The amount of time I've seen them take negotiating a simple document is just incredible. After dealing with a counter-party several times, most attorneys eventually get a sense of what the institution will and won't budge on, but Latham's people seem to fight on every point, no matter how futile. Each time I dealt with them, it got to the point where the respective clients and their attorneys needed to get on the phone and personally go through the red-lines point by point for hours. There are MANY better options for start-ups in the valley in my opinion. Avoid these guys if you want your bill reasonable and frustration at a minimum (not to mention the frustration of your business partners).

That was a big relief after the other attorney was trying to get us to sign with their firm and start an eviction over a small issue (Bornstein Law's fees are more affordable vs the other attorney we talked to).
