Lovely little high end consignment store with mostly women's clothes/shoes/bags but a little area with men's and kids. I have walked by here a few times but never realized it was a consignment, my sister lives down the road and frequents it often. They carry high end brands (gucci, lulu etc) and even some GAP and jCrew. They have a nice assortment of dresses and shoes. When you look at the rags it can be confusing but the price is whatever is the most recent date past. So if you see 11/1/19 $19.00...12/2/19 $12...1/12/20. $7, Today is 12/25 so the price is $12. I was slightly confused at first. Clothes are in good condition and they have two small changing rooms in the back to try on everything. Also, in the back they have the clearance racks so make sure you hit them up. It's fun to peruse and see if you find a nice vintage or high end shirt for a night out. I REALLY wanted to like Wish. It is just VERY poorly run. There is a whole roomful of bags of clothes that people have consigned and that have not been sorted or put out. (Other commenters have alluded to this problem.) Most of the things on the website are listed as "out of stock. " Why are they even on there? One time at the store, I had the crazy idea of asking the owner if she had a certain type of thing. She told me quite rudely that everything was out and I needed to just look. There was no one else in the store. Also I have bought quite a few things there, and she should realize I am a customer who actually gets out her wallet and buys stuff! I have found some nice things there... but I really dislike giving my business to a place that has so little regard for the customer. read more

From the outside , it's hard to tell it's a consignment shop bc the window arrangement is so nice! Love the upscale and boutiqie feel of this shop. I spent an hour or so in here on a rainy day and came out with some cute things for good prices! read more

Okay when it came up as thrift store, it was under the wrong category. It's more like a boutique. It's all clothing for women and the formal stuff is in the back. There was no music, no greeter, no fitting rooms. And does anyone realize how bad the store smells?! It like they take used designer clothing and sell it for $10 cheaper. It's so expensive when I'd rather buy it new for the extra few bucks at this rate. read more

What a great place to shop! I was so excited to find this cozy shop loaded with all my favorite designers! The selection is fantastic. I was there last Friday afternoon and spent an hour browsing the racks and trying different things on. The owner of the shop, Kate, was so helpful and helped me pick out just the right things. I am not grading the sale of clothes as a consumer. As a individual that dropped off clothing I am very disappointed. My wife dropped off several pairs of shoes for consignment in October 2017. Months go by, no response to emails, we stop by in January 2018. They were still in the bag in the back not accessible for sale. We took our items and left. The clerk/owner was apologetic and made an attempt to have us return. We made it very clear that we will no longer bring clothes by again. We may shop there. Horrible experience consigning here!!! Make sure you stay on top of them and get an inventory update or else you may be out hundreds of dollars like I am. So unprofessional... They have not returned any of my emails or calls. Sad to see to a business operate like this... Beware! read more

I have filed complaints with State and Government agencies against the consignment store Wish at 435 Thames St. Newport, RI. Over the winter of 2015 I consigned some coats with the owner Courtney of Wish, which did not sell. However, when I picked them up the belts of the two fur coats I had consigned were not with the coats, which renders them useless because that's how they close and stay on, as there aren't buttons or other closures. I have been by this business many, many times hoping to either speak with the owner Courtney or hopefully get the belts back, but this is never the case. I have called so many times and Courtney is never there, I have left numerous messages for her to contact me and she never has. She is deliberately ignoring my messages and I still haven't heard from her. These are terrible business practices. As an owner, how can you not respond back to one of your customers? I would not recommend this store to anyone! read more
