I have been bringing my dog here for almost 8 years - as long as I've had her. I'm always pleased with the service and speed at Wizard of Paws. The whole team does a splendid job on all of the animals that come in!! The owner has been grooming for years and she, not only knows what she is doing, but also has a genuine care for all of the animals that come in to her shop. All of the groomers that work there are very experienced. They take their time with each animal and make sure to go at a pace that doesn't cause any unnecessary stress. They were never that friendly when I came in and the hair cut not perfect but I overlooked it. Well the last time my poor puppy not only had long uncut pieces of fur there was also a nick on his privates. It was shaved and stubbly he would not even go to the bathroom. I took him to emergency vet to get antibiotics. When I called the salon, the groomer said oh we can cut it differently next time!!!! no thanks I'll never be back. read more

I am a helicopter parent of a 80lb lab. She has itchy skin and it's too hard for me to wash her. They were kind and reassuring to me. Called and text me with an update and that she was ready. Her nails were perfectly trimmed, she smells amazing and still does. The price was very reasonable and I even upgraded to an oatmeal bath for her skin. The only thing that semi put me off is the look of the salon when you walk in. It's just not what I expected. Small waiting room and it looks like a hair salon turned dog salon. But I'm glad I didn't judge a book by its cover. Great customer service. I'd bring Lexi back again. read more

I can't imagine a worst groomer. We decided to take our Australian Labradoodle here because of the convenient location, we will never make this mistake again. If I wanted my dog to have a horrible clipper job, I'd save the money and do it myself. I haven't found a great groomer in the Stow area yet, but I can confirm to have found the worst in Wizard of Paws. read more

They injured my dog with speed brushing. Too many appointments at once. She had wounds and scabs for 2 weeks and wouldn't let anyone touch her back. She was depressed and wouldn't play for awhile. I reached out and explained what happened and never heard a word from them. read more

The gals at Wizard are amazing and we wouldn't take our dogs anyplace else. Our rat terrier is a typical rattie and would really carry on with nail trimmings. As soon as they picked up her paw, the yelping and howling began. They are always so fantastic with her and her antics and today, she barely carried on at all. We also take our eskie there and she loves her spa days with the ladies. She comes out looking ready for the AKC dog show. I highly, highly recommend them. read more

I'm not one to complain, but I specifically asked them not to shave my dog. I wanted a trim for him and the groomer and I agreed on trimming 1/2 of his fur down so he'd still be fluffy (his fur was long). I came to pick him up, and he was completely shaved. I wish they would have asked me/ called me before they shaved my dog completely down. The back of the business was dirty, and the employees were unfriendly and somewhat unkind to the dogs from what I observed. It's more expensive than most groomers in the area, and I'm disappointed in how my dogs haircut turned out. Will not go back there again. read more

My schnauzer/poodle mix who is 11 years old was cut under the arm during haircut. The owner Jen said nothing to us about cutting him. The only way we found out was when we felt the liquid bandaid under his arm. I would never take my dog there again. read more

They kind of hacked up my border collie. I tipped them pretty well but it was before I could get a good look at my dog. I also paid extra for an anal gland expression only to take him to the vet the next day because it was not done at wizard's of paws. I won't be returning. read more

I have been bringing my dog here for years. It has always taken about an hour and a half. Last month it took 3 hours and I thought well that's just a one time thing. Today it took 3 hours and 20 minutes. That is unacceptable!! The girl said our shampoo person quit a while ago and we are short handed. I said I just made the appointment yesterday!!!! Why did you take the appointment if you could not handle it!! She actually apologized for my dog getting done too quickly for the past 5 years!!! No apology for taking forever today. We have taken our dogs to Wizard of Paws for years (I think 9 years). Our current dog, Charlie is a cocker spaniel. We do not keep his hair long and no matter what our specifications are, they are always very accommodating. Jen and her staff take very good care in what they do and Charlie always looks and smells great when we pick him up! read more

We always get our cats groomed here, and they do a great job with lion cuts, and when I pick the cats up, they are always calm and happy. It's hard to find a groomer that will well with cats, and I'm happy we've found one. :) =^..^= read more
