nights (32oz Labatts Saturday to Monday....32oz Yuengling Tuesday to Friday). Just wouldn't mind having a regular Bud Light while watching a Cavs game. Bonus points for the patio out front. Decent prices and very clean place to eat and drink. read more

We visited a new Winking lizard last night, Lakewood. We had such a great time. This renovated theater is a cool setting for a good time. They have a nice big patio. A large dining room, large bar and bar seating and an arcade game room. I am jealous how big this winking lizard is. Sarah and Hannah were our bartenders. They were both super friendly. Sarah told us about the beer specials and convinced to try this Madtree beer (pictured) that was served with this awesome flamingo floaty. Guys, all my beer this summer will float!!! Seriously pretty cool. We tried the spin dip as an appetizer. It was delicious. I do wish they would use the awesome pitas they serve with the berr cheese dips for the spin dip. But Its probably not cost effective, but I know that would be a killer combination. We then got a few more craft beers. Sarah suggested we start a tour since we had liked trying new beers but we declined after realizing how much beer we would have to drink and how many calories that would be on me. Maybe next year. We also got the lamb burger which is on the seasonal menu and it is AMAZING. I am always a fan of winking lizards seasonal menus, it's the way to go. I really enjoyed this delicious and complex burger. After not eating meat for 2 years this burger made me rejoice that I changed my diet. What a pleasant surprise! We were able to get in right away on a Saturday night. The Winking Lizard has the same menu as all of the other locations, but a very different atmosphere. They have renovated an old Elks lodge and bowling alley and turned it into a restaurant for everyone. Just another option when looking for a bite it eat. Will definitely be back. Great place to come for some big name beers when in the area. Service is typically good but you can tell like most places they are struggling to find decent help. Tonight we came in with some friends and their young children for dinner. We had 5 total people and got squeezed into a four top table. We were very cramped especially with two toddlers with us. We ordered one appetizer (cheesy garlic bread) and our food. Our app came out at the same time as the rest of our food leaving us again no room at the table. Food quality was subpar at best for the prices. We also asked for separate checks and gave a clear breakdown of seats but some how our bills still were mixed up. I was told Winking Lizard Tavern is the favorite spot for wings. After dining at their Lakewood location, I can see why! It is a great casual spot to grab some cold beers and delicious and saucy wings. I went with the bourbon barrel sauced wings and it was incredible! I love the tangy and spicy flavors and just the fact that it's just a super thick sauce. I was definitely in love. Though I really enjoyed my pick, it was really difficult to choose just ONE sauce.... I wish I had more of an appetite to have ordered several of the 5-packs to try. The wings themselves were cooked perfectly. Nice and crispy on the outside and cook well. WL does wings right and is perfect for wing night. They also offered a beer special of the day where it was cheaper to order their larger size vs the pint. Our server was on top of things, though definitely overwhelmed on a Saturday afternoon. The space was packed for their outdoor patio seating. I'm glad they could offer additional seating outdoors but it seemed like their equipment (umbrellas and chairs) had some issues that were annoying but not necessarily enough to complain about.
