She scheduled my MRI for me and when she got the results went over in detail all the issues. The most important thing is she sat down eye level with me, took her time to explain my results, used empathy skills and recommended next steps. Her assistant was very pleasant and made me feel at ease. The reception folks are pleasant and smile when you walk in. This office goes above and beyond what you see in most medical offices. Very professional the way health care used to be.

When I rescheduled, the next available appointment was more than two months away, possibly closer to three months. I waited all that time because my son has been having severe ear problems and needed to be seen. When I finally arrived for the rescheduled appointment, the front desk told me it had been canceled. I never received a phone call, voicemail, text message, or letter notifying me of the cancellation. When I later called the office, I was told that my chart showed they had called me. I explained that someone may have documented that a call was made, but I never actually received one. I regularly check my call log, return missed calls, and listen to my voicemail, so I would have known if someone had contacted me. To make matters worse, the front desk refused to reschedule my son's appointment in person and told me I had to call instead. After I called, I was informed that they were booked three months out and that after September they would no longer accept my insurance. I don't understand why the front desk couldn't have told me that while I was there. Now I have to go back to my son's primary care doctor to get another referral to a different specialist, causing even more delays in getting him the care he urgently needs for his severe ear problems. Overall, this experience was frustrating, unprofessional, and disappointing. Poor communication and a lack of concern for patients' time and medical needs made an already stressful situation much worse. I cannot recommend this office based on how our situation was handled

You definitely will need it here. My dad was assigned to Dr. Hasday. They took him to do a hearing test and that was not too bad. They got him in to do that and he even got to see Dr. Hasday the same day. The nurse/medical assistants were nice and helpful. We ran into some issues with the medical insurance needing more information, but the office got that info over to the insurance company as soon as they figured they wanted it. I talked to them and they did everything right, and quickly too. We got the hearing aids approved. We did not get the hearing aids through this office as they only do the medical part - The hearing aids had to be retrieved from a hearing aid dispensary. Dr. Hasday and his office was great. ENTs are in short supply, there's no great solution as far as getting good care quickly…read more I'd say this guy is top notch, the doctor himself gets 5 stars, it's just the office scheduling apparatus is confusing if you're a bit disorganized. Problems were really due to my own disorganization but if you aren't punctual and organized you'll have to reschedule. First off it took about 6-7 weeks to get an appointment, but this is actually good as I explain later. Apparently ENTs need an audiologist's report to have an objective chart of frequency/deficit relationships with your hearing. This takes an hour, too expensive for an MD to do--so this is done by an ancillary person-- audiologist -- who has to have a separate appointment with you. So you get two appointments. There are also two offices, one in Woodland and one in Davis and if you are get confused and go to the wrong place you'll be too late to make it to the other office and will have to make another appointment maybe a week later. Guess how I know. They do try to schedule you with the audiologist one hour before doctor at the same location so if everything goes smooth it's not a headache. So make sure you grasp not just WHEN but WHERE your appointment is, because if you google the phone number to get the appointment it's two layers, you get the referral service first who gets you on a separate call to the people who can actually tell you when and where your appointment is. And they might not remind you WHICH OFFICE your appointment is. It's definitely more clumsy than have a number getting you to a receptionist who directly looks things up. Zavod himself is great, obviously very smart, very polite but engaging with refined Old World manners. I guess the long time to get an appointment helps him from being overworked and burnt out. He takes time to thoroughly get your history and details, and the time to carefully and sympathetically explain everything. Other doctor's offices I've gone to have a crowded waiting room because they're doing a model where the MD spends the absolute minimum time to bill the service with you, tell you the general category of your diagnosis, and then the next patient is herded in. They are at best superficially genial and detached, and you can tell they are not really interested in medicine anymore. They aren't tuned into the nuances of your particular case which offer the opportunity to optimize treatment. Zavod's not like that, he seems to have his clinical curiosity and empathy intact. At one point I laughed when he was describing my moderately severe condition and he looked sort of shocked. I explained that the whole apparatus he was carefully explaining was sort of comical, and reassured him I took my condition seriously. He wanted me to take my case seriously because he himself did, which is a good ad for him. I only acted so weird because I'm sort of a Buddhist and the body is just a cloud floating by.
