What I like about this SEPTA regional rail station and others on the Main Line is they have kept the vintage, historical feel - with huge help of course by the community organizations. Brick walk way and the historical train building and covering over the platform- definitely gives you a serene vibe than standing on a concrete platform a plastic bubble house with minimum seating. There are lots of trees in the background too that's brings color during the fall. Since land is scarce to expand in the area, parking is better than some of the small stations ( Ardmore) but not as plentiful as some of ones out in the further burbs like Paoli. I have not counted but wiki says 117 spots. With people still WFH they parking is easy to gets spot during AM commute and Free now Usually $1 day. Warning- when I commuted pre pandemic you were out of luck by 8am to find a spot. Negative is that the parking is a bit crammed and there are parallel spots to the tracks that are across the parking spaces. There is litle space between the two so when back out you have to be careful not to hit the car parked parallel to the tracks. Also it's a one way parking lot so when when everyone is coming in in the AM and coming out in the PM it's a wait. You can also get a monthly parking pass in a selected lot on the westbound side. Convenience - a Wynnewood shopping center and Whole Foods , Starbucks and First Watch is a block away. If you are in the area and plan to commute in the a regional Rail I pick this one. 15 min ride to 30th St Station - yay!-

Buy a roundtrip ticket, check the schedule and hop a 30 minute train to Philadelphia and go where you please. It drops off conveniently at the Convention Center as well as multiple other stops that make Philadelphia more accessible for those that live in the suburbs. Train schedules are quite different from morning to evening to weekends so I would make sure to research accordingly. Parking at the station is $1 and you must pay in quarters, you've been warned. It's convenient to surrounding towns and is a major train station for everyone who commutes into downtown for work. I'm a fan.

This station is within walking distance of my house and it is very quaint, maintained, clean, and feels safe due to it being surrounded by a residential neighborhood. What I like is how it feels back in time. It has a lot of character as far as design. You can purchase tickets at this station. There's ample parking on street and there's a parking lot with limited spaces depending on time of day. The only thing with parking on street is walking up the hill, but that's good exercise!

There is a gas station about 0.3mi up the road (much easier to walk there on the Elwyn Ave side). You WILL NEED transportation from this station when you arrive, so plan that in advance. It is very dark outside the station at night. - This line connects at 30th Street Station, to access Amtrak, and other regional rail lines. It also stops at other center city stations, to connect with regional rail and subway lines. This line does not go directly to the airport. You are better off getting a taxi or private car for the time it would take to make connections for the airport. - If you ride this into town and miss your stop, you will be headed to Trenton, which is the northeast-bound line for this same train. History: This line used to take commuters all the way to West Chester, PA, until 1986. Stops at Williamson Trade School, Glen Riddle, and other local hubs, lost access, and these passengers flooded the Elwyn Station. Thus, it is a very over-crowded stop. Parking has been a problem for years. New lots were built a few years ago, but the station remains crowded and full. Future: This line is planning to reach Wawa, PA by 2020. The new structure to get to the tracks is fine but the elevators don't always work. I've carried heavy suitcases up and down stairs for elderly people on multiple occasions because of this. Honestly I don't fault the station workers at all. They're doing the best they can. Amtrak and SEPTA need more funding. This place is basic. There's literally only one platform but I notice a lot of first time riders getting confused, maybe because it's Amtrak and SEPTA combined? I would suggest adding more signage.

This train comes every 2x an hour at the 7 and 37 min after the hour like 10:07am and 10:37am. The ticket master will come around and stamp it and you have to keep it when you get off to get out at the turnstile. This is probably the easiest public transportation airport and the most economical way to get downtown from the airport w it being under $10 so you can avoid Uber and Lyft and use the money for food like hoagies and cheesesteaks.

My group said we could've just got in our cars and did the tour ourselves. We did enjoy ourselves, but wouldn't pay for this again. I think because we live here it felt a little lackluster. True tourists might love it though so I'm not, not recommending it lol
