A gorgeous display of peppers inspired me to write a review for the Winn Dixie location closest to me. I made a stop into this store after a very disappointing visit to the other Grocery Store nearby (Publix), which had 4 yellow peppers to choose from and all of which were wrinkly. I was so pleased to see not only a plethora of peppers but also how nice they looked. Okay so you're not coming to Winn Dixie for peppers? That's fine too! I find this store usually has everything I need stocked, easy to find, and it's clean. IMO it Would be a 5 star grocery experience if I didn't have to use self check out what feels like 80% of the time I'm in here (I can't stand this so it really feels like a 3.5 star experience to me).... They do usually have registers open but after a certain time (still can't figure out when that is!) it seems like they reduce the registers to self checkout only and tbh I'm just not a fan of that - maybe I'm a little old fashioned. Either way, this store is nice, usually not too busy. I will add that the Customer service is usually great when I do get the opportunity to interact with their staff. read more

This particular location of Winn-Dixie is a great supermarket. I stopped in on an early Saturday morning and had an overall pleasant experience. This Winn-Dixie location is in the Lockwood Village strip plaza and has plenty of parking (always a plus). The store itself is clean and the staff was friendly. The store itself was also pretty well stocked, so I was able to do my shopping and find everything that I needed. I was also in and out in a relatively quick amount of time. It is good to see Winn-Dixie making a comeback by aggressively remodeling not only their stores, but their business model overall. I am especially pleased with their meat department. For a supermarket who billed themselves as "the beef people," they had lapsed by offering cheap cuts. Now they are putting an emphasis on their USDA Choice graded beef and are regularly doing some pretty good specials. I would definitely recommend this particular location of Winn-Dixie. read more

The pork is iffy, at best. I decided to stay safe by buying packages foods instead. I bought a 16oz bag of salami. I didn't notice the seam of the bag was compromised until I took it out at home to eat. I brought it back to the same store I bought it from but they changed from Genoa to hard salami and refused to exchange it because they did not have that barcode. I was shocked that the store manager refused to do anything about an obvious packaging issue. As I left, he told the customer service girl, Lisa, that was how you deal with that. So much for food quality or customer service. read more

the staff especially the taller brunette skinny guy act like it's such an inconvenience to check you out or help and whenever I walked in the entire staff were just sitting down upfront being completely unprofessional this place is a disappointment to all winn Dixie's I expected better read more

I'm not here terribly often; however- when I get this way, this WD is the only store I'll visit. The entire store is clean and sparkling. Even compared to other WD locations or Publix nearby. The bakery is expansive, as is the deli. Plenty to choose from in those departments. The normal chicken/premade sandwiches/potato salad/etc is all there and plentiful. The prices are good too, as is normal for WD. No surprise there. But most importantly, the staff is what makes this the best type of store to visit. Someone is available if needed, but they aren't making a beeline to you hoping you need help. read more

This Winn Dixie had toilet paper yesterday! That's a win during this COVID-19 pandemic. I also get some great CBD roll on product here for pain. The prices here are less than Publix for sure. Thank you to the workers here during this pandemic. read more

Lately the meat hasn't been up to par or so it seems. It also seems we used to have better deals on meat. Everything else is pretty much the same. Good deals and earned rewards come in handy. read more

"Beef People" my butt. "Cheat People" is more like it. I picked out three thick sirloin steaks with a little nice marbling and almost no fat, and asked the man behind the meat counter to cut it into 1-inch cubes (for a special recipe). He took it in the back and emerged several minutes later and handed me a package. I started to walk away and then noticed what he had given me: three pounds of chuck steak in big cubes with slabs of solid fat. He switched out the meat I had picked out and substituted something a lot cheaper, then stuck the price tax for the sirloin on it. I couldn't believe my eyes. I put it in the meat case. Another employee asked me if I didn't want it, and I told him why I didn't. "Do you want us to cut up some sirloin for you?" "That's what I asked for in the first place and didn't get." This store just lost a long-standing customer. Hope that ugly little trick felt worth it. read more

The amount of service you get at this Winn-Dixie location is amazing. Not only is the staff super friendly, the prices are very good. The Plenti card isn't as good as it could be, but Plenti is a separate entity and no fault of Winn-Dixie themselves. An example of good service would be when I noticed they didn't carry a lot of the particular kind of potato chips that I wanted. I told them I'd like to see this particular kind of chips more, and it was taken care of within just 2 days. Now every time I shop there, it's always in stock! Amazing service. To top it off, the staff is not only just super friendly, they do care about you, and do remember you as well. I would highly recommend this location. read more

I am closer to Winn-Dixie than any other store also the prices are better than Publix. But they have you print out coupons that are not made especially for me and I have trouble with the app it never gives me the deals it offers. I would prefer to just have a card on my key chain. But now they don't do that anymore and I never get the sale or coupons because when I scan the item it tells me item not available, even though I am looking at it and scanning it from inside the store. The whole thing is a ripoff and I never get the deals or the mystery boxes. So I will go back to getting deliveries from other stores. read more

A nice supermarket with a good selection of items. This is one of the newer Winn-Dixie supermarkets in the area that doesn't have an 80's feel ... or an old supermarket feel. The selection of items, pretty much across the board from produce to meats to dry good is very good and I think very well priced. Much better than other neighboring markets. Maybe not as cheap as a nearby giant ... but more selection of certain things, and the produce seems a lot more fresh. In addition, the staff is always very friendly and accommodating. The only one bad thing is that if you sign up now for the Winn-Dixie card ... you cannot use your phone number to identify yourself as a card user. So you actually need to have the card on the key chain or use a "card specific app" for your phone. Overall, great store, great prices and a good choice for my grocery shopping. read more

Don't get me wrong, I like competion. But does it have to be Winn Dixie? We usually go to Publix, but because they weren't open yet we went to Winn Dixie. We had purchased cookies for my daughters class, as it was her birthday. It was pretty embarrassing for her when the cookies she gave out were stale. Winn Dixie is overall just a disappointment. If you don't get the items when they are on special on your card you are paying twice as much as most other places. I have always heard their meat was good, but really am I going to trust them with meat. read more

The APP is a joke and never works. Today I go in and shocked to see two cashiers. The manager comes over and sends one home saying there were too many employees. I counted 4 employees and a manager in the entire store. Ever count how many employees are in Publix? Go in at 4 pm for their guaranteed fresh fried chicken and they only had half priced old chicken from this morning. No I don't want it. Then the self checkout crashes so have to go thru regular checkout. Most times they crash and when it happens I lose my bonus rewards. So lost rewards on $100 of groceries today, no fresh fried chicken, had to wait in a checkout line because manager sends the other checkout employee home. The place is dark like they are trying to save on the electric bill and it's dirty and they just want to push their store brand. Then the cashier asked me if I wanted my receipt like now they are trying to save on paper? I just deleted the app and will never shop there again. Publix has my business from now on. read more

Winn-Dixie is my favorite grocery store in Oviedo. Paying extra for the same food makes no sense to our family. We don't have time to shop multiple places, feel their variety is exceptional, and the staff is always very helpful. read more

Don't bother scheduling a vaccination appointment if you're between 50 and 60 but don't qualify in one of more ways according to the FLORIDA Dept. Of Health. I filled out the web questions accurately, boom, gave me 11:40 appt. today. Took off of work, show up on time, answered the normal additional questions, was told they'd call me when ready. Then told me nope, needed a Dr's note saying I was high risk if I wanted the "free shot". I said I'd just pay cash, they said fine, it's $50. FINALLY I get up to pay, cashier can't ring it up??? Turns out, I'm not allowed to pay for a vaccine that I'm eligible for and qualified to take...by law. Was told I have to get the Dr's note or they won't vaccinate me. Why would their website even qualify me to make an appt.??? Would have been nice to know before I took over 2 hrs. off of work. So done with the Beef People. Never going back. BTW, I'm 50 1/2 y.o. Being from Texas, I have a hard time giving high marks to any grocery market other than HEB. That said, Winn Dixie has really impressed me when it comes to produce and meat, especially when compared (in quality and price) to Publix and (in price) to Whole Foods. I'm happy to have found a good place to get what we need at decent prices. read more

Have not been happy since Moe left. The place just is not the same. He made sure there were no mistakes and if something was wrong, he fixed it without questions. This new manager makes you feel like a criminal when you come back with a receipt showing you were charged wrong. I want an easy shopping experience. I don't want to have to remember the price of every item in my cart. I want to just shop and get charged correctly or not play games and be told I bought the wrong item when the sign was in the spot I picked up my item. If the sign is in the wrong spot or from last weeks sale, it is your fault and you should honor it. I also brought in a rain check that you mistakenly gave me on a discontinued item and then you said you would honor it on another similar item only to make a big deal out of it at the register when you thought I was getting too good of a deal. Thanks for being so loud and talking to other customers about "our deal" and making it look like we were stealing. You even said When Winn Dixie goes out of business we will be sorry. Really? Over two bottles of laundry detergent? I haven't been back since. Moe would never embarrass his customers and talk about us like we were not there. Publix has a better bakery anyway. read more

This Winn-Dixie is the Best in town. The only draw back, no one on the floor to help you, if you need help with finding something.
