The folks who work there are friendly, make good recommendations, and are quite knowledgeable. I like to support local businesses and this is one of them. If there is something you need and they don't have it, they'll order it for you. Also, they have a small area near the counter with on-sale items where you can find good buys. I'd give it a 5-star rating if it were a tad larger. That said, they pack a lot into the place and have a very nice selection.

That is very crowded with a large variety of high-end products. Staff was great, friendly and helpful. When I say there were a lot of product, that even extended to things like bitters and mixers. I love that they get a lot of extremely good store pick bourbons and actually know the nuances of what they are selling. Sometimes they even have samples available and will offer them to you. There are a lot of local stores where the owners and employees don't even drink alcohol. Sure, it's a personal choice but how can you be objective about the products you're selling if you've never even sampled them? I trust everything that this store recommends to me without question and I've never been disappointed.

I bought a bottle of liquor recently and when I got home I realized the seal was broken (not obvious just from looking at it). I took it back to exchange it but the guy behind the counter said "You can't return liquor in Michigan. Don't worry about it, it's probably fine." He made no effort to compensate me or find a solution. I don't feel comfortable drinking it so I'm just out that $20. This relatively minor bad experience added to their higher prices means I will probably do my liquor shopping elsewhere. Luckily there are plenty in Ann Arbor.

They distill several spirits and sell them by the bottle for purchase. They ONLY serve the Bloody Mary's on Sunday. It is a welcoming place with staff that enjoys what they do. On seperate occasions mind you, I don't recommend mixing wine and tequila shots. I know for a fact that is an unpleasant combo but I had to learn that the hard way myself. All this bonus stuff is a bit overpriced but convenient when you are in a rush to get your drink on. They carry a bottled lemonade I quite like, the sour type Calypso brand which mixes well with limoncello, vodka or tequila. It is my second fave to Nantucket Nectars but it is still lovely. Trust me it is hard to find juice type lemonade that is not uber sweet in Belleville so I appreciate finding some here. Staff seems helpful to borderline entertaining at times.
