I have to say these guys are great! My ac unit had finally reached its last life after 19 years. Through the years, my husband had changed some of the parts, which saved us a lot of money on repairs. About 6 months ago I had a company come out to put freon in it as it really wasn't cooling. He actually told me that it would stop working in 6 months, which it didn't-it just lost the freon. We thought is was the capacitor and my husband changed it-still no cold air. A work colleague gave me the number to Tom at Winter Air-I called him, he came out on the day of my scheduled appointment-he gave me a time frame and called me an hour prior to arriving. He showed up, checked for leaks and was honest to say that he couldn't find any leaks but the possibility did exist since it wasn't blowing cold air. He also explained to me that freon when there are no leaks always stays in the unit and cools. He check the unit thoroughly and couldn't find no other problems, except that my husband had put the electrical on the fan motor backwards and fixed it. He did tell me that the unit was old and that I should consider changing it-no pressure whatsoever-he gave me the price of a new unit, charged me for the freon and told me that if I decided to go with a new unit the charge for the freon would be deducted from the cost of the new unit. He also gave us a two year warranty. We knew it was time to change it and we made the decision right then and there. We scheduled the appoint for the following week-Tom, Tom and Dave came out the next week and in a matter of hours I had my new unit. They work fast and I couldn't have asked for three nicer, more polite guys with excellent customer service. Thanks Tom, Tom and Dave-we are finally two cool cucumbers. read more
