I think my issue is the same as everyone else that purchased a groupon. I called to make an appointment and was sent to book online. Once online, I tried to apply my Living Social code & it didn't work, so in order to not lose the appt slot, I paid a deposit for my appt. thinking I could be refunded for the deposit. I arrive and explain the deposit issue and she is very curt, abrupt and unprofessional. She said she isn't accepting any groupons or Living social and has no idea why she is even still on the site and the ones from prior months she only has specific times for those. She didn't apologize, didn't offer any options, simply stated she would refund my deposit and told me goodbye. Which is unfortunate because I was looking for a new person, as my current one has just moved and was just buying a groupon to try it out before becoming a permanent client. And honestly, I would have just paid for it. If given even a small discount for the issue, but I don't want someone so rude near my eyeballs! read more

I got my lashes done here about a month ago here and it was great! I've gotten my lashes done a bunch of times by different places since I move around a lot, but I really liked this place. This place was cute and cozy. The lashes turned out very pretty (which I can be pretty picky about), and the lashes lasted a long while!! The best part was that it took her I think under an hour to do a fresh set... super efficient! I cannot come back though because the glue they use I'm allergic to (which has happened to me in the past), so I had to find another place unfortunately. Also, the price was cheap!! I LOVE Winks. I was a "Lash Virgin" when I came here and I don't need to try anywhere else because my experience here was so positive. Carlina works quickly and thoroughly, without compromising quality. She is also easy to talk to, and the whole experience is relaxing. Definitely a new part of my beauty routine.. I can never go back! I was nervous at first because I wasn't sure how extensions would fare on my straight, Filipino lashes, but I am definitely a believer now! I get compliments on my lashes all the time and they last about a month when I take good care of them. I went in for a fill today and the younger girl worked on my lashes, my lashes were stuck all over with glue and she kept pressing hard on my eye and pulled out my real lashes multiple times, not to mention i laid there for TWO hours for her then to charge me 80$ for this fill. BEWARE!! The owner is very unreliable and does not show up for appointments. I had an appointment at 6:00 pm, with a Groupon. She emailed me confirmation of this appointment a couple days ago. Ironically, the emailed stated that if I cancelled within 48 hours of my appt, that I would charged! I tried calling but the message just says that she is closed. I texted her several times that I was waiting outside and she did not answer me. I had made this appointment for a special occasion. Too late now to find someone to do my lashes before tomorrow. Yelp Review: Its with mixed feelings I write this review because although I absolutely loved the work my lash tech did I am completely displeased with the level of professionalism she has exhibited! For beginners she was late to my first appointment, which is understandable and easily forgivable but not when the notification that you are going to be late is 2 mins before our scheduled appointment time! What an impression and the first strike to disrespecting my time. Even with that being said I wait and still go through with the appointment. And again as I stated before she did a great job! I book my next appointment 3 weeks later and I'm finagling my schedule to work with the available appt time. I get confirmation and I'm ready to go... and guess what she was a total NO SHOW! I had to contact her to remind her of my appointment and the confirmation and she then proceeds to go down a list of a million excuses as to why she wouldn't have accepted any appointments for that day. At this point do I need to hear your excuses? Again unprofessional and a complete disrespect to my time and loyalty. After all the lengthy excuses here comes the apology (finally) and attempts to reschedule. All the times she has available are during normal working hours so quite naturally I am unable to make them. I suggest a few times that I can work with ..and or possibly the weekend...she replies with "NO" . I've worked in customer service for well over 10 years and if there have been any concrete takeaways it is one thing that I am certain and that is a response of just "No". Mind you I paid in advance so You can imagine I am livid at the level of empathy and customer service. By far the worst I've experienced especially in a business as this since there are many other options and "yelp reviews" to cipher through to gain confidence from. The woman (who claims to be the owner of the business) answers the phone and becomes angry and disrespectful with you when you try to ask questions about signing up for a service with a groupon. She hung up the phone on me when I tried to use the voucher according to groupon's terms, saying that this is her business and she doesn't have to do what groupon's agreements with the customer are. She only made 2 days a week available at 9 am and 1pm available for groupon users. For any working person, those times don't work. So you have a business that is owned by an individual that frankly doesn't care about you and rakes in your money on her own terms and also makes it difficult to make appointments. Frankly, based on her terrible and careless attitude, I wouldn't trust my lashes with her anyways. Run away with your money and lashes from this business and go somewhere that will treat you with respect. read more

I had the WORST experience here. I contacted this establishment after buying their Groupon. They sent me a link and i booked my appointment but they couldnt find me in the system and requested my voucher number via text message which I declined(considering this is how they get paid i was not comfortable sending the voucher number via text). Groupon denied my request for a refund, so i tried to book with them again(at Groupons request) I had an appointment tonight and guess what... no lashes. The girl who i was scheduled with was on VACATION to DR ( this is after ive knocked on the door twice, walked around the building and hear people inside, but no one will aswer the door! So i banged on the door and was greeted with an attitude!) After proving i had an appointment the woman offered to do my lashes, but got mad when i said, "No i dont want you to do someone elses work, i will deal with it." For whatever reason she thought i was threatening her daughter (the person who was suppose to do my lashes) by saying i will deal with it! This place has great reviews all around and that's the reason I wanted to have my lashes done here. They seemed to be the cream of the crop. They just might be the cream of the crop but their customer service is ATROCIOUS, to say the least and there's no need for me to spend my hard earned money here. I bought a groupon and was text messaged a link to make an appointment, which I did. I found out days later,that my appointment was canceled. They went ahead and canceled it. It took about 5 days before someone actually explained the reason behind it. They were very quick to stereotype, I guess because I have an accent. They then avoided my calls when I tried to seek advice on how to reschedule. One of the ladies even hung up the phone on me. It was a few seconds after someone sent me a text suggesting that I cancel my Groupon. Mind you, this was past the 3 day return policy of Groupon, which is a clear indication they didn't care one bit if I lost my money or not. I was shocked by their unprofessionalism. They may be good at what they're doing but they are the epitome of unprofessional when it comes to customer service. It's not what's said that people will remember, it's how you make them feel and WINKS did a great job of making me feel unwelcome.
