Endodontist needed?? No matter who your dentist suggests, call Dr Wittmer and see if your insurance…read moreis covered like mine did with Medicare through United Healthcare. I am so glad Lakewood Endodontics is on the provider list. Couple years ago I had to have a root canal. Now this year I needed another! My Medicare insurance covered both. Your TOOTH HURTS or you would not be searching I bet for an endodontist. That means you want an appointment NOW so to speak. Cool thing this office does is even though they set a date for me I asked to be called if any cancellations or reschedules: they called the next day and I gladly went in a day after first calling. That service is great unlike other medical providers who require you to call in , be on hold, then on hold to see if any openings, and then answering yes or no! Dr Sean Wittner whole office is ten! Upon his inspection, a root canal was needed. Upon the call back I proceeded to be seen even faster! through Endodontist Lakewoods Sean Wittner set an appointment for follow up portion of the root canal too to accomplish in two visits but the first one stopping the pain. Each of my visits, 100% that is, either several minutes before my scheduled time or within 2 minutes I was led back to a room and services commenced immediately (I.e. not waiting for another time period but rather services right away each time). His staff appears as though they love working there and genuinely happy and I told Dr Wittmer that directly as it's so true: it puts a patient in a great mood seeing that. Dr Wittmer explains exactly what he is going to do and shows the visual screen to explain. His quiet voice but stated communications with his assistant Misty in the room also helps reduce any stress too as well as listening to my questions. The rooms look professional also with two toned color schemes and crowns atop doors and windows gives a relaxed professional feeling once you enter the building ( instead of one drab color and blank walls). I hope to use this office the rest of my life if I ever need another root canal as he has performed those twice now perfectly without ever having to correct anything. Give yourself a chance to receive great services too by giving him a call. Address is 10904 Gravelly Lk. Dr Sw, Lakewood Wa 98499 Ph 253 589-3636. ( or go elsewhere and risk a place sitting and waiting, then into a room for sitting again, and wonder who is treating you that day). Hope I helped your desire to give Dr Wittmer a chance to impress you too! Every other office should see how friendly yet efficient this office is. It's worth driving many miles as a sore tooth needing a root canal is bad enough, so offset that with caring professional friendly endodontist.

I needed a root canal done on a "dead" tooth, & unfortunately my general dentist wasn't able to perform the procedure, as it was a fairly complicated r.c. & my dentist doesn't have the same specialized tools/instruments as an Endodontist has. Dr Sean Wittmer is the Owner of Lakewood Endodontics, & he was able to successfully perform an intricate & lengthy r.c. procedure on me, & save my tooth - hooray! Having r.canals done is no picnic, but Dr Wittmer was gentle & very thorough, & he obviously knows his stuff - almost all my tooth sensitivity & pain & discomfort has disappeared, since I had the r.c. procedure done by Dr Wittmer in early January 2020. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dr Wittmer to perform your root canals - he is a consummate professional!

I had a dental emergency (cracked a bridge) on a Friday night and found this office was open on a Saturday to help me! I ended up continuing to have the issue resolved with a series of additional appointments. Dr. May is professional, personable, very cutting-edge in knowledge and experience, caring, kind, efficient and all my treatments were painless. He followed up by phone to check on how I was doing post procedure and this truly meant the world to me! He also gave me his cell phone number to keep in touch post procedure and has been extremely responsive! The staff is all incredibly professional, friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable and experienced. I felt very comfortable with each of them in their roles. They all give amazing care with a smile and pleasant conversation. All of the staff members I have met are wonderful and very proficient! My husband also had a dental emergency and just like this office has done for me, this office gets us in right away and takes care of us immediately. We are switching our care to Dr. May here at Comfort Dental in Lakewood and are thrilled to have Dr. May as our dentist along with his expert staff! I give this practice my highest recommendation! So if you are looking for a wonderful dental practice, this is it! And their prices are extremely competitive! Thank you, Dr. May and staff!!

Kristy was amazing and took great care of me while I was there. she and Dr. J walked me through all of the procedure and took extra care of me to ensure that I wasn't in pain. I've had such a great experience at this dental office! From the moment I walked in, Sharon at the front desk made me feel welcome and at ease. She's always friendly and efficient and helps take care of check-in and scheduling. Dan did my cleaning, and he was wonderful--gentle, thorough, and took the time to explain everything. I appreciated his calm and caring approach. Big thanks to everyone here for making dental visits, something I look forward to (who would've thought?!). I highly recommend this amazing team!

I originally found them after breaking a back tooth and needed to be seen asap. They were able to get me in next day to take X-rays and asses the situation and I had a crown appointment a few days later. Dr. J was amazing. They made my crown in office so I didn't have to deal with a temporary for a week. I had ZERO PAIN the entire appointment! We stopped for me to breathe, made sure I wasn't drowning on saliva and water whenever I needed it. Cuddled up in a blanket while on the chair. The staff were super friendly. My dental assistant kept me company and we chit chatted while waiting for the crown to be made. I loved everything about this experience! My husband and I are officially switching dentists and so is my sister in law! I was not asked to do this review, I am just that happy with the experience! If you've had a bad dental experience in the past, or just crippling dental anxiety, give Dr. J a shot!

My experience with this dentist had serious and lasting consequences for my health…read more * I had healthy teeth before treatment and had never undergone invasive dental procedures. I believed he was simply redoing some old fillings. * During the first appointment, my frenulum and facial tissue were injected multiple times with anesthetic after I was told to keep asking for more if it "wasn't working." It wasn't working, and the injections continued. * During a later visit, I received what appeared to be a very large injection of lidocaine inside the back of my mouth before being sent to his brother's office for a procedure I later questioned. * A later dentist told me some of my teeth appeared to have been partially extracted. I also later realized he had been using an in-office crown machine after hearing him talk about it, something I did not understand at the time. * After these visits I developed neurological symptoms, arrhythmia, and paralysis affecting my upper right lip and mouth movement near the injection site. Years later the arrhythmia continues and I am still working to recover neurologically. * When I tried to obtain my X-rays, I was first told they could be purged due to record-retention laws. After I cited the law, I was told they would provide them, but later I was told their server went down and the X-rays were lost. * I later discovered consent form issues and had difficulty obtaining complete records. * Because I did not initially understand the cause of my symptoms, I moved several times and eventually out of state believing the problem might be environmental. The matter is now active in appellate court. Patients should always request copies of their records and imaging and consider a second opinion before major dental work.
