I booked my condo through the Windham website which showed the special deal of buy two nights get one free which was super nice! They also have discounted lift tickets - $130pp on the weekends and $60 pp during the week, which saves you a lot of money versus getting them directly on Windhams website. The rooms are a typical mountain house stay. We chose to upgrade to the condo to have a kitchen area. The balcony was a nice surprise! The only downside is when you first check in, the room is extremely freezing. House keeping doesn't leave the heat on. Also the main heat vent was slow and felt weak, but we noticed there was a manually heater that we can turn on that was on the wall near the kitchen. The hotel was about a 5 minute drive to the slopes and a couple minutes to downtown. If I come back I'll definitely stay here again! read more

We had a nice stay here, but didn't love our room. We stayed in an inn room, not a condo. When we checked in, the person working at the front desk was very kind and helped show us where to find out room. The room was cute, with a pretty green paint on the wall and a Buffalo plaid chair in the corner. However it was very dark. The overhead light was not effective at lighting the room. The only window was small and we could not leave it open for most of the time m because it was next to a walkway and people would've been able to see into our room. The shade was a blackout shade, so when we woke up in the morning we had no idea what time it was or if it was light outside. It was nice that our room had a mini fridge, which I didn't see listed online. The tv was mounted in a high up corner, which wasn't ideal but it worked fine. I liked that the lamps on the bed side tables had outlets so I could charge my phone, but when I turned the light switch off my phone stopped charging. There was a nook between the bedroom with some wooden pegs at around waist height to hang things on, but I wish there was a proper closet or higher hooks to hang our clothes on. I also would've liked if there was some more seating, such as a couch or an additional chair. The bed also only had 3 pillows. The 10am check out time was not ideal, but we managed. Overall, this wasn't the most comfortable accommodation, but the location was convenient and I think it would work well if you have a busy weekend and just need a place to sleep. read more

A surprising delight. We came here for a one night stay during a two day ski trip. It was unexpectedly much nicer that we expected. We stayed in room 210 which was HUGE... two queen size beds and a sofa. Bathrooms are a bit dated, but clean and well stocked. We were lazy and decided to "eat in" at their restaurant and were surprised by how nice It was. They had a large menu, enough to make anybody happy, at reasonable prices. The staff was exceptionally attentive and came over several times to make sure we were happy. Great find and I would return. read more

I had a horrible experience here. We were so excited for this trip, and all the pictures of the hotel looked so nice, the room that my family and friends got was a presidential suite. A two bedroom room with two bathrooms, a kitchen and a little living area with a pull out couch so it was meant for 5 or 6 people. But the first night there we had a an ant infestation, which we ignored and they took care of but it definitely made us feel a little uncomfortable and it made us question about this place. Then we slept fine and the next day we came back from skiing at Windham and everything was going well until my daughter and my niece were hearing weird sounds coming from the wall in their bedroom. We see a little arm coming out of a hole from behind our nightstand, we started taking videos because there was an animal somewhere in this place. We were concerned and called the front desk, they let us change our room but everything was so chaotic we had to pack our bags and we had to leave into a smaller room. We had food in the fridge that we had to pack and throw out because our other room had no kitchen. we talked to the manager and you wouldn't believe the nasty comments she gave me and my family. Giving us racial comments and calling us greedy for the money that we want back. And it wasn't only those animal infestation we had but it's also problems with the hot water randomly in the shower. we would be showering with steaming, hot water and then freezing cold water, leaving us with burnt skin. We always have the Winwood Inn and Condominiums in mind whenever we plan to have a ski vacation at Windham. The condominium unit that we booked can comfortably fit 4 people, it is equipped with a living and dining area and a fully functional kitchenette. The property is owned and operated by the Windham mountain ski resort Co. If you come to visit this town to ski, this place is probably perfect accommodation for you since its proximity to the mountain is about 20 minutes by walking. Although a daily shuttle runs hourly to and from the mountain. There is a Mexican restaurant adjacent to the hotel that serves complementary continental breakfast from 6:00 am to 10:00 am daily. It was also very convenient especially on Christmas Day when all else in town is closed. The private Movie theater with velvet seating is probably one of the best amenities here. Most of the films shown are PG rated (wholesome and ideal for the whole family). I am in love at Winwood Inn. The staff are really awesome. I will definitely visit this place in the summer. read more

I don't ever leave reviews but people should be warned about this place. It is so unfortunate that we had such a negative experience here because the location is stunning and has incredible potential. We were staying here recently and these are the issues we encountered (brace yourself): 1. If you are on the 2nd or 3rd floors of the inn, the only way up is on steep stairs with no lighting and dirty/musty carpet. 2. Our room was on an incline so going from the bed to the bathroom was literally up hill! 3. The bed was almost on the floor and hard as a rock; I think sleeping on uneven gravel may have been more comfortable (that was after quite a few drinks as well). 4. The shower water smelled musty so don't count on feeling clean during your stay. 5. The room had no fridge, iron, microwave, or coffee maker. 6. Checkout is at 10AM (way too early, especially given that they don't appear to ever clean the place) 7. The pictures on the website are a gross misrepresentation of the establishment and it appears that they take advantage of patrons coming to town for weddings that don't really have other lodging options. The staff were friendly and the location is breath taking but this inn needs serious renovation. Would not ever stay here again! read more

We left the front desk guy didn't even ask why we were leaving just that we still had to pay. Then, they charged me twice. After speaking to a supervisor two days later I received a partial refund. We just spent a week at the wind wood Inn condos and loved it. In our one bedroom room there was everything we needed. Clean, with very nice furniture and lovely patio. We enjoyed the heated pool in the middle of nature. There is a small supermarket just 3 min walking distance so we bought food and cooked using the lovely kitchenette. read more

During our three night stay we found the Winwood Inn to be mediocre at best. There were several bugs in our condo, a distinct musty smell, and our "air conditioners" were simply fans on the wall, that did not change a degree despite any amount of manipulating, which in my opinion is criminal to do to people. We stayed during a heat wave and "oh it's not getting cool enough? Let me see if I can get someone over there", and no one ever shows, is just insulting and gross. We had to sleep without blankets and cold compresses to get through the night. I would love to know why these people are doing what they're doing. Just sell this establishment to someone who truly loves the hospitality business and will gladly accommodate their customer's meager needs like tolerable temperatures and cleanliness. Anyway, the two stars belong to the awesome pool and adjoining restaurant. This place is a puzzling representation of a multi million dollar ski resort. read more

We arrived at Winwood Inn on 7/6/19 at 3pm. We were told that our room was not ready because they had a wedding the night before whose guests overstayed past check out. As we were there for a wedding ourselves and needed to get ready for 4pm, we were very concerned about the lack of available rooms. The lobby was full of people waiting for a room. The front desk staff said it would be "quite a while before a room was available" and that I should talk to a manager because she had been there since 7am and was tired. We spoke with a manager who said she could have a room ready in 10 minutes. While we were waiting, we heard staff offer another couple the option to shower and change in a room that hadn't been cleaned yet (disgusting, they declined). When I returned to the front desk 10 minutes later, I was again told that the receptionist had been there since 7am, was tired, and feels that the hotel should not accommodate back to back weddings. She had no recollection of our previous conversation, so after giving her my info again, I was finally given a room key. To get to our room, we had to climb a dark, dirty staircase with filthy carpet. When we arrived in room 301, which was dated and musty, I pulled back the bed sheets to find that the box spring cover was covered in what looked like dried blood. We immediately left the room and returned to the front desk where we yet again heard about the grueling hotel schedule for staff. I demanded a refund, as I suspect the hotel had bed bugs. The receptionist said, "Oh, but we were just exterminated." At that point, several people began demanding refunds. The manager asked me to text her the attached photo and said it wasn't bed bugs. Regardless, it's disgusting and I would never sleep in that bed or in that hotel. Many of the wedding guests ended up getting washing and dressing in the bathroom of the attached restaurant. While this was going on, the receptionist came in to the bathroom to tell us she was finally off shift and that we should enjoy the wedding and not worry about writing a review for the hotel because they had a clean inspection from their exterminator. The Windwood Inn was a somewhat pleasant experience. The Hotel was located in town which was convenient for some restaurants and small things to such as shopping. The Windwood Inn is NOT located on Wyndham Mountain as some of the websites have described it. However, it is only a 2-3 Minute drive which isn't such a big deal. I will break my review into Room, Service, Dining, and Miscellaneous. Room: The Queen Size room that I was originally put into was clean, with minor dirt and dust on the walls. It came with a 23-30" flat screen tv on the wall and a small bathroom. It also had a porch deck to sit down and relax (Maybe in the Spring, Fall or Summer) The King Size room that I was then put into due to having 2 other individuals with me was a lot nicer. It came with a Couch that was a pull out, 1 flat screen tv in each room, and the same size bathroom I had in the Queen Room. The room was very clean, however the shower curtains had mold on them. The Thermostat was on point until it went haywire and kept getting hotter and hotter - Which I balanced the temperature with the AC Unit! Overall: Decent Service: When first arriving during the noon time I asked if I could upgrade to a bigger room due to having more than one person with me and didn't think it be a big issue - At first, it wasn't. The lady told me it was no problem and that I could come back later to check in. Later that day (5:00), I checked in walked into my room - it was the wrong room. After being exhausted from snowboarding, I was very disappointed in their lack of commitment. I called the front desk 5x until finally someone answered. The lady gave me the run around about how that's impossible and that she called the lady from earlier who said she said no such thing. Listen, I don't like liars. I am in the business of Sales and Customer Service - I don't appreciate someone in which I AM THE CUSTOMER a liar. I had to call back another 5-7x to finally get an answer if they could move me. The manager which is an elderly lady with black hair (butchy looking) was very aggressive and mean to me. I am not 15 years old, I am a grown adult - do your job and respect your customers. The other desk people minus the 2 incompetent ones were very pleasant. Overall: Mediocre Dining: The Mexican Restaurant that was attached to the Windwood Inn was quite impressive. You did have some locals that hugged around the bar, but they were all respectful and very nice. The waitress was very accommodating and attentive. She left the water pitcher with us instead of going back and forth and also came around very often to make sure we didn't need anything else. The wings as appetizers were very well cooked and delicious. I would do them again, no questions asked. As for the entrees, all delicious. I recommend the steak fajitas which were cooked medium rare as asked. Miscellaneous: I'll keep this section short and simple. Wyndham Mountain was a great place to ski and snowboard. The patrol checked up on us regularly when we fell to make sure were okay (First time in 10 years). The staff were all nice and knew what they were talking about. The Diner by Windwood Inn wasn't a great experience. They do not take credit card and I had to drive to a gas station to take out money. The heavy set guy running the place was a meatball. The food was mediocre. My brother had to send back his egg sandwich because they didn't know what over-easy meant. My scrambled eggs with cheese was burnt and the toast tasted like cardboard. My girlfriend didn't like her eggs as well. The food was pricey for something in which it wasn't. I don't mind paying higher prices for food - just cook it the right way! In the end, we still had a great time! I make the best of things until I get back home to settle down in my cozy bed and write a full review. Hope this helps everyone. Cheers. read more

More cons than pros i can list for this hotel. I only gave them 2 stars instead of 1 because the staff was super nice. The AC didnt work and the girl at the desk said the maintenance guy went home and to open the window. The sink was broken, the shower water trickled out and had no pressure, NO ELEVATORS, if you want ice you have to go to restaurant, the bed was like a soft floor,... I have stayed here three times over the past five years & each visit has been satisfying. It is close to everything & has very good customer service. The Mexican restaurant is also good. It is very family friendly and we look forward to our next stay. One of our only complaints is that the televisions in the rooms need to be updated. This is the same property as the Winwood Inn. Windham is one of the nicer towns in the area. The staff here are all helpful and nice. Front facing rooms have a mountain view but are also noisy with street noise and paper thin walls / floors. Continental breakfast is a joke and not a selling point. Our room had the most uncomfortable bed we have ever experienced in a hotel. Sheets and towels are not changed unless requested.. not uncommon in hotels nowadays but our towels were literally ripped. Not worn, but ripped. Lots of noise from the road and other rooms. Carpets in halls and common areas are visibly gray with dirt and desperately need a steam clean. Lobby sitting area was dark and cold all weekend with fireplace and TV OFF. Maybe guests were not welcome to relax? Restaurant food was not a good imitation of Tex Mex... we ordered dishes we regularly have at home and the flavors are way off. Restaurant service is good though. Long story short we will stay elsewhere next time. If you are used to lodging in Colorado or other ski regions outside of fading borscht belt areas, you will be disappointed here. This property is owned by Windham Mountain and needs a major update. However, Windham itself is great and don't be discouraged from visiting and skiing. Tip: the mountain has very easy parking so the shuttle really is not a deal breaker! read more

I stayed at the Winwood Inn this weekend for a wedding. We stayed in the handicap accessible room because it was the only room left that wasn't a suite. The quality of the room wasn't anywhere near what the price was. Especially for the off season. The room looked and felt more like a $70/night motel than a $125/night hotel room. There was no iron and no ironing board. They had to be requested from the front desk and it took them over an hour to get delivered to my room, after I needed them. There was also no accessible ice machine. Ice had to be gotten from the front desk. We didn't complain about our room because we knew the whole hotel was booked for guests of the wedding. The front desk attendant, while quick at checking us in, did not provide any information to us what-so-ever. She didn't inform us there was a complimentary breakfast or about any other amenities of our stay. In the room the carpet was dirty, the dresser drawers didn't open fully, there was mold and mildew in the shower, the bath towels were tiny,and the soap dispenser was falling off the wall. I saw inside other hotel rooms in the other buildings which looked nicer. Our room was also located behind the Mexican restaurant attached the hotel and the rumbling of the kitchen fans and machines were audible through the room to our wall all throughout the night. I wouldn't have stayed here if it weren't for the wedding. If you do have to stay here definitely get one of the condos/suites because they seemed much cleaner. Definitely over priced. read more

At first I requested a refrigerator put in my room. I got there and discovered I was charged for one but I didn't get it. "They forgot". There was nobody there to bring it up. The air conditioner didnt work. I asked to be upgraded. The girl at the front desk was new and had no clue how to handle the situation. We upgraded to the 2 bedroom condo. It was nice spacious and comfy. The bathtub had hair in it in one of the rooms. The counter tops and kitchen table were very sticky along with the kitchen sink faucet and the bathroom. Bedding was dirty. The housekeeping didn't sweep our bathroom the next day. NO WIFI! Apparently I was the only one that complained about that. Overall it's a nice quiet location but I wouldn't go back. Definitely not worth the price I paid. The complimentary breakfast was nothing but frozen bagels and danishes. And why the hell is checkout at 10am??! Even the holiday inn doesn't give that early of a checkout! read more

We stayed here last weekend for a wedding at the top of the mountain. We were booked on the second floor and I was surprised that there were no elevators. I have a very bad knee and explained this and was told the first floor was booked. We went to our room which was at the very farthest area from the stairs and there was another deep step right inside the door-and even with a sign on the door I stumbled down there more than once. The room was clean but sparce with only one night stand and light near the bed. My husband had to put his glasses on the floor at night. The floor was very crooked. There were lights outside shining on the building and the shades were thin and pale and it was too bright to sleep well. The first morning I went down for coffee and the lid popped off when I tried to put it down to open the door. The hot coffee splashed on my hand and spilled on the hall rug. I went to the desk and apologized and they said someone would come and clean it up, but they left it there all weekend. PLEASE READ IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO STAY AT THE WINDWOOD INN AND CONDOS!!! The Windwood Inn was not the greatest experience. First off, the hotel charged us $1500 for four people and they promised us two rooms, a living room and a kitchen, which they did not provide. Yes there were two beds but one of them was a pullout sofa which was crazy uncomfortable and the other bed could not have been smaller. One of the "bedrooms" provided was cramped up in the same room as the kitchen, living room and dining room, with absolutely no space to store anything. When trying to make our sofa bed we had to move every single piece of furniture around because they had been placed inconveniently. It was pure stupidity. The hotel only gave us one thin blanket, linens and two pillows for the sofa bed which was meant for two, and it was the middle of the winter. The ac's were also set to a certain temperature and it was either boiling all night long or absolutely freezing. In general, the rooms were crappy, dirty and quite disgusting. The carpet was dusty and the sofa and bed was full of stains from previous visitors. Before leaving the hotel for a day out, we had made our sofa bed, when we came back we could not believe our eyes! The housekeeping did not make our main bed because there was a cellphone on it... bullshit. The linens for the sofa bed were not folded and the towels were like the way we left them. They did not take any dirty plates or cups or any piece of trash. It was a complete disgrace. Every single piece of furniture in the room seemed like it could have collapsed at any second, and one of them actually did and WE had to fix it. The package we bought included breakfast and it was no surprise why. What they offered was, pre-made and packaged muffins, three different types of cereal, shitty coffee, and apples (on paper plates). The wifi basically didn't work because so many people were on it. The lobby was dark, sad and depressing and once again the furniture was dirty. The walls and floors were thin and you could literally here everything. When we went downstairs to the play room/ gym we had to pay to play with any arcade game, pool, or ping pong... as if the hotel wasn't a complete ripoff already. Finally, for three people to ski for three days in the Wimdham mountains we had to pay $1075. They were crowded and frankly not the best place to ski. In conclusion, the whole experience felt cheap, and was a complete rip off. NOT RECOMMEND. read more
