I was not even able to get out black stainless and he tells me out of style. Fast forward, I do all the leg work and and find what we want. He orders it and says four to six weeks at best. Never heard from him again. Called him and said a phone call with a follow up would have been nice. Said he would, still no follow up. I had to call myself and find out when will we receive the rest of our order. Another 4 weeks. So in total 10 weeks and counting.......nothing. Now I have to wait till middle of July. In January I went to North End Appliance to book a service call for my dishwasher, which was not…read morefully draining. The gentleman in the store was abrupt, almost rude, but whatever... He's not the repairman. Alex came for the repair. He was right on time. That was the good part of the experience. He did not want to hear my observation of the dishwasher problem. He did not run the dishwasher. He disconnected the discharge hose, cleared a bit of crud from it (yes, there was some, but it was not blocked), reconnected, ran the discharge cycle to ensure it was emptying and not leaking from the reconnection, and left. Would not even consider my request to check for other problem. Told me "all appliances have standing water in them. Even your washing machine." "Not three inches," I said. "I know what I'm doing. This is the twelfth one of these I've done today," he said. And left. Well, he did NOT fix the drainage problem. At all. Luckily I got a recommendation of N.Z. Systems Appliance Service. Booked a service call with a very nice woman on the phone. Bernie came on time (early, actually). Ran the dishwasher first to hear what it was doing. Checked the discharge hose, then checked spigot side of hose connection and pulled out two, folded over, 1/2" rubber feet (no, I don't know what the previous homeowners were washing). Ran the cycle three times to check it -- sounded completely different, of course. Bernie was totally efficient but also nice about telling me when he was doing and why. And he fixed the dishwasher completely. Ive run it twice since he came and it drains completely. No, three-plus inches of water leftover for weeks is not normal. Good news? I have a trustworthy service company to call now.

Up here, it's hard to come by a reliable place for appliances, or a place in general. East Huron supplied some appliances to our home many years ago so we came in here to take a look at stoves. Jeremy, the sales person, was incredibly friendly and helpful as we browsed their store. We were able to find a stove and got it installed a few weeks later. They even hauled the old one away! It had a minor issue, and they were able to come back and service it with no problems!

I asked for a morning delivery and on the morning of the delivery I received a call from them at 7:30am to see if they could start heading to my cottage which was great. The pair of delivery guys (unfortunately didn't get their names) showed up just before 8am removed the old hood and range and installed the new ones in less than an hour. They not only assured us they would have it to us in a few days, but in seeing the delivery truck arrive today, I was amazed. One person in the delivery truck and up behind pulled a work van with the second person. They obviously care about their staff! They then unboxed the freezer for us and put in inside the door, which is a blessing for the elderly. Finally, the freezer was sprayed so we would not be exposed to anything coming in here. Again, totally amazing. I will in future take all of my business to Groves. Such care and consideration for not only their staff, but also the customer is something not often seen. I can say I am happy with the way it was handled in the end. The sales rep needs some training on how to deal with situations in which the product is delivered with defects or in this case destroyed. These appliance places NEED to rely on RELIABLE third parties...like plumbers to connect your dishwashers, and warranty companies to take care of things if you get a lemon. The plumber they sent to install the fancy new high-end dishwasher 6 years ago, installed some hoses incorrectly which led to a flood in my kitchen, and our needing to pull up our floors from the kitchen all the way to the front door. Thankfully we have insurance (although after this claim our rates were hiked so high we had to switch). We should have learned the first time. We bought a top-of-the-line 4-door Frigidaire $3,500 fridge there 4 years ago. We've needed several small fixes in that time, but dealing with the warranty company has been HORRIFIC. Witbeck and Big Georges use "Centricity". Well, our fridge is now on the fritz after4 years (the freezer is no longer freezing and everything has melted), and ice-maker dripping, and as of yesterday there is a loud buzzing sound -- and we cannot get a call back to save our lives, even though they've "escalated" the situation. If I instead chose to call a local appliance company they would be here in 24 hours. We are going on 6 days, with no sign of service and no promises of anything! I am sick to my stomach. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS, and they will give you a POS warranty. Hey, Witbeck/Big George's...do better! And, Mark...don't bother with the damage control here. If you want to make it right you can contact your customers who have been through H3ll!!
