Bought 3 pallets of St Augustine. Very uneven quality at delivery which I immediately reported, but was told it "would green up." Two weeks later, with abundant water and sunshine, the replacement sod is almost all brown and dying. My yard service informs me its infested with sod webworms. Asked Woerner's for a refund and they will only replace or refund one pallet. Will not make the mistake of buying sod from Woerner Landscape ever again. BUYER BEWARE. read more

I had 7 pallets of sod installed in my front yard. At first it was beautiful and lush green. But within a week it started to turn brown in patches, and the deterioration was noticeable on an almost hourly basis. I called my landscaping professional, a company I have had great service from for 9 years. He discovered an infestation of sod webworms, the worst he had ever seen. They were in every part of the sod I bought from Woerner turf. The yard was bare earth before the sod install; there is no doubt that the webworms and their eggs were delivered with the turf. This isn't supposed to happen. Most sod farms treat their sod to kill pests prior to harvesting. Obviously, this step was overlooked for my sod. My landscaper was able to treat the lawn and kill off the infestation, but the damage was severe. There are parts of the turf that will not recover. I reached out to Woerner turf through my sod installer to see what there warranty policy was. I wasn't too upset; these things happen. I figured they would deliver a couple of pallets to replace the worst parts and we'd call it good. No dice. John, the manager, refused to warranty their sod. He said their sod farm was "meticulously maintained" and the infestation was not from their sod. Obviously not true. He told my installer he would call me personally to follow up (he didn't). Pretty pathetic. Deliver a defective product and refuse to take accountability. Cost me over $3,000 for the turf and landscaping, and now I have to do it again. Stay away. Amazing customer service! We ordered 2 pallets of sod. I showed up with a trailer and small truck that would it accommodate the order. They gladly refunded a pallet. Then, my trailer wouldn't hold a full pallet, so 2 guys hand loaded the truck and trailer. They even put air in my trailer tires for me! I'm very impressed with this business! read more

Absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. $2,000 worth of sod was completely infested with web worms and most of the grass has turned brown. The manager, Matt Barry, has been dodging my calls for over a week and refuses to even evaluate the bad grass. When I did talk to him. said he would call me back in an hour and haven't heard from him since. Left 4 messages and the location kept me on hold the last 25 minutes they were open and never picked up again. Seriously, do your landscaping business with literally any other company. read more

I bought a pallet of Zoysia grass and I am very dissatisfied with condition of grass and Management at Woerner. A third of the sod pieces were falling apart and many were cut different sizes; not all the same. Hard to lay a straight line with different size rectangle cuts! I called to let management know, first call no answer. Second call got an answering service, said they would relay message to management to have them call me. Third call, talked to representative who answered phone, he said he would have manager call me to work something out. Over a month has gone by with no call. Price for pallet was about $100 more than other pallets I bought for this job. I am not a satisfied customer. read more

Sod pretty much dies soon after installation. Nice staff yes, but who cares if the SOD dies. Twice now I've tried to have some SOD and no dice either time. read more
