I have spent two days trying to open an…read moreaccount with T-Mobile to order a phone, and a line transferred from my current provider. I tried doing this on their website and when I poked "place order" the app, i get an "Oops, there's a technical issue. Services we use to display this content aren't working right now. Try again later or call support at 1800 T-Mobile. It went downhill from there. Everytime I called or online chatted, I'd be transferred back and forth and have to explain each time the entire details of the order all over again from the start with each new person I spoke to or chatted with. They had cancelled the order, and explained that when an order was cancelled, all the data was discarded, including all chats and phone conversations. I had to do this over 15 times! I was asked my pincode over 25 times! My current address, phone number, my name, last four digits of my ss number, my age, what phone I wanted, my credit card number, my full SS number, my shipping preference,...etc. over and over. Late on the second day after four hours they said I had to go to a t-mobile store so that they can verify my identity. I knew this wasn't going to go well, and I was right. I entered the store and was greeted by a young man who had no idea what I was asking for, or how to actually do it. When I wasn't getting through to him, and getting frustrated, he clammed up and refused to speak with me. The other young man working there left to go in the back. So I called T-mobile and explained the situation the woman wanted to speak to him, but he refused, so I asked her to call the store, and when she called, a manager that was hiding in the back came out, and checked my ids, and entered it in and I thought we were done, when he started asking me once again to provide him with everything all over again!! He explained once again that now I was stuck with him now and couldn't go back home to finish with the people who directed me to go to the store and just get my identity verified as the last step required to place the order they had all set up. That was the last straw. How can T-mobile be so intent to alienate a new customer!?! I went over there in the pouring rain and that's how you treat me!? I announced as I was leaving that this was the worst customer service EVER!!!

I wonder if they are trained at all. The difference between this and the Deer Park store is night and day. Inasmuch as ratings are comparisons rather than absolute grades -- you can give 5 stars to your favorite taqueria, but feel that a well respected Michelin rated restaurant is a bit disappointing and give them 4. So, compared to a real AT&T establishment only a couple miles down Rand Road, THERE IS NO REASON TO GO HERE, EVER. Upon consideration : One Star.) Generally, I only write One-star reviews when patronizing an establishment is likely to cause food poisoning, or is otherwise completely unacceptable. By those criteria this place slips in with 2 stars. Barely. The personnel seem to have no concept of customer service, and are either clueless as to AT&T voice/data packages, or just too uninterested to listen to a question about a change AT&T had made to my plan. He was fiddling with a phone, and when I said I'd wait until he'd finished, he said he was helping someone else. There was one other party in the store, but someone was waiting on them. Suggestion: if you actually ARE helping someone (visible or invisible), it might be a good idea to say something like: Someone will be with you in a moment rather than give them a fragment of your attention.

It was great. Fast and friendly service. And they offered to set me up on a better plan than I had…read morebefore.

Here are my thots: -Very easy to see what time slots are available and make appointment. -When I arrived, I looked around and there were no lines or signs, just a ton of people milling around. It took me 5 minutes to figure out how to register. -They told me to go sit at a table and someone would come by and help me. I began to wonder when I watched others walk in and immediately get help. -But, lo and behold, about 30 seconds before my appointment was scheduled to begin, an associate came over to help me. -She was energetic, friendly, well prepared, and knowledgeable! Jazmyne knew my name and the problem with my phone. -She took one look at it and said, "Your camera might not be broken!" She came back 10 minutes later with the broken lens cover and told me where I could get a replacement. -As I was waiting for my appointment to begin another associate was teaching a class on Apple Intelligence--very helpful! Highly recommended!!

To start, I'm not a big Apple guy, so you should go ahead and skip to another review. ;-)…read more Imma try to be very objective about my experience at this particular location. I do have to visit Apple stores occasionally because of the ol' lady. Some are better than others, but my experience at this particular location was mixed. I had to visit twice. Both times, I did not care at all for the intake process. There was nobody greeting you, and by the time I seeked out a person with a nametag and an iPad, she looked like she wanted to avoid me and go home. The girl who ended up helping me to answer my questions was more hospitable. After hearing my situation, she explained that I would need to bring my faulty device in order for them to put it thru Genius replacement program of sorts, giving me a decent amount of discount on a replacement device. So, I returned home happy. I decided to go next to the shop in Woodfield mall, where they ended up placing an order for the replacement to arrive at the Deer Park location. This is when I had to visit the second time. Now, I confess. It was super close to their closing hours when I arrived to pick up the device. But I don't believe it should be a reason to not greet you and give you the feeling of being rushed. It's my personal feeling towards a service oriented shops. If I can help it, I would not come back to either of the two Apple shops I've been to recently, but I'm sure there will be times I would have to bite the bullet and do so, only because I don't want to drive unnecessary amount to try to find a better store...
