I am so thankful for this place and the staff! On one of my hardest days when I laid my dog of 11 years to rest, they were such a source of comfort. I could barely talk without crying and they just took my hand and guided me through everything. I must've met 8 of the staff during my time there and all of them were absolutely amazing and comforting. I am so grateful that they made this heart wrenching day a little easier. If I could kiss and hug every one of them I would! Thank y'all from the bottom of my heart!

They did really great with a very hard situation. Our family dog passed away in the night and we needed to bring her body for cremation and they were there to help from start to finish. I called and was able to bring her right in which was a huge bonus as her owner was extremely distraught and I did not want to leave her body in his room the entire night and then have my kiddo witness her being carried out. It was about 1am when we left to drop her off. The person that met us is who I spoke to on the phone and she was very kind and compassionate and helped walk us both through the process with minimal work or paperwork. Cost for cremation was very reasonable and they were extremely patient with her remains being picked up. As you may imagine the family had suffered a great loss of a dog that we had loved for 11 years and her owner took weeks to go back and pick her up due to depression. It was hard on him most of all so for these kind folks to wait and hold her remains for weeks was a real blessing as it allowed him to cope with that process more. I am very thankful they allowed him that extra time. The remains were put in a beautiful box with her paw print and while we still miss her, and he is still quite hurt over her loss, this was one of the least painful parts of the whole process and I will forever be grateful to them. I cannot speak to other services they offer as ours was an emergent situation in the middle of the night and required a lot of hand holding and understanding.

Responsive and caring. They know how to calm the fur parent down too. Prices are very fair as well.

Took great care of my dog with a rattlesnake bite! I would give 5 stars, but every little thing added up and cost more than we expected.

Unfortunately, our experience at the new facility last night was completely different. We brought our 5-month-old Doberman to the emergency clinic around 10:00 PM after he suddenly showed weakness in his back legs. I carried him in. Despite this, about 20 minutes later staff walked him back to me in the waiting room and asked me to remove his ear post because the doctor said she was uncomfortable doing it herself. After another 30 minutes, the doctor entered and asked the exact same questions we had already answered twice. When I pointed that out, her demeanor noticeably changed. She immediately began discussing genetic conditions, CT scans, MRIs, and surgery--without first performing or even proposing basic diagnostics such as an X-ray. When I asked whether an X-ray had been done, she responded sharply that she hadn't obtained my approval, despite never mentioning or quoting one. At that point, I declined further services and carried our puppy out. Thankfully, he is fine today. We followed up with our regular veterinarian of nearly 20 years, who agreed that monitoring for additional symptoms was the appropriate next step. I fully understand concerns around backyard breeding and puppy mills. However, we purchased our dog from a well-established, reputable breeder, and the judgment we experienced for owning a cropped-ear Doberman was unprofessional and unwarranted--especially during an emergency visit. Based on this experience, I would recommend considering other local emergency clinics. In fact, we stopped by a newly opened ER in Prosper on our way home and were treated far more appropriately.

In a stressful situation, their calm and caring approach made all the difference. Dr. Laura Watson was absolutely phenomenal. She took her time, explained everything in clear, layman's terms, and made sure I understood every step of my dog's care. Most importantly, she genuinely cared. You could feel it. Her compassion and kindness truly stood out. I honestly wish human healthcare providers and physicians were as compassionate and kind as the team at this clinic. VEG is truly a one-stop shop -- assessment, imaging, labs, and even boarding if your fur baby requires continued monitoring. That level of comprehensive care provides such peace of mind. Parking is conveniently located right in front, which is so helpful during an emergency. They also offer multiple affordable payment options, which makes high-quality care accessible and less overwhelming. If your pet ever needs emergency care, this is the place you want to be. They treat your pet like family.

It was wonderful. We were seen quickly in a separate room but the experience wasn't any different. Even though our kitty is sweet, she is semi-feral but they wired magic with her calming her down and allowing them to look her over. She was taken care of and diagnosed as well as sent home with medicine to be able to get in to see her regular doctor in several days. Thank you so, so much to Cecilia, Jane and Dr. Lefflel, for helping our kitty Google! You are all so amazing!!!

Everyone seemed very eager to help and made th process smoothe. We liked the open concept because we were able to see the care provided not only to our dog but to the other pets as well. All of the staff worked as such a great team, and the communication between them seemed flawless. We were seen by Dr. Majors, and our tech was Hannah. Both of them were very reassuring and treated Florence like their own. VEG is a very pet family oriented vet, seeing us as a whole and not just a couple people with an animal. When it came time for the price, we were met with such nice transparency, and the DVM was honest with what she recommended and did not try to make us agree to anything that was unnecessary while also making sure we had the option to take all the tests if we so desired. I would absolutely recommend this emergency vet. We have been to another in Carrollton which did not come close to the level of care we experienced here. Thank you!

Although I kept repeating that this is not a foreign body as this is the 3rd time it's happened in the last 6 months! They weren't listening to anything that I said! No compassion. No warmth. No answers! They threw a bill in my face before even discussing a plan! I had to pay in advance for treatments that hadn't been done and didn't even start for about an hour into the visit! Was there for 6+ hours to have everything blamed on how long the radiologist was taking. Personal conversations complaining about clients, vet techs using their phones while patients needed attending to, eating their food next to the triage table! At the end of my 1,500 visit I had more concerns for my kitty than I did before I even walked in the door. When it was come time to be discharged the tech that was assisting us left without letting anyone know what was going on and they just looked really dysfunctional. The doctor didn't even acknowledge us as we walk out. Not even a you're welcome to our thank you! Unprofessional, unorganized, no compassion or care about the clients or patients. I would never recommend this hospital even if it was the last place on earth! Update: Two days later. Called and spoke to Cheyenne about our experience. Felt heard, felt compassion and felt true concern about myself and my kitty. She advised she would call me back. Instead Dr. Hoge called me back and was very apologetic and showed a great deal of concern for our experience. I believe that the team we had this horrific encounter with creates a bad name for this ER and for the veterinary field as a whole. I appreciate the sincere apology I received by management and wanted to add that to my review. They both showed care and compassion and that is what it's all about. If I had walked in the door when they were there I would have had a totally different visit and my kitty would have been taken care of! They are what makes veterinary practice great!

We requested an intra-muscular injection before the procedure but that was not their practice. What they did offer were several overpriced packages for euthanizing! They began by taking way too long to place our dog's IV which they ultimately failed at however they still tried to push the propofol anyway. Since the IV wasn't done right, our dog began writhing in pain, yelping and licking her leg where her IV was. The vet tried to assure us that propofol doesn't burn! What medical professional says that about propofol?? THEN after several minutes our dog was still awake because the IV wasn't placed correctly. BUT the vet began trying to push the final (lethal) meds to put our dog to sleep while she was still fully awake! When we asked him to wait until she was asleep he got upset and said, "let us do our job!" He then tried to blame their bad IV on us! For moving our dog around. We were not moving her around. Anyway we took our dog home and got a full refund. Had he pushed the "final medication" like he tried our dog would have suffered a slow, painful death due to the meds being absorbed sub-q (aka not in the IV)! Finally I'd like to say that the staff there is wonderful. They are kind, compassionate and helpful. I would not trust the vet though
