He took out all the old insulation, sealed up all holes and cracks that air would blow through. He installed covers over the light and installed baffles to keep the house regulated and not sweating! The others were only willing to blow on top of the pre existing old insulation! Ray was in and out in a few days! I trusted him enough to leave him a key to the house if he needed anything. I was glad to give the business to a veteran as well as Ray! I will be using Ray and One Shot Contracting for projects in the future! I wouldn't recommend anyone else!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! EVER... FOR ANYTHING!…read more I hired "Quality Concrete" to install a new concrete driveway. 15ft x 83ft. I don't know where to start. Start to finish was a disaster. I (stupidly) gave them a 50% deposit to start. They started 7 days after the scheduled start date, which would not have been a problem but they would text every day and say they would be here tomorrow. They were very sloppy, left tools, trash, food wrappers, boots, and shirts strewn about the property. I even had to loan them tools.(which were left outside in the rain). I could have dealt with all of that if the final product was decent. This is the worst concrete job I have ever seen! I am embarrassed for anyone to see it. They did not do what they were contracted to do. They were supposed to even out where the garage met the driveway by cutting a straight line with their concrete saw...when it was time to pour they said their saw was broken. They had issues with the concrete company and held us hostage when the last concrete truck came... they said the driver would not pour the concrete unless we paid him 1800.00. We felt we had to pay otherwise we would have a 10'x15' area without concrete. Once the final truck off loaded the concrete, Malaki (the owner) said they just had a little clean up to do and they would return the following day to clean up and cut the expansion lines. He wanted another payment of 6500.00 to pay his grandfather and uncle and his partner Gray. I gave him the 6500.00 since he said the wet concrete would level out and they would return the next day. I never saw him again. I texted and called him on numerous occasions... once again nothing but lies. They never returned. I had to pay someone to finish what they could not, which was removing the form boards, piles of concrete in the yard and around the driveway and the metal posts that held the boards in place and lots of trash. I gave them ample opportunities to make this right. They chose not to. The driveway is cracking, has large ridges, bumps all over, in lots of areas you can see stones, divots, and tool marks. Water puddles in many places. Worse job I have ever seen. At this point the entire driveway has to be torn up and redone based on an engineers report. If they made the effort to try and fix their mistakes by using a grinder to smooth out the many many perfections and cut the necessary expansion joints I would have thought at least they tried to remedy the situation. They installed a drain and never hooked it up which means the water is draining under the driveway. Please reach out or direct message me if you would like to see the driveway or photos. Before I even gave him the job he offered to meet me at WNC tile in Asheville to pick out tile. He spent an hour and a half with me! And this without even knowing that he would get the job! If you have to wait -- wait. He's a cut above the rest. We are in the process of renovating a 1925 bungalow. Justin was referred to us by a contractor and we will be forever grateful for the referral. Justin's first job was to rebuild the front porch and his attention to detail was immediately evident. He restructured the porch and then individually selected each piece of wood used for the tongue and grove floor he installed. At one point, a passing carpenter stopped by to look at the work, he thought it was so superior. As great as his carpentry is -- Justin's favorite thing is bathrooms! No surprise since his tile work is perfection. Justin redesigned, restructured, and then rebuilt our challenging, original bathroom. He finished by installing the most exquisite tile work imaginable -- floor to ceiling. The end result is amazing. Justin then moved on to our kitchen. He rebuilt the floor -- combining a former porch area with original kitchen floor -- and then installed radiant heat and tile. (It's no easy task to square up and float the floor of an old house to be level, yet when the cabinets were installed, no shims were needed.) Justin finished by installing a handcrafted subway tile back splash -- each piece a little different from the next -- once again, perfection. Did we mention the exacting prep process Justin employs before starting work and his clean-up afterward? Or the fact that his estimates match his bills that are provided in a clean and detailed manner? There are not enough superlatives to describe Justin, both as a craftsman and as a businessman. Nicki's bid was mid-range in price, but her previous experience in medicine led her to consider a lot of factors the other bidders didn't. Throughout the project, Nicki would often seek second opinions, and she stayed in constant communication. She was always upbeat and took the time to chat with the gentleman, who really enjoyed her visits. With all our change orders, she was very frank about how much the overruns would be. When it became apparent that our plan to use temporary ramps on the porch was not going to work, we asked Nicki if she could add a concrete wheelchair ramp to the design. She came out the next day to be sure she understood what we were intending, sent her crew to prep the site the next, and had everything done in time for a single concrete pour. Her workers have an eye for aesthetic contouring. What I expected to look like a DMV alternate for the I-26 connector ended up looking like a Donald Ross golf course. It is also more functional than what we had envisioned. Now, I can't wait to show off the sleek and elegant concrete work to everyone who visits.
