If I had to get a morning job in Amsterdam for seven days, I would wake and work at Wok to Walk a week. Unless it's whack. This is all I wanted to eat on my second visit. Simple: choose one of seven bases (noodles, veggies, rice), one of 21 meats or speciality veggie, and one of eight sauce (peanut, oyster, soy, garlic, hot). Don't worry, there's no math, but you could probably ask one of the workers to figure out how many combinations that is. 3200 is my guess. Anyway, they throw it in a wok, fire it up, toss it around, shove it into a box to eat on the go. Cheap, fresh, and open until 1 (3 on weekends).

Best (and probably only) stir-fried, greasy Chinese food in Amsterdam that stays opened late! Not only do I love the creative name to this place, the food is served up fast and it is ultimately great to fulfill the late night munchies! You get to pick the type of noodles or rice, a variety of toppings to be tossed it in with and the sauce to complete the meal! It is super delicious! Trust me! You simply can't deny it while being a passerby!

I have always been interested in this place when visiting Amsterdam. I decided to give it a try when I went in early July and loved it. It's very affordable which is always a plus to cut down traveling costs. The average price with a drink is around 9-11 euro. Their menu style is similar to Chipotle's, but it is an asian stir-fry. You can pick your base of noodles (egg/rice/udon) or rice, a main protein or vegetable, and all stir-frys come with the veggie/egg mix, so it is friendly for all diets (vegetarian/gluten free/etc). You can pick as many proteins/veggies as you want, but you have to pay extra for each additional one. I chose the rice noodles with beef, broccoli, and the tokyo sauce (teriyaki), and it hit the spot for a late night bite! The environment is bright and fun, and the service was great and extremely quick. Definitely recommend this place when you aren't feeling like spending 20-30 euro on a dinner! Also, I had no idea that this chain was in the US, so I will definitely be eating at a store in Newark or NYC when I'm in the area next to see if it's the same.

Yesssss!! I love wok to walk. First discovered it while in Spain and was happy to see it again here in Amsterdam. Great way to get a full meal that's both delicious and customized very quickly ++customization - you can choose what type of noodle vs veggies vs rice to get as your base, as well as the veggies or meat you want in it as well as your sauce. I added a lot -- mushrooms, cashews, chashu pork, bok choi, so it was an addition few euros but definitely worth it. I like the Beijing sauce which is basically an oyster sauce but it's yummy and slightly sweet!

It's no secret that I love Wok To Walk, but this one is quite small but it wasn't completely over-run at lunch time which I was expecting considering it was near the Old Church. The service here was GREAT! Super friendly welcome and we didn't have to wait at all to order. And as soon as we ordered someone was already cooking it up. Definitely the quickest I have ever been served! I even took a Wok To Walk newbie here and it won her over :)

This was the second wok to walk we went to during our visit to Amsterdam. This location was more spacious than the other location just a few blocks away. Food and service were comparable. I liked this location a bit more because they serve the food on actual plates if eating in. This place is great for customizing your order!

A satisfying meal at a reasonable price. Feel sorry for the two cooks who are sweltering over the woks, didn't see a tip jar.

This particular restaurant satisfied my craving for Asian food, located next to the Red Light District. Service was very helpful and friendly, food was just as good! First, let me say the carpets are filthy dirty, and we didn't realize this until we were seated. There are small flies, flying around on the second level where we were seated. While we waited for our food they were everywhere. We both swatted flies on our legs and arms. We ordered the ribs with bone in black bean sauce to share, and when it arrived, it was tasty but there were small chips of bones in the sauce that made it very unpleasant to eat. We sent that entrée back. We had the shrimp and chicken satay which we only ate half because the satay pieces on the bottom of the plate were just sitting in grease. So we paid for our soda and beer and the satay and departed. This is the definition of a tourist trap restaurant. I find it hard to believe any self-respecting Amsterdam person couldn't find a better Chinese restaurant to eat in.

Seeing a place like this would normally give you pretty substandard food and banking on the Chinese aesthetics but not here. The food was way above average with terrific taste and a large variety. And the aesthetics were very pleasant - especially being on the water! FOOD: So good. We ordered a BUNCH of food knowing we would take some back with us to the hotel. Now, I know I'm coming back whenever we visit Amsterdam. We had the 3 meat plate which had roast pork, cha siu pork, and roast duck. All so good. Really loved the cha siu (which is a Chinese version of BBQ pork). Usually overcooked, this wasn't. We also ordered kung pao chicken which was delicious. Usually kung pao is filled with veggies and other fillers but this was tons of great chicken! And then there was the dim sum. So good. Just yum. And good rice. SERVICE: Good and certainly better than expected. We had a nice English speaking guy helping us out and he was great. The food was served in nice sized portions and it came out relatively quickly. They serve it as it's ready and not in any particular order. Actually made it more pleasant. COST: Reasonable for what you get which is high quality food in a beautiful setting. Definitely worth a return visit.

Their menu is impressively large and the dining room is small but inviting. Prices are quite high, but you are in a tourist area. We ordered a Kung pao chicken and a chicken fried rice to share. We both had a very weird 'chemical' taste that would occasionally occur with the Kung pao but neither of us could figure out what it was. The chicken fried rice was fine but contained very little chicken. My house white wine at 4.5 was fine as well as hubby had a Heineken. The biggest issue was the many Gnats that just descended on us once our wine arrived. If you zoom in on the picture, there were quite a few just hanging out after our plate we removed. We have been to many restaurants since we arrived here and this is the first with this issue. It got even worse once our food arrived. Very irritating. Service was just ok. We were here at a weird time because we are very jet lagged and trying to get on the time zone (needed dinner early). The staff were having their dinner so we felt a bit of a nuisance. Bill was about 50 euro.
