I've had Wisper for over a year now and can say that it is the best internet service I've had. I've lived in lots of different places, including other countries and have tried a lot of different providers. So far this is my favorite. It's faster than any DSL I've had, and cheaper than cable, because I don't have to bundle with TV. Not to mention that their tech support is local and speaks english, and they get straight to problem and don't make you jump through tons of hoops as I've had to do in the past. It's light years faster than both types of satellite internet I've tried, and much faster than an aircard/Mi-Fi thing I had to suffer with. I was also impressed with the installation and service technicians. They were clean and friendly, and extremely professional. The installer mounted a dish on my roof, and ran a cable to the inside, and installed a Wi-Fi router. I run Netflix on my Wii across the house. I run it all day long, sometimes Netflix on 2 devices at once and play WoW and it doesn't miss a beat. Yeah obviously no data limits to get me down! I have experienced two outages which were pretty brief. One was after a lightening storm fried some equipment at the tower. I probably shouldn't but I often use the internet during storms and never had problems on my side. I'm in Mascoutah, and I know a lot of people have cable here because they don't know Wisper exists. If they did know they would probably be tempted to switch. If you are like me and want to support local businesses then it's just icing on the cake. Horrible Experience with Wisper ISP I have been throughly disgusted with Wisper from start to finish. My experience with their customer service has been nothing short of frustr. I went a full two months without internet because they couldn't get a technician to my area, which severely impacted my work since I rely on the internet for my corporate job. Despite this, I was still forced to pay the full amount for two months with zero service. As if that was not bad enough, which I finally canceled my service, they had the audacity to tell me I owed them for a router that I do not have. I received a voicemail stating that I would be charged for this router because the technician "didn't have it," and therfore, they assumed it is still in my possession. I clearly explained to Carol from Whisper ISP that I watched the technician take the router to his vehicle and put it in the front seat, but she insisted that this couldn't have happened and that the router was still at my home. Now, I'm stuck with a bill for something I don't even have. It's beyond frustrating to be blamed for their inventory mistake. I have zero trust in Wisper ISP, and I will never use their service again. I would not recommend them to anyone, especially considering how poorly they handle customer service and issues like this. I have had wisper internet for several years. I am very happy with their services. outages are very rare, usually if there is one they notify me before I have time to report it. I can't remember an outage that was very long. they usually have it up and running within a very short time. if there is a delay they advise you to the status so you're not just left hanging wondering when it will be repaired. I switched from dsl service to Wisper because my service was very slow and the cost was high for what I got. I also had outages with regularity and sometimes it could take almost a day to get help. all in all I'm very satisfied and would recommend this to anyone. their customer service is outstanding. polite and i think they are from the United States instead of somewhere overseas. A terrible internet provider, maybe if you do not game then this is the provider for you, but even then their connection is unreliable, I have a friend that lives next to a tower and he loves it, but if you are like me and stuck out in the deep country this is not the provider for you, Wisper is a glorified dial up connection and once I move to a place with actual options I will never consider Wisper again, the only thing I can say to people that have no choice is to be patient, since the internet is being reclassified as a public utility it is only a matter of time before companies that only succeed by having no competition will go bankrupt or at the very least be forced to provide an actual quality service. read more

I just have an email account that I pay $10 a month for. I don't like having to pay for it, but I'm 67 and have had this account for a very long time. I've thought about switching to a free service like Google or Yahoo, but it would take too much time to figure out all of the accounts that I would need to update. read more

We had an issue with our service buffering, and the serviceman came the next day to fix our issue. It ended up being our router, so he left a new one & problem solved! We very rarely have issues with our internet, and as you can see, if there is a problem, they came to fix it the next day. Great customer service! read more
