What makes Scratch's French toast so good is that they don't use plain old white bread for it. Instead, they use sweet bread pudding, which makes for an utterly decadent and delicious breakfast. They were topped with sliced bananas and a rich bourbon caramel sauce, and served with maple syrup infused whipped cream that was almost practically ice cream. The French toast also comes with your choice of sausage or pork belly. I opted for the sausage patties, which were tasty and homemade. I also ordered the orange juice ($4.50) and home fries ($3.75). The home fries were delicious. Crispy potato chunks that were the right amount of salty. Between the French toast and home fries, I left stuffed. Service was also great. My server was very friendly and welcoming, and came to check on me a couple of times. Notes - it's a small place with a couple of tables, but I was able to take a seat right away on a Friday morning.
