Petty. Unfortunately, our evening was ruined because the lady at the counter felt the need to be petty. We planned to do a family night with a few other families. About 14 total bowlers. When we arrived, we had planned to have 2 lanes considering the size of our group. So we had planned to occupy 2 if not 3 lanes. We had told the older lady at the counter the idea. In a very snotty tone, she said max 8 per lane and we have to fill 1 lane before you occupy another lane. We had 2 families there with 10 total brawlers since family 3 hadn't showed up yet. She said she couldn't give us the second lane until we had all 14 bowlers there. We said okay, if we could be next to each other. She then said we couldn't guarantee the lanes were next to each other. Now, lanes 6, 7, 8, 9 & 10 were unoccupied. So I thought we had a chance to get lanes next for an other. Tell me why, we conceded and she put 8 of our bowlers into lane 10, the party immediately behind us in lane 9 and our other lane behind them at lane 6.... She purposely separated our group... she could have simply put us next to eachother. She was very unhelpful and insisted she couldn't do anything. It completely ruined our family night idea. We all decided that we'd only bowl 1 game, because she put 4 families between our group making it hard to even enjoy the evening. We will vote with our wallets. We promptly left and our families will not be going back to Winter Garden Bowl because of this lady. The opposite of customer service. The place looks like it's stuck in 1993, the drop ceiling looks like it's melting from old age and this place was in need of a make over 10 years ago. There is such a need for a bowling spot in winter garden and this place does not care to make a positive environment for families to enjoy. It's quite sad. I'd rather overspend at Disney than come back here. read more

Have been looking for a bowling alley for some time and completely forgot we had this gem minutes from my house! Went on a Sunday and when I arrived they had a special running 7-10pm $17 per person all you can bowl! Needless to say, we knocked out 6 games lol. Fun, smaller bowling alley. Definitely gave me the small town 90's bowling atmosphere and I LOVED IT. Will definitely be back, had a great time! Staff was friendly and amazing as well. The only reason to give them even one star is the young man greeting people at the main desk who was very friendly and tried to be helpful. This alley is VERY dirty and needs a lot of maintenance. We went right at opening the other day. That means everything should be at its cleanest. Yet, there was NO toilet paper at all in the ladies room. (Luckily I had some Kleenex with me.) I told the young man at the desk and he said he would tell the manager. Well, ONE HOUR later, there was still NO toilet paper in the ladies restroom. I told the guy again who said he told the manager and she had told him she would take care of it. I pointed out she had not. Another woman at the counter who overheard our conversation, shook her head and told me they never use the restrooms there because they are always so dirty. The rugs are dirty, the floor is broken and missing pieces in many places, the balls are dirty and the bowling shoes stick to the floor. We had some issues during our games and reported them using the electronic pad AND by going up in person. Three times for one occurrence, they told us someone would take care of it. But they did not. And when we proceeded to keep bowling after waiting 15 minutes, the manager came and yelled at us for not reporting it. We told her we had brought the situation to them 3 times. She was not a nice person. She was also the one who had not brought the toilet paper out until after I complained the second time. We did notice there were a lot of people there. Many had younger children who were enjoying the dinosaur prop to roll their balls down the lane. Someone I talked to commented on it being close, being able to support a local business and cheaper prices. However, the condition of this bowling alley doesn't speak to its owners respecting the Winter Garden community that supports it. read more

We are back again this summer for kids bowl free and this time bought the family pass. Still a great place to have a couple hours of fun with the family. The negative reviews in here bother me because we love it here. But we are not looking for a high end fancy bowling alley if I wanted those I would go to them. This is a family owned and operated fun place of nostalgia. Everyone is always super friendly to us and you can see everyone working so hard on the place. The daughter was behind the counter helping everyone, while mom was restocking vending machine items. There was a gentleman (maybe dad) working on things with the lanes and an older gentleman was walking around constantly cleaning things. Does the place have wear and tear yes but honestly back in the 80's as a kid I remember bowling alleys showing their age then. And they were new. When we arrived it wasn't too busy but that changed quickly. The place was packed with happy family's having fun. Not one lane broke down while we were there. We always order a snack or food while we are here. This time we weren't too hungry so we got pictures of drinks and a basket of fries. The fries were so good. I don't think they are but it was like they were fresh cut and fried. They had a little bit of skin on them. Came out pipping hot. Perfect balance of crunch and then softness inside. We always have a great time. Of course we are not professional bowlers we just bowl for fun. Oh I have to add I know some people say it smells like urine in there. But I have a hyper sensitive nose and I just don't smell it. Usually I smell everything it's horrible. I have had to leave many places because of it. This place felt like a nostalgic trip back to the 1990s! Without the cigarette smoke everywhere. It's a bowling alley with 20 lanes 4 of the lanes have been unused with equipment on them. Hopefully it's all being used to possibly renovate this place because it's certainly showing it's age. Fair prices on games, they even turned it into a cosmic bowling night after 7pm. Great drink prices and it featured the woodchuck hard Cider! The food here is okay but it's really greasy. Bathrooms are okay. Parking can be pretty hectic but It's great that this bowling alley is alive and well. read more

Low review because we had multiple issues with the land we were on then they asked us to move so they could work on it but that new lane was bumpy and had multiple issues too. Annoyed that the staff didn't come ask the people bowling near us to follow the rules and keep their kids back. I had no clue this was in the area until I got an invite from my friend. We took a 3 year old for their first bowling experience and had a blast. This is an inexpensive bowling ally that reminds me of when I used to go with my parents. The ally was clean. Not one mess to be found. You can rent shoes and play by the game. There is a vending machine to buy socks if you forgot. Per usual there are various sized bowling balls to use. As well as the guards if you don't want to be a gutter ball bowler. The kiddos can also use a cute dino slide to assist in the fun. There are food and drink to order like pizza and fries. Sodas and water. You can also find a small arcade section to play games in like top golf or sky ball. All and all it is a fun stop. read more

My mom used to bring us here on Sundays when they had $.10 games in the 90s. The decor doesn't look like it has changed much but at least they don't do inside smoking anymore. Decent bowling alley, but not worth the price. This bowling alley is Very dated! . Not very sanitary, my daughters had a blast even the our lane we were out on continued to get jammed. Bathrooms were fowl, and the balls they have are coated in grease. The lanes are not evenly oiled and very spotty. Although we went on a Saturday it was busy but we didn't have to wait that's why we chose this bowling alley last minute. Would only return if they lowered their prices. This is coming after two times being there. We had a birthday party there and their service was awful. Received a lot of conflicting information but ended up making the most of it. Decided to come back to let our kids bowl and walked in at 10 and although there were a few lanes opened we were turned away because it was a league and no kids were allowed. This place absolutely sucks. Needs to be knocked down and replaced with something newer and modern. It's been here since I was a child. The lanes break down literally every 5 minutes and the only option is to move somewhere else when you're already comfortable where you are. I try to not be overly critical and nitpick in every instance or item when I give a review. But some things are just a must when it comes to customers and the fact that we can choose any place we feel we want to spend our money. I think businesses need to be in position to earn that not just get it as part of the status quo.. That being said, the very first thing I noticed is Customer Service and the person who was waiting on us, did not have much of a personality, upbeat, attitude, or basic general hospitality. I found myself not even wanting to ask for anything, and if I could have grabbed my own shoes and put the bumpers down myself, I prepared my own food I would not have even in his direction. I did see video games and a pool table. That would probably be fine and hopping if we had more time. I did see a Bar, so I'm believing that there's an opportunity for you to get your adult beverage if warranted. The area where the lanes are was pretty spacious, and they are seating barstools For those that are not currently in clay. The swivel chairs at the table were nice complement. There was a variety of ball selection and sizes with good finger holes as I have big hands. Shoes were clean restroom could probably use an upgrade. The food was as to be expected with a pizza, soda, mozzarella, sticks, and nachos. Not much to call Home about especially the cold marinara sauce. I went to this place with my family for a fun bowing day and i am very disappointed. The lanes kept breaking down, and we had to switch lanes 4 times. The food was mediocre at best. We ordered mozzarella sticks and the marinara sauce was freezing. On the sixth time our lane broke down, a man went down into the lane to fix the pins, and we got flashed by a middle aged man's butt. The place smelled like pee, and the bowing balls were bad and cut our fingers. I do not recommend this place. read more

This was my first time bowling at Winter Garden Bowl. It used to be called Carter Family Bowl and has been around for many years. The age shows in how many times the lanes broke down during the two games that we played. There were eight of us on two lanes and it took a little over two hours with one lane shutting down three times and the other lane 9 times. The person at the desk said that the machines are breaking down more often because of the cold weather. We planned on playing at least three games but grew bored with all of the repairs. As bad as the equipment was the staff was the direct opposite. Everyone was very pleasant to interact with and they made the overall experience good. In addition to bowling we ordered mini corn dogs, french fries, funnel fries and poppers. It was all convenience food of lower quality but it was served hot and priced cheap. The worst bowling alley I have ever been to. I grew up coming here and it's just gone down hill. It's obvious management doesn't care about the maintenance and cleanliness of the place. Over three lane changes because of malfunctions within the machine and management continued to laugh over our frustration. We were more than polite when it came to the mistakes but there was no humor in the way they handled the problems we encountered. We ended up leaving after a while because they just watched us struggle and wait for more than thirty minutes for our lane to get back up again. They just need to close down already. A solid 3. This place is a bowling alley that does what bowling alleys do - you bowl. There's some bar food I haven't tried and a rediculous amount of flashy arcade games there. Pros - Bowling! Friendly employees. They participate in the Kids Bowl Free program from April to August. I bring my 2 kids here for 2 free games a week all summer and pay a total of $20 so my wife and I can do the same. They still have to rent shoes for about $10.50 for the 3 of them, but basically 8 games of bowling a day for $10 total is great! They're the home of the local high school bowling team, go Olympia! Negatives - I hate the bowling alleys that 15 years ago split up the waiting area to sit people on one lane at a single table. They have this. Everything might be a bit older. Lane 5 doesn't have a 7-pin and hasn't for weeks. Other lanes seem permanently out of commission too which is a shame for a 20-lane place. The ceiling leeks in places and there are tons of ceiling tiles just missing allowing you to look up into the structure. It could use a refurbishment inside. read more

Hello. I have to say I have never been to an establishment with such a rude employee in my life! I came in and was asking Clair questions about Kids Bowl free. She had an attitude and at first I didn't say anything until she continued to have an attitude and then I said you could be a little nice about it. She said something else (can't remember) and then I told her she was having an attitude. Then she started having an even bigger attitude. Finally I asked her if I could speak to a manager and she said no you can't. I said ok then ill call. She stormed off and got the male manager on duty which is believe his name is Jay. He apologized but didn't seem phased by it... I know he was busy with lanes breaking all the time. I asked if he could help me because i didnt want Clair to. A really nice girl ended up helping me named Brianna. As I walked away to go to my lane with my 10, 7, and 4 year old she called me a stupid bitch and I just ignored her. I am appalled by the type of people that they allow to work there. Then I messaged them on fb and I received a generic thank you response. Over a week later I asked if they could let me know when and if it was received. They said it was. I said thank you and asked if it was management or owner and they looked at message and didn't respond This place is garbage. read more

I'm personally not impressed by the new, touristy and expensive bowling options we have and this bowling alley was a breath of fresh air. don't waste your time here. they don't keep up with maintenance or cleaning. it's gross. we were given a lane and the table wasn't cleaned and the floor was messy. plus the lane didn't have all the pins. then when you tell them there's an issue, they take forever when they could've simply fixed the issue before instead of waiting for someone to complain. we had an issue with three different lanes back to back. it's insane. get a grip. don't even want to give a refund on a lane because we played a few rounds (not even halfway through) as if we planned for it to breakdown. my first negative review so that says a lot. places aren't usually bad enough for me to leave a review but i must this time. read more

This place is a dump! The lady with the glasses and messy hair running the counter is unfriendly and couldn't careless about anything. She was rude and very combative. She should be fired. The lanes are uneven, there are huge warps in the wood that make it hard to bowl. Not to mention the constant breakdown of the pin racks that when asked to be fixed, seemed like an inconvenience. The available balls were very worn down and hurt several people in our party of 8. When paying almost $200 for 2 games of bowling, you expect a certain level of professionalism and at least working lanes. This place needs a complete renovation. Attended a fundraising event here. It is your typical "old school" bowling alley. I found this bowling alley to be a bit smaller than some others I have visited in the area, with maybe about 15 lanes. They serve typical bowling alley fare, if you are in need of a snack. Parking can be tight. The event I was attending used all the lanes and parking was at a premium! It looked like there was one overflow lot people could use, but a point was also made NOT to park in the church parking lot next door. read more

Came here last week after we decided to forego our travel softball practice and surprise the girls with a fun night of bowling instead. We walked in with 25 people and were able to get 3 lanes right away. The staff was super friendly and were very accommodating to our party. It was Monday night and $1.50 games, $1.50 beers and hotdogs, and $1 popcorn. WOW!!! The girls had a great time bowling and the parents loved to see them bonding off the field. Great place to go do some bowling. Their equipment is a little aged. They are doing their best to keep it up. In fact any problem at all they are quick to fix it.
