PROS: + Friendly service! They were short staffed on the day we visited, but the service was still so great. + They sell some snacks in the store, but they do not sell hot food. + Dog friendly! + Loved the tasting options. We even got a complimentary taste of a rose, which was a nice touch. + Beautiful vineyard with a gorgeous view. We got some info about the grounds, and it was fascinating.

First of all, the Winerys in Edna Valley are all fun and the wine is amazing. Wolff must set the standard. On arriving to the entrance you drive thought the vineyards and drive up to the tasting house and area. You look out over the Ends Valley, what a beautiful view. You are greeted by the staff immediately . You can choose to be inside or out and enjoy the weather and great view with a very nice glass of wine or a tasting ($20) free to members or if you buy 2 bottles. Charcuterie boards are available or you can bring your own. Wolff makes a nice variety of wines, whites to bold reds. They even make bubbles. If you visit Edna Valley Wolff has to be on your wine stop list!

I had a party of 28 people which I asked to reserve for and they set up this whole area for seating and a table just for pouring wine! Great hospitality and service! They also allowed us to bring our own charcuterie and even gave us extra cutting boards and tin foil to pack it up. They had an amazing Chardonnay which was oaky and bright and also it was the first time that I actually like a Riesling, they had a great dry reisling which was a crowd favorite. Also their cab sav was very bold and oaky which I loved. You can walk around and see the beautifully vineyard as you sip on your wine. Their prices were very reasonable and ambiance is like a family winery.

This was our first wine stop & hubby & I enjoyed it very much. We sat outside & the view of their vineyard was beautiful. Service was great! We shared a tasting flight of the whites & red & we ended buying a bottle of Chardonnay.

Driving back from San Jose we were looking for a winery with good reviews...while riding shot gun, I asked my sis to hop on Yelp to search for one. After she read me a few reviews we agreed that Wolff was our target this time around. Located near Cal Poli, this beautiful vineyard is up on a hill with a spectacular view. We sipped our wine on a cool overcast day while listening to live acoustic music. Each tasting was wonderful and it was a variety of whites and reds. *Wine flight - $20 includes 6 wines *Purchase 2 bottles for 1 free tasting* *Plenty of free parking *Food available for purchase or bring your own

This was a great wine tasting,m experience. I think the best I've ever had at a vineyard. I appreciate the friendly service and how fast they kept our glasses filled for a busy Saturday afternoon. There was plenty of parking with an overflow. The music was alright, country music isn't really my vibe. Not sure if that's what they always play. By the 4th tasting the music started sounding good though. There was a taco truck available, but I didn't try anything off the truck. The wine was fantastic! Every single taste was enjoyed! The Pinot noir was my favorite of all 6!

Took a friend to Wolff Winery as we wanted to try their wines and food at the food truck. first off it was a beautiful night not too hot just perfect. We found a table and one of the girls from the serving room came out and poured for us. We tried their flight of wine and they had a food truck so we got some food. I got a grilled cheese with fig and it was excellent. My husband got a burger and our friend got a veggie taco. The food was pretty good, but we actually have had better at other food trucks. There was a band playing and it was good listening to music. Thought about joining the wine club, but we had come from another winery we belong to and I think we just had too much wine so we did not. Parking was rough most people had to park on the street down below the winery. My husband has a handicap card so we pulled up nearby, which was great. Until we had to get out had to back down the street into another driveway and finally we made it out. Everyone who worked there was very hospitable.

I came here for my first central coast wine tasting and was blown away. I'm not even a huge wine drinker but the fact that you can bring your own lunch, chill, and have wine poured for you in a beautiful vineyard is awesome. The waitress was fun, knowledgeable, and super nice. She helped make our experience even more enjoyable. The value is great and I definitely feel like their wines are worth it especially if you've had a wine tasting. The wine tasting fee is waived if you buy a bottle. My favorite was the Pinot noir. I'd love to come here again.

Stopped into Wolff while awaiting a later reservation, as parties of less than 5 are able to walk in. The winery as a beautiful scenic view, which seems to be typical of Edna Valley. I opted to sit inside because it was a little on the windy side and I left my jacket at my hotel. I was in a side room that looks set up to host 2 larger parties, and the outside patio had plenty of seating with heaters. Tasting fee included 6 wines for $20, which I feel is hard to come by nowadays. Now for the wines... mind you my uneducated palate ;-) The first, White Wolff 2020, was a crisp white blend (of which I've already forgotten the grapes). It was light but didn't quite capture my attention. I was given a little taste of an old vine Chardonnay as well (I think I'm saying that right!) Just mildly on the oak/buttery side at the lightest hint. I enjoyed this one. The Rosé Wolff 2020, made with Pinot grapes, had a floral nose. The taste is going to make no sense to anyone, but to me it had a savory yet crisp "pizza" feel. Don't ask... I don't know how to better articulate it! The Pinot noir 2018 was light bodied with a hint of spice and maybe a touch of dark fruit? This is one I'd love to have with a nice dark green steak salad (I'm hungry... don't judge me.) The 2018 Cab had black licorice on the nose (not my favorite in life in general) but was a seemingly lighter cab in comparison to what I feel I'm used to. The 2020 Syrah had a dark fruit smell to it... the kind where you could just stay there for a minute and know you're about to have a really nice glass. It's what I would consider to be more "jammy" even if just slightly, and I think the description of a "BBQ wine" is incredibly accurate. (Or chocolate!) :-D This is one I would come back and purchase. Last, the petite sirah 2019. Much darker and compact, yet texturally lighter. (Is that a wine thing? It is today.) I can't quite pinpoint which one dark fruit this leans more heavily toward, but I like it. Cheryl (sp?) has been awesome. She is catering to multiple areas on the grounds, including pick-ups, and doesn't miss a beat.

I've gone to Wolff twice and it's always such a fun time! The scenery of Edna Valley is so beautiful, the staff is friendly and the wine is delicious! The tasting is at a good price and it's waived with a purchase of a bottle so we definitely bought some bottles home. The labeling of the bottle is also gorgeous. There was a food truck but we went closer to closing time so they were sold out of most food. Parking is down the hill!

    Lovely shaded patio.

Ask the Community - Wolff Vineyards

Can you bring your own picnic?

Yes, as long as there isn't a food truck vendor there that day.

Do you (or should you) make reservations for tastings for three people?

Reservations are only required for groups of 6 or more.

Hi! I see from pictures there are winery dogs on site, but are we allowed to bring our dog on site to wine taste?

Yes! I was just there this weekend and saw many people with their dogs sitting on the outdoor patio.
