I was shocked. I left feeling violated and pissed off. I went back for another adjustment 3 days later as he was leaving for a trip the next day. I was getting better and wanted another adjustment. I also wanted to talk to him. After the adjustment I told him how uncomfortable I was with what he had done, and he tried to tell me that it was an adjustment! I was really disappointed that he made excuses and couldn't be honest that he was way out of line and had a problem. I obviously will not go back again.

The group offers private sessions, but prefers to operate through group classes with mini one on ones during the class. These classes put you with 9 other couples all due in the same month, and you spend the time learning about pregnancy, birth and parenthood while also building a support system of other parents and getting to know the midwives. The midwives themselves are an excellent team. They provided my husband and I with information about all options, while letting us know what their preferred methods were without judgement. For example, they supported me without exception for my planned medicated birth in the hospital. My actual delivery was done with midwife Allison Burback. She was amazing, and helped me through my son's unexpected early birth. She's an extremely knowledge midwife, but also a wonderful person who is easy to work with. Her and the other midwives also provided amazing support for me and my family during our post delivery hospital stay and then during all of our postpartum care. If you are looking for a midwife to help with your home birth or delivery at Surrey Memorial Hospital, I would highly recommend the midwives in this group.

At first I thought 3 midwives would be too many people but they were all essential to the process. They are on top of the medical side of things, they were able to coach me through some complications, administer an IV and stitches. They were so encouraging and helpful during the birth, stayed with me for hours afterwards to make sure we were both doing great, and even did a load of laundry! I woke up to clean clothes the next day : ) I can't recommend these ladies enough. Each of them are so compassionate and dedicated to their art. We came in for our regular appointments throughout her pregnancy until our little one arrived at 37 weeks, so we got to know the majority of the staff. From day one, everyone was genuinely kind, caring, and extremely professional. We also attended their birthing classes, and I have to give a huge shoutout to Molly, who taught them. She was absolutely amazing. She explained everything so clearly, gave us all the information we needed without pushing any particular path, and empowered us to make our own informed decisions. Those classes taught us so much that we walked into the birth feeling truly prepared and confident. I truly believe they played a major role in how smoothly everything went. When the big day came, Charlotte and Amy were the ones by our side. They were outstanding. As someone who grew up in a family of 8 where nearly everyone went into the medical field, I've been around professionals my whole life -- and I can spot the real deal. Charlotte, Amy, Molly, and the entire special delivery staff are true professionals who know exactly what they are doing, they made my wife feel safe, supported, and as comfortable as possible during labor. Their calm presence and expertise made all the difference. The facility itself is fantastic. The rooms are clean, organized, beautiful, and have that warm "homey" feeling that helps you relax. I am from California and All of my female friends gave birth at hospitals. My sister gave birth to a boy here and has been going there for check ups now. EVERYONE working here has been helpful before the birth; answer all my and my sisters question about baby, labor, preparation to welcome baby, etc During the labor; we got there around midnight. We called them and they were there ready. Professional nurse? With a lot of experience watch and log everything during the labor and the other one helped my sister gave a birth more easily ( constantly rubbing .. Checking.. Encouraging my sister) and after the birth of my nephew( answer all stupid questions(^^) we asked and give personal attention to the mommy and the baby. Absolutely recommend this place and I will definitely give birth to my baby if I live in seattle.( or look for midwives in California if there is any) What I realized from the whole experience of coming here and watching my sister give birth is that I don't need to go to a hospital to give birth. Both women so kind, so knowledgable and most importantly they clearly knew what they were doing! I had fabulous prenatal care and delivered a healthy baby boy one day before his due date.
