Dogs need to be on leash and please clean up after your pups.

It was until i got a herniated dish and couldn't walk too far that i decided to check this place out. HOLY COW. This place is the most serene, quiet, calm, clean mini park i have seen. There usually only one it two other people here when i go, and it's like having the park all to myself. It's so tiny, so as you are walking you can see the entire park in a circle. This really helped me mentally when i herniated my disk, so now i come here when I'm stressed and need a mental break! I love this kil secret park.

This is a cool area park with a hiking trail attached. Came…read morehere on a damp Saturday morning for quick hike. The park itself is in a residential area, across from a large apartment complex and has a playground and plenty of open field to run around. The trail head starts a few hundred feet from the parking lot, at the end of short loop there's a sign for Dorba trail. I didn't see as much signage when I first started so I wasn't sure where I was going. A few minutes in I ran into blue trail signage and things improved. I ended up transferring to red trail and finished on the black trail. I saw an area of the black trail marked "challenge" but I think that was just due to the tree roots above the ground surface. There are separate paths for bikers versus hikers which was nice, and I think this a great trail for beginners (little to no elevation or areas requiring scrambling) who want flat terrain that isn't too challenging. Also, nice for someone looking for something less populated. I only saw one other person while hiking for an hour. A-ok experience, and I'd visit again if in the area.

As far as hiking goes, it's "OK" and I would rate it as easy. There are a couple of *small*…read moreinclines along the trails, but like most of north Texas, 99% of the trails are flat and not rocky at all, so I would recommend this for all skill levels. There are a handful of loops you can try (all with exciting names such as Blue Trail, Red Trail, Yellow Trail). Depending on how creative you get, you can probably stretch the distance out to four miles. Some of the trails meander alongside a serene creek. It's maintained by DORBA, so it's obviously going to be biker friendly. However, these trails weren't overwhelmed with off-road Lance Armstrong wannabes the couple of times I have been out there. Although there isn't a lot of elevation change, there are plenty of twists and turns along the trails for the bikers. Speaking of which, there is a decent looking section that is just for bikers and it has some pretty sick looking dirt hills/ramps, etc. It really did look cool. Hikers should stay OUT of this area! The rest of the park: Limited parking lot, but you can park on the street if necessary (it's usually not crowded here). There's a covered pavilion near the parking lot with a handful of picnic tables, a playground and there are a few benches in the main park area. Enjoy getting outdoors folks!

This course makes good use of The limited elevation that they have. The challenge of the course comes in if you play it straight up (on/in and beyond creeks and sidewalks is o.b.). All in all it's a good place to get in a quick round.

VERY expansive network of trails with lots of water features (ponds, creeks) and options. Lots of…read moreducks, geese, and bird life in general. Often a red tailed hawk to be seen, and always egrets and herons. You can get in a lot of miles if you want to, and there are several different ways to do it - different forks in the path and lots of ways to vary it up on different days. Walker and biker friendly (although 100% paved). Bikers, please be courteous and alert walkers when you're coming up behind them ("On your left" is standard). Our family has done some of these trails too many times to count. Some people have pointed out that it's flat. It is mostly flat, unless you head towards the big hill next to the frisbee golf portion of the trail. But it's still an excellent network of trails that covers a LOT of territory. You could take the trails far enough north that you head to West Plano, I think. And they keep expanding south as well. I really have to credit Carrollton with doing a great job with these trails over the years. (We lived in Carrollton for 9 years and I miss being walking distance to the greenbelt.) Last note - I'm not a frisbee golfer. We've solely used the trails, not the disc golf course. (Some people have only focused on the disc course, whereas the entire greenbelt has MUCH more than that - as previously mentioned.)

For the most part the trails are decently maintained. They do have signs with trash bags that state "------". But you are not obligated to do so, just make sure to do your part and clean after your own mess. If you come during the colder months, there's less foot traffic therefore less garbage on the trails. There are signs along the path that shows the wildlife that you may see roaming around. Around the pond is an open area with picnic tables... which is perfect on warm summer days (make sure to bring plenty of bug spray). A portion of the trail opens up to a nice view of the Elm Fork Trinity River. Be careful not to fall down the steep cliff into the river because there is no guard rails in place. There is no entry free, but the path to the parking area is very steep so be careful if you have a lowered car or any sports car. Overall, a great park with decent trails!

MOST...People are friendly and always speak or nod their heads. Lots of people walk their dogs, but are respectful and have them on leashes. The grass is always cut and the greenery is peaceful. You can see ducks and turtles playing in the water. There is plenty of parking and the neighborhood is nice. I always feel happy and at peace when I walk around. It's fun walking around with friends or solo. This is definitely one of my favorites.
