I called Geico, found out I don't have glass insurance, but they offered me a "deal" with Safelite. $246, plus a fee to drive to my place. Couldn't get there until Monday between 12 and 6. Then I call these guys, and despite being across town, and it being past 4, the owner and his employee show up in an hour and it costs $160. And they were just really cool people. From my recent experience with Wisecrack I can see why the company rates five stars from EVERYONE! This past Saturday I discovered a small crack on my Jeep Wrangler's front window. Emailed Wisecrack. Sunday evening received a call from, I believe, the owner, George. Appointment made for Tuesday morning, 9AM. A couple of phone calls from George (problem getting a "real" Jeep window) and a "heads-up I'm on the way" from Bob, the installer, had my windshield in place before 10AM Tuesday. These people are fast, efficient, courteous and professional. For the record, I officially created my yelp account simply to rave about George and his expertise! I have made the unfortunate mistake of going with my "insurance recommended" Safelite glass repair and I rue the day I ever blindly took advice from them. Safelite repaired my glass, then broke the door. It would not shut. What's the point of a window if you can't shut the door?! They tried to not pay for repairs or the rental car I had to get and it was a complete nightmare! On that note, fast forward a few years to my current dilemma. George gave me an unreal quote for a brand new windshield after my sweet bf unwittingly cracked the glass installing a new windshield wiper. My previous experience with Safelite for my rear windshield? $700! George with the front windshield? $165! I was already amazed and immediately booked an appointment for the next day. He was fast, efficient, thorough and even went the extra mile by looking at another window in my car that stopped rolling up to see if he could assist. Booked an appt with George due to his quote coming in well under all others. After we had to cancel our original appt due to snow, he accommodated my schedule (work nights) and came to my house very early in the morning so I could sleep before work. We found out that we had the wrong glass (too many variances for the same car) and George got a new one the same day to finish the job. 4 stars because the total cost came in more than the original quote by a good margin, but it was still less than others and aligns well with the "market" rate. The windshield looks like it's factory installed and I didn't find any scratches, stains, glue, etc after the job. Price quoted was very good. Customer service was also very good. However, technician was late for our appointment and I had to call the office to see if he was still coming. The repairs were done very quickly. But even though I checked at the time of placing my order to make sure that the car would be vacuumed of the broken glass that I was not able to get, the technical did a poor job of getting the glass cleaned up. Plus he left a ton of glass in the carport that I had to clean up myself. All in all, I give them a 3.5 star rating (out of 5). read more

Under promise over deliver!! I had a major crack across the front of my Hyundai Sonata windshield. I called Geico, they said you have glass coverage, but a $500.00 deductible. Ugh! Yikes! Are you kidding me. Geico recommended safeglass at $308.00. Once again...Ugh!yikes! are you kidding me. Based on reviews I called Wisecrack, kept my fingers crossed. Wisecrack said they could be out next day ( in Vail AZ...no less) where I work, cost would be $220.00. The tech ...George, I think that was his name. I think he is the owner too?
