I am making this review to talk about the publix pours cafe. I love that Publix has added this cafe as a new addition to their store. They offer craft drinks, smoothies, açaí bowls , and more. I recently went in to try the vanilla sweet cream cold brew. I have never been a cold brew girlie before this and they have changed me for the better. I decided to get a small at first because I didn't know if I would like it. And turns out I love it . It comes with cold brew vanilla sweet cream creamer and syrup. I opt for sugar free vanilla syrup and add Splenda to it cause i need some sweetness to it. Overall, the servers are really nice . I have tried a pina colada smoothie in the past which is really good. I also like that they are reasonable price. They do up charge for milk alternatives and I believe occasionally for extra syrup pumps. But I paid around $4.80 for the small and $5.30 for the medium. Overall a good deal. read more

I don't usually review Publix's, but this one is unique, in that it has a small Chinese takeout restaurant inside of it. I wouldn't say I frequent this place, but if I have a day off work, if it's a cheat day on my diet, and if my SO isn't also off, there is an 80% chance that I'm coming and getting a two meat platter with fried rice and an eggroll. The food is so good. It's not Michelin good or anything, but it's as good as any regular takeout place, and these guys really stuff the takeout box to the brim. I appreciate that very much. So anyway, the quality of the Publix is the standard quality of all other ones, and the prices are the standard too high, especially for the college kids that live nearby. But this little gem within makes it worth a small trip out of your way to try out this chicken and fried rice. read more

It should not take one person thirty minutes to get one Publix Chicken Tender Sub. The root cause of this issue is absolute disorganization and a complete lack of preparation. Having one employee apologize for the delay and ensure prompt surface makes the situation worse when the person is yelling in a monotone scripted condescending tone of voice as it they've said it a thousand times. Also, having the employee who's making subs in the back come out every five minutes to check if where still good while making a thumbs up gesture also makes things worse. No, I'm. It good, I've been waiting in a line with five people in front of me for twenty five minutes. Something is either seriously wrong with my math or this department is disorganized and unprepared. PS: The older lady who's usually at the middle station is an absolute sweetheart and should not have to deal with unnecessary chaos. Just make sure the department is properly staffed and that all ingredients and materials are stocked and within arms reach so that dedicated people like her can make shopping a pleasure. read more

Two words...Pub Sub! I was in Orlando for a business trip for about a week, and while I've thoroughly enjoyed the local restaurants I was craving a nice fresh sandwich and wanted to get some snacks for my flight home. I decided to hit up Publix for their famous Pub Sub and pick up a few other items. I did not order ahead, but luckily for me there was a very short line at the deli. Once I got in line it quickly grew to at least 10 deep. This was around 5 PM on a Thursday evening. I ordered the Italian Pub Sub with multi-grain bread and was able to add all my favorite fresh veggies. They actually have four different sandwich stations so they can help several people at one time which makes that long line go faster if you find yourself at the back of the line. The sandwich team was super friendly and helpful, as was everyone I encountered throughout the store. The experience was great and this was one of the best subs I've ever had and a whole foot long was only $8.99. If you are not feeling like having a sandwich, they also have other dinner options like chicken tenders, chicken, ribs, wings, and even a Chinese area where you can build meals for one or for a family. I especially loved how they cut my sandwich in half and wrapped them each individually. If you haven't had a Pub Sub, you need to go to Publix ASAP...you won't be disappointed! read more

This is my local Publix in the area. There has been improvement since we have moved in the area. However the meat area needs improvement. The prices can be a lot higher than other supermarkets. Staff has been more diverse which I love to see. Some staff members are welcoming, helpful and kind. read more

Publix is my go to supermarket ever since I moved to Orlando almost twenty years ago. There is a reason that Publix has grown and dominated the Southeastern region when it comes to supermarkets. They provide exceptional customer service, great BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals and we cannot forget their amazing subs, affectionately known as Pub Subs. This particular location does not garner as much foot traffic as other locations. Maybe it is a little off the beaten path, I guess. However, that can be both good and bad. They might not have as big of a variety as a few of the other locations, but again, there's never really a line. I would recommend a visit here. I would recommend a visit to any Publix. read more

This is my go to location for myself and for instacarting and yes college kids too! This is literally down the street from UCF. Anyways, I like that they have the sub station, the hot bar for chicken and sides plus the Chinese cuisine too! Their produce section has it's problems...their apples and bananas tend to be bruised, the chicken in the meat department is low or out of stock (most locations are though). The sub station is always BUSY either with people ordering or online orders, the hot fried chicken thing is usually stocked pretty well so the little order isn't as busy if you don't see what you want in the hot thing. The bakery has more items in my opinion and flavors! I got vegan cupcakes and this location had vanilla strawberry. The employees are usually helpful and nice; I've only had one 2 rude employees and they were from the meat department. The cashier and baggers are always friendly and chatty! :) read more

Do not shop here frequently as it is on the other side of town. We ordered 100+subs and salads per day (Thursday-Sunday). They handled the order with amazing ease and precision. It was not an easy task. The manager Chris provided amazing customer service and we will definitely be back for future trainings and special events for our department. Well done Publix. read more

If I could give this Publix less than 1 star I would. Our Publix closed for renovations so we are forced to use this one. This morning we had an issue but seem to have one many times. This morning was with the bakery. While waiting for the rolls we were told they'd be done in 30 minutes so we shopped got coldcuts which are ALWAYS wrong or have wax left on them or are cut too thick or aren't what we asked for at all we went back to the bakery 30 minutes later like the girl told us for the same girl to tell us they weren't even in the oven yet. Last week it was the ramen where literally 1 person is capable of making ramen. NOBODY else is able to take over when he is on break or out for the day. Never have I ever heard of something so ridiculous. This Publix is a joke and the caliber of service and people that work at Publix are drastically different than we've experienced in the past. I'm not sure what changed in their hiring but Publix is not our go to store any longer and it's sad because we use to love everything they stood for. Retrain your people, spot check your stores and see the lack of Customer service. It's disgusting read more

This review is only about one thing their meatball subs. It`s advertised as a homestyle meatball sub. Sounded good to me and its close to home. The problem arises one they ignored my daugther next in line and instead took an order behind her. Okay mistakes happen, I noticed they preparer went into the fridge and had a bag of meatballs in sauce premade. I think oh crap its going to be like subways thinking they sell a good steak sub they microwave.Yuck. Anyway the put the meatballs on a piece of paper lie it in the quickoven for 60 seconds, then they put it in a roll and ask if you want it heated more I say yes, as I didnt think it was heated enough. So back in 30-45 seconds. I get it home and its cold, the sauce is like ice.The sauce is also extremely sweet its overpowering. I shoved it in the microwave where it got hot on the outside and warm inside. Finally just threw out their great bread and ate the meat, the bread was mushy and cold. read more

Initially when I approached the bakery I was not acknowledge or greeted ,since they were helping another customer. However when another person finally saw that I was standing there, she assisted me graciously with a smile on her face. The cashiers wait in front waiting to attend to you . I don't usually shop at this Publix, but I noticed they have a much bigger hot food bar than the ones closer to me. I have never seen Ramen being served at Public before, so I thought I would try it. They offer chicken and pork belly for proteins, and your choice of Miso and Tonkatsu broths, both regular and spicy. They did not have pork when I ordered for some reason, so I was stuck with the Chicken Tonkatsu. Broth tasted like a flavor packet mixed with milk, noodles were over cooked, the egg was just regular hard boiled, and not runny at all, the mix-ins were just green onions and corn. The to-go packaging was great, wish I could say the same about the soup! Save your money and head a mile down the road in either direction to Rumaku Sushi or Domu Chibi. Neither will disappoint. Love how they have to mimic the cuisine of two small businesses in the same shopping plaza and serve Chinese food and Açaí bowls. What's the matter Publix, you don't have enough money? read more

What really sets this Publix apart from the rest is the expanded Deli. In addition to the standard deli counter and sub making area, there is a small section devoted to serving hot Chinese food. Once you've gotten your sandwich or Chinese food or whatever, there's a dedicated register around the corner where you can pay for it without going through the normal lines, and then a dining area with a couple dozen tables so you can eat your food there. It's separated enough from the main part of the store that you're not eating in front of scores of shoppers. I know, you may wonder why you'd ever want to eat in the grocery store itself, but I like it because I can get my beautiful Publix sub at a lunch break destination, rather than being required to go back to my desk to eat. There's free refills on the fountain sodas, and as with all Publixes (Publices?) there's always a sandwich on sale (they change it up every week I think). So that little deli/restaurant type area is what makes this location special. If you love Publix subs but you don't want to take it back with you, go here. Now, if you're one of the uninitiated when it comes to Publix subs, allow me to babble on for a bit. This is how good Publix subs are: I am an ex-Publix employee. I started working part-time at a Publix in South Florida at the age of 14, and worked there through the rest of middle school and high school, took a few months off when I started college and then transferred up to a local one (Mitchell Hammock), finally leaving the company when I graduated college. In all that time, I would maybe take my lunch break outside of the store once every couple of weeks at most. Otherwise, it was all Publix subs all the time. Seriously, I've eaten hundreds of them. Here's the thing: I've never gotten tired of them. I still crave them and I still get them occasionally. Like roast beef? Just like every other Publix, this place is great. They just finished some renovating, and have made the store look a bit more modern. This is also one of the few Publixes I've seen with a take out Chinese area. Since this location is fairly close to the University of Central Florida, it is mostly packed with college kids who are stopping in to get a sub or sandwich to take away. As always, great customer service from the staff, and a great selection of products to browse. One thing that does stand out to me about this particular location is that they have a bigger produce section than some of the others in the area and, oddly, a big selection of nuts you can buy per pound. read more

They have done a bit of remolding mostly to the sandwich area to accommodate all the college kids setting sub's, seems to be doing well. There is usually a long line to get lunch meats so my fiancé will stay in line and I'll get most of the other shopping done, hate lines, I do need to try out the pre ordering app they got. Check out is pretty quick, considering the location next to UCF probably because they have a lot of cashiers open and they are all quick while carrying on a conversation. The baggers are always nice a insist on taking out your groceries but will give way if you don't want help. Love the BOGO offers I usually find something worth getting. The guys at the seafood counter are great my fiancé gets crab legs a lot and they are always friendly and happy to help. Very clean and they have an area where you can get food and sit to eat, not all Publix have that. And a Redbox inside! read more

I will always be willing to pay a few dollars more to shop at Publix because they are just that much better. I am never stressed out after shopping there and I don't have to go to multiple stores to complete my shopping list. Everyone there is friendly and seems happy to work there. If I ever move away from Florida I will have serious Publix sub withdrawal. I also really like the sushi counter at this store. The chef is very friendly, and has even called out to me to say hello when passing by even when I am not ordering sushi. The pharmacy in this store is also excellent as well. I have really only used this location for the pharmacy and have HATED it every single time. On multiple occasions they have incorrectly ordered the medication I need. I am then forced to drive to another location with more competent employees or come back days later when they have corrected their mistake. I have made every attempt to help the process go smoother by making confirmation calls in advance and STILL I get there today and they have ordered the wrong thing. I now have to drive (yet again) to another location. You are reckless and incompetent and if the management knows the name of the ones causing the issues, I hope they do something about it soon. read more

After her orthodontic visit, my daughter explained she had been "dying for' Chinese food. So, we stopped into the Publix Deli; and, got a couple of lunches. I got the Bourbon Chicken and she got the General Tso's Chicken; we both got the egg roll; and, a little of both the rice and the lo mein noodles. We enjoyed our lunch immensely; and, learned where the Chinese condiments were only after we had finished eating. My daughter devoured her entire meal, while I took about half home. This is for the Publix supermarkets at Curry Ford Square. There is no listing found for this in yelp so I am putting my review on the nearest one. I was there today and again I was disappointed. There was no mojo pork left just the fat they were trying to sell. They were completely out of chicken. dark chicken meat. They did not have anyone cooking, the kid serving the food said he just got there. This Publix has been mismanaged for a long time now. The last time i was there they did not have blueberry glaze and the kid said he would order it and would call me when they have it. Never got a phone call. Only Baldwin Park I guess carries the glaze. At one point I bought fried chicken from this Publix and the chicken was still raw. The manager was nice enough to replace it. Just very badly run. They never have the supplies ready. I don't recommend anyone to go to the Publix at curry ford square. read more

I don't really prefer going to this Publix because it is always packed. It's right next to the University, so as you can imagine, it gets busy. I'll drive couple miles down the road to the one in Oviedo. Less busy and easier to find parking at peak times. Other than that, the employees are mostly college students.
