I felt like she actually cared and listened to my financial situation, my concerns about where I would be living and where I could get affordable health care. They even booked me for a free ultrasound at 8 weeks because I found out I was pregnant at 4 weeks so I had some time to digest what was going on. They allowed my husband and my mom to be in the ultrasound room and the tech was super helpful and even helped to send off a prescription for my nausea so it was one less doctors appt for me. I'm taking the parenting classes here in person since it's close to home and my husband takes his online so we can earn points to shop for various baby items. I'm happy to say that I've been able to collect diapers, a bassinet, a cart cover, a crib, and a rocking chair all at no cost to me, just redeemed with my class points. I've recommended this place to 3 friends already who've all had various situations and enjoyed the service here.

I really love that they are taking care of women because things can be so expensive and that can make people not want to have children. I was so worried about that and they took all the worry away and the staff was so friendly and helpful!

As a young patient I'm sincerely disappointed in my experience with this place. Everyone who works…read morehere, from the front desk staff to the nurses and doctors, are overly rude and judgmental. I've been to this location multiple times over four years and every-time, my doctor has been judgmental and seems irritated with me. As a gyno, you deal with a multitude of things on the daily, there should be no judgement towards women who come to YOU for help. And calling the office is the worst! You can never speak to a real person. Scheduling an appointment is nearly impossible too. I had one scheduled for 1pm and without any prior notice, they changed it to 2:50pm, nearly THREE HOURS later!!!! Women's health is not taken seriously enough, do better.

My initial provider, a PA, is great. The same cannot be said for Dr. Murray -- someone I never saw but who was the person that reviewed an ultrasound of mine and said it was normal with no follow up needed. Imagine my surprise when my PA comes in during a different visit showing me my entire ovary covered in cysts. It is no secret Dr. Murray is dismissive of young patients, however, to call an ultrasound showing an ovary full of cysts "normal" for a patient you've never met, is close to malpractice. The office will also deny you care. On two occasions appointments I was requested were denied. One for a follow up for an abnormal Pap smear "just get another one in a year" and another where I was told "nobody does that for young patients." As much as I LOVE my PA, the office itself is a mess and I don't want to continuously have to fight to talk to a real person, deal with the rude front office, and basically beg for anyone other than my PA to take me and my pain seriously. Find someone else.

While the care has been wonderful, I am astounded at the lack of professionalism when it comes to their billing practices. I was supposed to be scheduled for a surgery. It has been more than 2 weeks since my appointment and I have received almost zero communication. I received a text message with an estimate which I have been making payments on. When I asked for the status of my surgery, I recieved a text that said Once we receive the full amount for the surgery, we will provide options for scheduling the surgery. Zero phone calls. Zero communication from the provider about this policy. I have never in my life been required to the full cost of a surgery. I am going to reach out to my insurance for assistance. I probably will cancel due to their lack of professionalism, communication and multiple reviews saying payments get lost. It's such a shame, because I really liked the provider.

I wish I could give MomDoc in North Scottsdale zero stars after my horrific experience…read more At my annual exam, the office failed to ask for my insurance information upon checking in. I specifically asked if they needed it, and they told me nope, that they had it in their system and I was good to go. After my annual exam results came back abnormal, I was informed that they had realized I had Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS). Instead of addressing the insurance issue proactively, I was told they would not review or discuss my results unless I agreed to self-pay. On top of that, I was then billed the full cost of my annual exam. Being told that a provider would not review abnormal test results without additional payment was incredibly stressful. I understand that insurance contracts and billing policies can be complicated, but patients should be informed of coverage issues due to contact deficiencies between agencies before services are provided-not after receiving abnormal test results. I hope the office improves its insurance verification process and communication so other patients don't have to experience the same confusion and anxiety I had to.

Dumbest part is they aren't even covered by BCBS so it was out of pocket. We will tell everyone we know to stay as far away from this place as possible, and if the social media team tries to act like this didn't happen I'm gonna go ballistic with receipts. Run from here. Although she isn't my regular doctor, I went there simply because it was a covered visit. During the appointment, I mentioned that I have a regular OBGYN and that I was only there for the annual checkup. I sensed that she didn't appreciate that comment, as the atmosphere felt a bit uncomfortable afterward. When it came time for the breast exam, I noticed she was quite rough and mentioned that she felt something unusual. I asked her to show me exactly where, and although she pointed out an area, I genuinely couldn't feel anything abnormal myself. Unfortunately, because she noted that she felt something, the visit was later billed as a diagnostic exam rather than a preventive one, meaning it was no longer fully covered by my insurance. This also led to additional costs for a mammogram that I otherwise wouldn't have had to pay. In the end, after going through a great deal of stress and worry over the possibility of an abnormality, the mammogram results showed absolutely no issues. There was nothing there at all. This left me feeling that the doctor's initial assessment was either a genuine but incorrect judgment or potentially a way to justify additional billing. I understand that medical professionals can make mistakes, but this experience caused me unnecessary anxiety and unexpected costs. I hope sharing this helps others make informed choices and also encourages the practice to consider the impact of their billing practices on patients.
