M fiancé came here for dinner, And I think we finally found our go to spot for sushi. It's BYOB, prices aren't bad, and the service was pretty good. Sushi was pretty darn good, compared to a lot of the places down here. AND not ridiculously over priced! We will be coming again!

Overall I've had better experiences with Wok and Roll. We order Chinese food a month ago and the food was just okay. Tonight we ordered sushi and chicken pad Thai. Sushi was good but the pad thai had no flavor to it at all. All it tasted like was a bland lo mein. It also was not the noodles you'd typically see in a pad thai dish. Overall would start looking into new Chinese/Japanese restaurants in the area.

Had to throw wonton soup in garbage. Even fortune cookies were stale. Soup was extra salty and wontons were overcooked and mushy

Hard to find old time sit down and be served Chinese food. It's available and good. The lunch value is a plus.

Very good food! A little bit more expensive than your average takeout, but worth the cost for quality and variety.

Food was delicious, table time was nice and quick. Best house duck sauce! The general Tso's had a nice kick to it as well.

Also, the bubbles in the bubble tea were WAY overcooked to the point of exploding. Please either cook them correctly or don't serve it at all. Skip the drinks and go for the sushi! It was delicious, very generous, beautifully presented and very fresh.

For years, I had come to Friendship Plaza, though I never took the chance to the go to Nagoya. I…read moregot the chance and I will say that the food perfectly represents the concept of friendship. Brand: 5/5 Nagoya is a Japanese restaurant located in Friendship Plaza in Howell Township. I do like the brush stroke of the logo, which shows well on the entrance sign and the leather-bound menu. Website: 3/5 I do like the first impressions that Nagoya's website gives you, with an image of the sushi and an option to select "Pick Up and Delivery," which leads you to their usage of the app MenuSifu. The gallery of images of the food do provide a glimpse into the establishment's cuisine. While a couple of the menu items had images, most of them did not. It should be noted that Nagoya has unusual time lapses in terms of when they are open or closed, which the Yelp description provides a better format for explaining it than the website does. Wait Time: 5/5 I experienced no delays or disruptions during the wait time. Ambiance: 5/5 This Japanese restaurant has the unique ambiance of having multicolored lights shown upon the glass walls, while the dimmed lights gave the interior a cool vibe. This includes the dark color of the tables and the seats, all of which felt comfortable. I can clearly see how this establishment would be used for celebrations. The well-spaced tables percolated throughout the large space. The music showcased Japanese Christmas songs throughout the establishment. Food: 4/5 I ordered the Alaskan Roll, which consists of salmon, cucumber, and avocado. The vegetables gave the special roll its sharp, distinct taste. Clearly, I can see how Alaska would have a major theme in the roll with the presence of salmon. The rice and the nori sheet did not stay, and the sushi rolls did fall apart, though I did think that the rice and the other ingredients had good texture. Service: 5/5 The staff managed to provide my order without any issues. Worth The Money?: 5/5 The Alaskan Roll perfectly represents the brand of Nagoya, as among its selection of unique sushi rolls. I personally suggest creating a more unique rolls, for I would be curious as to what they would taste like. Indeed, the website provides you with many other selections of Japanese cuisine. You can also expect to find your sushi roll well-tended despite the nori sheet and the wait time it took to make them. Throughout my meal, the ambiance greatly matched the experience. The service matched the food well, since the meal had the sushi roll, the wasabi, and the yellowtail available. Concerning the first impressions of Nagoya, I definitely did not expect the establishment to have the more upbeat ambiance compared to other Japanese restaurants I went to. I will say that it did give me a new experience, despite the website's presentation. As such, the ambiance never once tried my patience while awaiting my order. I can see how the staff managed to keep the establishment cared for. I will say that the Alaskan Roll and the experience overall managed to match the price and make it worth it. Rating: 5/5 Stars With an establishment like Nagoya, I see plenty of hope for improvement and it will continue to represent Friendship Plaza pleasantly. I would definitely consider Nagoya my second choice when searching for Japanese restaurants in the Howell Township area. Recommend To... Anyone wandering around the large Friendship Plaza if they go to the Shoprite there if they are looking to try Japanese cuisine.

On the outside, it may not look splendid (only because you have not stepped inside). Concerning the interior, you are welcomed with two portraits the moment you walk inside. It gives you an idea about the simple aesthetics that pervades the establishment. You will find many geisha portraits upon the walls. At the corner, you will find a section that directly sells the seafood. Indeed, the unassuming appearance of a restaurant in a shopping plaza gives way to an interior filled with quiet joy. Website: 4/5 It has a basic design, with the theme typically used for restaurants leading you down to the description and a separate page for the menu. However, it had no images accompanying the menu items. Nevertheless, it functions well enough. Wait Time: 5/5 I experienced no interruptions while awaiting my order, which came quickly. Ambiance: 5/5 I do like the blue, twinkly lights upon the upper parts of the wood-paneled walls that gave the establishment a calm, cool vibe, along with the smoothly low volume of the pop music. There is a large circular light at the center of the ceiling, which I presume is turned out at night or during special events. The seats felt comfortable and the booths and the tables had a tolerable space. Be advised that it is authentically Asian in the sense they do not have forks or knives, rather only chopsticks. So, please know how to use them before coming. Food: 5/5 I ordered the Dream Roll, which is a specialty roll consisting of steamed shrimp, avocado, cucumber, and topped with lobster salad, seaweed salad, and honey sauce. I did enjoy the shrimp which gave it a hearty taste along with the avocado, seaweed, and honey sauce. I should forewarn that their wasabi did get pretty zesty, for it was not the diluted store-bought version (and most certainly not pistachio ice cream). Even as I ate half of a sushi roll, it still held its form and did not completely break apart. Clearly, this specialty roll is a dream encapsulated within a roll. I also had a side of water that came free of charge, which I wish more restaurants start doing more for a liquid that takes little effort to acquire. The prevalence of seafood and vegetables managed to help me get a more healthy meal. Service: 5/5 The owner served during a slow time and accommodated me throughout my time there. Worth The Money?: 5/5 The allure of the specialty rolls and the presence of Japanese and Thai food reflects the brand of Asian Harbor perfectly. Food can definitely speak in a universal language through the sensation of taste. What Asian Harbor tells me is that it has a lot to offer Aldrich Plaza. The website I would say does not evoke the aesthetics well, particularly considering how Americans typically know little about China and Japan (and even little about the rest of Asia). It would help to perhaps teach some Japanese or Thai words and history on the site. At no point did the wait for the Dream Roll feel cumbersome when accounting for the ambiance. The soothing atmosphere made it easy for me to wait as I wrote, and it fits the brand quite well. Just as well, the atmosphere let me immerse myself into the Dream Roll, as though the experience itself was a dream. Overall, I could find nothing seriously wrong about Asian Harbor. My experience was too pleasant to give it a low score. Considering the status of the Dream Roll as a Specialty Roll, I expected it to have a high price, which comes with the ingredients packed into it. I would absolutely consider it my first choice for Asian cuisine, and I would say that the price is worth it. Rating: 5/5 Stars I enjoyed my first visit to Asian Harbor, and I hope it is not my last, since I have yet to try more sushi rolls. Recommend To... Anyone looking to familiarize yourself with Japanese and Thai cuisines, but are looking for the challenge of using only chopsticks.

Sushi Nation tops the charts at a solid 4.8 stars on Google and was a no-brained for me to go a little out of my way to do so. This is a small, clean hole in the wall joint smack dab in the middle of a dense orthodox Jewish neighborhood in Lakewood, NJ. It was jammed when I came at 4pm with school children who adore the food. Three tireless sushi-sans stand and create each dish to order, pumping out extraordinarily excellent sushi for the price. The owners obviously have an excellent fresh fish connection. The salmon and yellowtail, for instance, is as good as you're likely to find in far more expensive sushi restaurants. Their '3 for the price of 2' deal on their sushi rolls also represents an amazing value to quality ratio. Undeniably 5-stars.
