My son got married in Alaska and we hired With a Twist in an attempt to make it easier on everyone because we were coming from Colorado. Worst experience ever. Their customer service person called 3 days before the wedding (all payments had been made) to inquire if this event was still taking place. Yes of course it is-you certainly took our money. Total lack of communication between the owners, the customer service person and us the wedding party. Day of the wedding...The bartender showed up 53 minutes late-we were lined up to go down the aisle. The company said they had geo-located her being at the venue. She was not. I texted back & forth with them and although the bartender was not there they continued to say she was. Sent pictures of the empty bar. She was seemingly drunk, totally unorganized when she finally walked in and was already running behind before the guests came into the reception from the wedding. She could not seem to make a drink in a timely fashion to save her life. She asked my son's friends to cover the bar while she went to restroom then we see her outside vaping and eating a sandwich. We fired her and my son's friends had to bartend the rest of the night. She was there 2 hours tops and we were only refunded $128 out of the $2,100 we paid. Run do not walk away from this business. If I had even lower stars and 1 I would give them that. TERRIBLE. read more

In the Oxford, MS and Memphis, TN area! If I could give zero stars, I would. Communication beforehand was great, but the service the day of the event was unacceptable. One bartender did not show due to an unforeseen issue, and the two who did arrive failed to set up either bar before guests arrived. Although scheduled for 5:15 PM, they did not begin gathering alcohol until 6:30 PM, with the event starting at 6:45 PM. Nothing was prepared for cocktails, no lemons, limes, strawberries, or fresh mint. No beer or white wine was placed on ice, despite me purchasing the ice and coolers specifically for that purpose. When I arrived at 6:50 PM, the beer and white wine were still warm in boxes. Despite the company claiming staff arrived on time, the venue staff and event witnesses observed otherwise. The experience was so disorganized that this company is no longer allowed to work at this venue. read more

Used them for a Bollywood-themed birthday party, and they were great! Leading up to the event, they were very helpful in guiding me on how much of everything to buy (liquor, beer, and wine). At the event, the bartenders were quick at setup and teardown and really professional and friendly. They were also really flexible at accommodating a last-minute request to serve custom shots (which were a little bit fussy to serve - so I appreciated it!). I was really happy with the service, and it was significantly cheaper than the caterer I was considering as an alternative. Being able to buy your own liquor and have them serve it is THE BEST. We used their beer + wine only package since most of our wedding guests came from out of state to Colorado which worked out perfectly and since we were able to go through a liquor store that accepted returns, we ended up spend less than half of our original alcohol budget! First I have to say if you are looking for a venue for your wedding, find one that lets you bring your own alcohol. It will save you a ton. Secondly you should hire With a Twist to be your bartenders. Wed had our wedding at Dellwood Barns,which allows you to bring your own alcohol but you must use a listened bartending service. We chose With a Twist because it was one of the two recommended bartending services. Compared to the other service we looked at, they were also cheaper and easier to work with. On the back end (dealing with the corporation) was a breeze. They replied to e-mails and phone calls in less than 24 hours usually. The price was extremely reasonable, and they were very flexible with changes. They also made sure to ask questions that I hadn't even thought about. They asked about champagne toasts, wine pours for dinner, and other things like that. It was really great to have an easy to talk to expert about those things. The day of with the bartenders was also really easy. We had two bartenders arrive for our event. They were very professional, arrived on time, and were dressed appropriately. They were also extremely friendly and open to whatever we wanted (signature drinks, only wine and beer at certain points, did we want special pours for the head table, etc). The only issue we really had with them was a lack of knowledge. For example, they didn't know what port, blue curacao, and midori were. We tried to give them drink suggestions for some of the mixers and liquor they weren't familiar with but they wanted to know how to make them (like an appletini). We aren't bartenders so we didn't really know. They also weren't super creative when it came to drinks. I get that having someone say I want a strong rum drink when there are a lot of people at the bar can be stressful, so I can't fault them too much for that. I also wish that I had listened to our coordinator. Our coordinator said that she would have hired three bartenders and not two, as With a Twist suggested. The bartenders weren't able to get to the wine pours for the tables (except for ours) because they were too busy. I think an extra pair of hands would have helped a lot. Overall though I was extremely happy with the service and would hire them again. Our guests really enjoyed the service, for the most part they kept the line moving, they poured a stiff drink, and the headquarters was easy to deal with. 97/100 read more

Very happy with this service. We used them for our wedding out at Gibbs Farm because we had to have someone licensed. It was super easy to book and the bartender was professional and good-natured serving wine and beer to all of our guests. We ended up saving a bunch of money since we had a liquor store deliver the wine and beer the day before instead of having to go through them. Highly recommend. read more

We booked 'With a Twist' over a year ago. And we were told we should back out (that they weren't reliable). And I have to say that I am so glad we kept them! We got to bring our own alcohol which saved a ton of money (thanks Costco and homemade wine from my MIL)! The company was very communicative. Answered every question I had and was wiling to do things not traditional (like not serving booze during dinner). We paid extra for a beverage station which was adorable and people love it. Our onsite bartender was Bill Irke. I cannot say enough good things about him. He was so much fun. He dealt with our unruly guests with ease. He was more than willing to help on extra tasks. He even carried the beer/kegs to the car at the end of the night. He was willing to go the extra mile without even being asked. We give him a 5 star rating. Give him a raise! read more

We hired With a Twist for our wedding in September. Everything seemed fine beforehand, and during a fair part of the event. However, the bartenders were quite rude to several of the guests, including the father of the bride. When we brought this to the attention of the owner, Greg, afterward, he sent back an email with a complete chain, in which he specifically wrote: "Sounds like Mom is a piece of work", referring to the mother of the bride, and "Sounds like they are a victim of their own stupidity." When we brought this to Greg's attention he didn't so much as even write back with an apology. Just crickets coming from his end. Unbelievably poor customer service, and frankly, just incredibly immature. I would not recommend them as if there happen to be any issue apparently the owner will just be talking crap about you behind your back. read more

We hired With a Twist for our 7/21/18 wedding. It pains me to write this review, but this was the only vendor of ours who truly let us own, so I want to caution anyone else with our experience. Any anxiety I felt on my wedding day was solely due to mishaps from this bartending service. Not only did they arrive late and unsure of what they were supposed to be doing (despite our briefing the timeline on the phone days earlier), they told our guests we ran out of certain beverages when that was not the case. We ended up taking home leftovers of 3/4ths of the beer they claimed we ran out of. Word got around that they were at risk of running out of cups (which we supplied), but we ended up taking home over 300. They were about to have our DJ announce people needed to reuse their cups! Our signature cocktails were made poorly and inconsistently, despite the notes we provided on how we wanted them made (in advance via email and print-outs on the day of). All of these problems came to my attention throughout my wedding day, which ruminated in my mind as I went about my night. Guests told me drinks were sometimes too strong, or didn't taste as they were expecting, and that the line took quite a while despite having 2 bartenders for about 100 drinking guests. Finally, when my coordinator approached one of our bartenders about a signature drink being made incorrectly, the bartender responded with a snarky attitude. Because we chose not to have a tip jar out, we were required to tip in advance an amount they chose for us, which I truly don't think they earned. The service was mediocre at best, and I was expecting so much more when I'd read other people's great experiences with this service. So much time was spent carefully planning and communicating what were were aiming with Amanda, the one who communicated with us via email and phone multiple times before the event. I have a feeling this company did not adequately prepare the bartenders they sent to our event, despite the impression of preparedness leading up to it. I reached out to Greg, the owner, who sympathized with my experience and assured me he'd follow up and find out where things went wrong. I have not heard back. If you have another option for a bartending service, I would not choose With A Twist. This is the one thing my husband and I both wish we could go back and change about our wedding. We paid a thousand dollars while supplying all of our own booze, cups, pop, mixers, etc. The service was not worth this amount- your money is better spent elsewhere. read more

We needed licensed servers at our wedding reception site in Hastings and With a Twist was beyond fantastic! They offer two options, of either providing licensed bartenders and non-alcoholic items, napkins, etc, or a package that's basically just the bartender. We went with the "just the barman" option, which was about $350, and then we added a second barman for $25/hr. We couldn't be happier. We were able to save a huge amount on the liquor bill (for 60 people for beer we spent $130 on high quality nice beers and about $550 on 6 cases of award winning wine and champagne)! We couldn't have chosen or even afforded the kind of beer and wine selection we wanted with a traditional company that provides the alcohol. It also allowed us to be creative with the drinks menu, so since we weren't allowed to have hard liquor (according to the reception site rules), we had mixed drinks with champagne, like "belini's," and the bartenders were happy to mix anything we requested. The service was wonderful! Both bartenders were very friendly and helpful throughout the evening. They were polite to all of the guests. We had an extra bartender who walked around from table to table with wine refills. It looked super classy and expensive but in fact was really affordable. We'd really recommend them!!!
